I have been to this hotel several times over the past 25 years, always on a flight layover. Each time has been fantastic! The staff are all smiles, willing to help. The rooms are cozy and clean. The bar/restaurant is first class. Granted, this is not a typical family resort hotel, being that it is in the city, though on the waterfront. However, for the adult business traveler, this is the best in downtown Nassau.
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. We did not travel with kids and wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of a big resort. The pool and beach is quiet and clean. We enjoyed walking to the Fish Fry, John Willes distillery, the art gallery, Greycliff, and Bay Street. Every interaction with the staff has been warm and friendly! We will definitely be back!
The staff could not have been nicer! The location was perfect and beautiful! We loved our time here! The beach is private and clean with several water activities to do. It is in short walking distance to downtown Nassau.
Did a Resort for the Day pass since we were coming in on a cruise ship. Did not disappoint! The beach was beautiful, clean, and there were plenty of shade umbrellas. They also give you a towel, and the outdoor restrooms were spotless. Our pass came with $40 for food/drinks. The food was a little over priced, but probably the best we had on the entire trip! We will definitely visit again!
This was our holiday of a lifetime with our teenage daughters. We came here for a mid way break during our trip to florida. The hotel was fab, staff lovely, breakfast was lovely and location great. My daughter enjoyed going to and from the amazing beach to the pool all day!
The location was excellent. You can Walk to downtown, Junkanoo beach and Fish Fry. Covid testing site in the hotel. The test are only $22. Beach front with view of cruise ships coming and going to the docks.
Change your plans. The hotel is closing which probably means worse service than before. No clean linens or dishes. Close to bay Street activities. But if you'd like to purchase items I am sure you can on the cheap now.
I have stayed at the BCH on many occasions in the past. However I doubt I will return there. No daily maid service , just every 3 days! I never thought I would have to make my own bed in a hotel that is meant to be as prestigious as the BC H! I was never informed of this change of policy either at the time of booking nor check in. Not only that they still charge you a 5star price. Staff are still friendly but everything there is now so expensive. No poolside bar any more. It’s closed. The Margueritaville newly opened was better for amenities although I wasn’t staying there. I will however next time
I am surprised Hilton has their name associated with this Hotel. We are diamond Hilton members so stay in a lot of different Hilton Hotels and this by far is the worst. The rooms are old and shabby. Carpets sticky and stained. No hot water in shower. Breakfast not great. If you are not there early you can forget it. The breakfast items are not replenished. Alot of the staff very rude and over worked. Thsy are not happy working there. I actually felt guilty asking for drinks at the bar.. I felt it was problem. For the staff having to serve me. On the plus side the pool beds were very comfortable and never too crowded. I would not stay here again. Needs a major upgrade. Margaritaville next door far more superior. Was disappointed.
After staying on New Providence Island for eight days and exploring the Nassau and Paradise Island, we realized that the location and history of this hotel offered a unique experience that other locations did not. We were able to safely check out other restaurants and shopping in the area and always return to a nice pool and beach area with fun views of the harbor. While not personally interested in taking a cruise at this time, it is fun to watch these massive ships dock and then light up and ride into the sunset in the evenings. The restaurant staff were generally eager to serve their guests well and got to know us and answer our questions throughout our stay. Because of staffing issues, the only downside was that housekeeping was not very attentive when asked. Still, we plan on returning here again and have fond memories of our first trip to the Bahamas.…
