We loved our stay here! The staff was kind and thoughtful, and even upgraded our room just because they were able to. We loved seeing the cats and chickens, and we enjoyed being within walking distance of several restaurants. This was a great welcome on our first trip to St. Thomas! However, definitely be forewarned that there are quite a few steps you will need to take to get to your room.
Thanks to Earl (who was totally uninvited) we were lucky to spend a wonderful night at Olga’s Fancy. We stayed at the Marriott prior to our stay and one night ate dinner at Oceana where we saw this hotel and were impressed by how unique and beautiful it was. Fast forward a few days and Earl hit, cancelling all flights. We were supposed to fly out the next day and had already checked out of our hotel when we got the note that our flights were cancelled. We immediately thought of this place and called, getting the last room- and boy were we lucky! We got our bags and went directly there! Candle and Eddie were so kind and gracious, we had a wonderful pool view room that had amazing views of town. The room was so cool, the bed comfy and the pool was very beautiful. There were cats and chickens roaming, it was delightful and we were I heaven. We were walking distancing to town and shops so we took an afternoon stroll to do some shopping. They serve coffee on the deck in the morning and we had a nice time before heading to the airport. There were many other guests there in the same boat, some of whom we saw through the rest of our trip home. This is a beautiful and unique hotel and I am so glad we had a chance to spend the night. Thank you so much for making our trip even more memorable. I hope to see you all again one day!…
Loved here! Eddie was so kind and helpful! The hotel is so quaint and cute and comes with a beautiful view. The pool is awesome! We stayed in one of the pool-view rooms and the room could use a little maintenance - bathroom door handle was loose, door was hard to close - but it was pretty minimal. Overall it was very clean, affordable, and good location. Can’t wait to return!
I searched over and over for accommodations in St. Thomas and decided to stay at Olga’s. Based on the reviews, I wanted to be near everything and experience authentic St. Thomas. My husband and I were not disappointed. Eddie and Candy (the owners) are great human beings and go out of their way to answer questions, give advice, information, etc. yes, the chickens and cocks crow early, but it didn’t bother me! I hear sirens every other hour and I’d rather hear the chickens. We stayed five days and enjoyed being right in the center of Frenchtown and bear downtown Charolette Amalie. My only concern was some of the bugs, but the spray helped. Beautiful pool, good coffee and tea. You can’t go wrong staying at Olga’s.
Delightful boutique inn in Frenchtown on the harbor. Just 10 minutes from the airport. Candie and Eddie (owners) are wonderful people. Comfortable rooms, great pool, beautiful views of the harbor and Hassell Island to the east. Oceana restaurant is next door. Will definitely end our vacations here before flying home.
Everything is perfect in this place. First, the manager is an amazing person, very friendly, and very helpful. She is the type of person you want to spend time talking with. Second, the place is so well located, close to the sea. You will see trees and sea. It is an amazing place. It is also very close to the French quarter where you will be able to find plenty of restaurants. The rooms are clean, you will find anything you need (from the sun screen to dryer...). The pool is wonderful !
Found this place on a quick hotel search as we just needed one night in St Thomas close to the airport. It was an easy walk to the hotel from the ferry terminal and we were greeted by the owners upon arrival. They were super friendly and helpful and even upgraded our room since they had availability. Room #8 was up overlooking the pool and the downtown harbor of St Thomas. We could watch the seaplanes land and take off from our balcony. There are a lot of steps up but it was no problem to us. The pool was clean and refreshing with a great view. The room was simple with a queen bed, cold AC, and modern bathroom. Friendly cats roam the grounds also. In short, we loved our stay here and will definitely come back. This is a great out of the way hotel with caring owners, great views, and many restaurants very close by. Until next time!…
Very quaint and inviting hotel. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Easy access to airport and ferry. Surrounding neighborhood with many good food options within walking distance. We stayed in room 8 and it was very clean, lots of room, and great AC. Enjoyed our stay. Please note there are LOTS of stairs. Late night noise from the Kontiki party barge in nearby harbor. Otherwise, great value and memorable visit.
This was our first visit to the USVI and St.Thomas and I was so glad we booked Olga’s Fancy as our home away from home. We prefer beautiful views and secluded spots to some of the more traditional resorts. Olga’s delivered. Olga’s is located near Frenchtown of St.Thomas just a 10 minute taxi from the airport. The Caribbean Sea is in full view from the pool deck along with the Harbor of Charlotte Amalie. The coffee is ready by 7am with cookie biscuits and rum cream set out for your enjoyment. There are many different rooms to choose from and we found them to be clean and well taken care of. One of the things we loved about Olga’s was the privacy and laid back atmosphere. With it’s convenient location to tourist areas we could walk to grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants. Waypoints Marina is a short trot from the hotel if you will be taking a boat ride. We rented a jeep and drove around the island quite a bit. We always loved coming back to Olga’s to end the day. The owners personally greet you and make sure you are taken care of with recommendations that come from years of living on St.Thomas. They even loaned us chairs and a cooler for our beach trips. Would would to stay here again and hope you will too!…
It is a charming little hotel. A comfy bed and clean room that was half of a little cottage right on the water and recently updated. It was quiet and convenient for walking to some good restaurants and shopping. Eddie and Candy (the owners) are very friendly and helpful. They had great tips and recommendations for places to go and for getting there. The chickens and cats added to the island aesthetic as much as the view of the harbor with the yachts and other boats. My wife and I mentioned Olga's Fancy to a number of people we met on our trip and would recommend without hesitation.
