Prior to the Covid pandemic, my wife and I booked the luxury Bambooshay room at the Bellavista Bed & Breakfast for 4 nights starting April 25, 2020 with a $670 deposit. Unfortunately, prior to our reservation, the pandemic broke out, airlines cancelled flights and the island was locked down to tourists. Upon calling to cancel the reservation, I was told that a deposit refund was not possible, but a $670 credit voucher could be used against a future stay prior to April 20, 2022. This sounded like a reasonable option. But, when I later tried to book the same room for early in 2022, I was told that the Bellavista Bed & Breakfast is no longer available as it was, and that there were two options available that the credit voucher could be used for. However, the new Bellavista Poolside Suite, and the Bellavista Cottage, although looking clean and in good shape, are not the luxury lodgings that my wife and I were expecting for this trip. When asked again for a deposit refund, Scott, the manager, denied our request. My wife and I are very disappointed, because travel to the Virgin Islands is not cheap, and to do so without staying at a luxury establishment is not our intention. We recognize that the pandemic has had a negative impact upon tourism in general, but I truly believe, that in good faith, Scott should have been willing to refund our deposit.…

One the first things the Owner said when we got to St Thomas was that they are no longer serving breakfast. We initially booked the beautiful Bambooshay room, then Covid hit, rescheduled. We’ll, at some point later the Owner indicated we’d be in the poolside suit (no picture). What could we say but okay. We’ll, the poolside room is actually under the deck around the the pool, not along side the pool deck. The room was functional but not at all close to the charm of the rooms posted. So, no access to the beautiful sitting area or dining room and no beautifully prepared breakfast that you share with other guests. Not what we paid for.

Very interesting review from this guest. Yes, they were extended credit to visit our property after the Covid-19 shutdown for their full amount. Yes the Bambooshay room is no longer available because that is where my wife and I sleep every night. The poolside suite is literally next to the pool. These guests acted like they were having the time of their lives.

Absolutely perfect place to stay, charming, full of character, amazingly fantastic view over town and of the harbor. Owners are extremely accommodating, friendly, fun, quiet, helpful, kind. We absolutely loved this place! Easy 5mins walk into town (but it's steep, but good to walk off dinner/lunch/drinks). Town has plenty of eating-options even during off-season. Easy to take a taxi or the safari-bus from town. Coming 'home' after a day at the beach to dip in the beautiful pool and just gaze over town and onto the harbor. Wow, you coudn't end a day better than that, and we did it every single day (4 days)! Absolutely the best place.

Wow! My best friends and I traveled to St. Thomas last weekend, and we decided to stay at Bellavista, which was the best decision we could have ever made! We were celebrating our graduation, and Scott made this trip incredible and memorable. He and his family were very welcoming and kind, and they made sure we had an excellent stay. I cannot recommend Bellavista enough!! We had an incredible view of the island, and the pool area was so beautiful. We also stayed at the poolside suite, which was newly renovated and stunning. In short, if you're in St. Thomas, Bellavista is a must stay!

WE were on St. Thomas from mid Jan. till mid Feb. We are owners at the new Limetree Beach club, but could not get booked in fir our 2nd week, so I went to airbnb and found this wonderful place. We rented a huge 1BR from Sabrina. GREAT Communications, easy check in . We were given the door code to our room and, other than a housekeeping person, we hardly saw anyone all week. Bellavista was very easy to find...... That's saying something for St. Thomas. Our beautiful view was looking down at Frenchman's Cove and Frenchman's Reef and a beautiful sunset every evening. Wow. Seriously... WOW!!!! Bellavista was one of the coolest places we've ever stayed. Tucked away up in the hills of St. Thomas... We had the most beautiful view of the city and the harbour. Our stay there was almost TOO good- we hardly cared to leave the bedroom while we were there! The decor makes you feel like you are in a fantasy world... Quaint tea cups, brightly painted walls, endless bookshelves with the best books to read. Our favorite room was the blue room. I could've just hunkered down in that room and taken up writing for a month. So cute! The layout is super open in the general living area, with the ocean breeze filtering through the kitchen and out onto the patio. The cleanliness was 10/10, and free coffee, tea, and sodas were plentiful. One of the BEST parts of this bed and breakfast was, you guessed it, the breakfast. SO amaaaaazing! They have a personal chef that comes every morning and cooks the most delightful meals. I couldn't help but take a photo of each of our breakfasts there because it was so delicious and the presentation was so perfect. She even personalized the meals for you if you were vegetarian, or had other dietary preferences. The owner, Scott, was like a good friend by the time we left. He took some extra time to show us the view and the layout of the island. He was so helpful and paid such attention to detail. If we had any issues or questions he was right there to help and was so kind and thoughtful. He had an ENDLESS supply of suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. He even gave us a ride to church!!!! Thanks for going the extra mile with us, we will come again and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. If you are looking for something stylish, UNIQUE, special, memorable, makes-you-feel-like-you-are-in-heaven type of place, you've gotta stay here. Just look at the photos- you'll see what I mean. …

We love this bed & breakfast. Lovely place, nice rooms, very relaxing. We missed Wendy & Doug but the new management is wonderful. Breakfast is awesome. (thank you Linda!). It truly is a serene oasis! We will be back!

This has been an unbelievably beautiful experience! This place is just so pretty and Scott is the most down to earth, fun and most genuine guy we’ve met in a long time. He’s made our stay in St. Thomas one we will never forget and will be forever grateful for. He’s been our host, concierge, chauffeur, tour guide, drinking partner, beach buddy, and now, a new friend! We stayed with Bellavista B&B for our vacation. Scott, our dear host, just completed renovation of this lovely property. You could find every details made out of love in this perfect vacation home- impressive view, cute pool, lovely interior decor, fresh fruits, drink, snacks, and of course awesome breakfast. We stayed in Coquille Collage, queen-size bedroom, the room itself is not big but comfortable enough for couple. Again, with everything you need- air conditioning, Wi-Fi, bathroom and showers.Important to note that the property holds it own solar power and water system, so zero worries to electric power, water pressure and hot water. The room has access to deck, which was great, however better you wear ear plugs at night, dogs and chickens around island was really loud. Scott also provides snorkeling gears, beach chairs and towels, also he has good connections with many water sports, charters, and fishing activities. Don’t forget to ask him for recommendations exploring the islands. We made good friends with Scott and Linda, they both great. We enjoyed our stays, and definitely will come back. Much appreciated for taking care of us again we will see you guys soon.…

So my husband and I came here 15 years ago for our anniversary and it was so amazing we’ve always wanted to come back... so we did!!!! Wendy and her adorable amore Doug are still the most perfect hosts and I never once wanted for anything, from the welcome to day we left I felt like I was with family but family that I could vacation with!!! After the hurricane I kept in touch with Wendy to make sure all was going well and that when we knew we had to go back... this island is beautiful and it’s kind to see how everyone pulls together to help one another. We were thrilled that we could get dates for my husbands birthday in the same room we honeymooned in and just as we remembered everything was amazing from the food, the fresh flowers to the company...
