This hotel should be labeled a “low-budget motel.” There is no parking. As you drive up to the hotel, the area is cramped and unsightly. There is no elevator and the number of steps that one must climb to get to their room is ridiculous. The swimming pool is not cleaned daily. The room that we stayed in was not cleaned nor were there fresh towels daily. In addition, the room needed to be painted. The paint was chipping from the walls. In the bathroom, the toilet paper holder was removed and plastered but not painted. The TV remote control did not work and in the middle of a program, the TV would switch. We notified management that there were water-bugs in our room and they never sent anyone to clean the room. I had to go to the office daily to get towels and ask for them to clean the room. The ironing board, which was a mini board that the cloth would not stay on, made it impossible to iron anything on, so the bed was used to iron; however, the iron didn’t get hot enough to take the wrinkles out. The room was dirty/filthy. We asked several times to be moved to another room, but were told we had to wait. Finally, two days before we checked out, they wanted to move our room. We refused because what was the point? If you are planning a trip to the USVI, avoid this “hotel.” Do not stay here!

If you think you can come to a tropical island and pay only 100 a night for a hotel that it will be a palace. Your crazy. This is what is wrong in this world everyone wants gold for free. For $100 a night this hotel is way over the top. You get free breakfast a free pool and a cheap and amazing restaurant on site that 100 a night is a freaking deal. I see the reviews about the ac unit is noisy this is not America where you can drop 100k to have the proper hvac units ran to each unit in hotel. This is a small family ran hotel that's what I was told. But 100+ a night is a deal for a 2 or 3 star hotel if you want the 5 star pay for it but dont expect 5 star at a 2 or 3 star hotel. Now the staff for sure if a 5 star here. An it is not scary over here either there's alot of street hangouts but that's everywhere here they are just all friends meeting up for a beer. Nothing to be scared of at this hotel promise

Well maintained budget hotel. Pleasantly surprised. Good bed, AC kept temps comfortable, everything I needed for an overnight stay on my way to another island. Lovely breakfast included. Restaurant (dinner) on premises. Lots of pleasant outdoor sitting areas. Easy walk to Charlotte Amalie shopping center and public transportation. One of the friendliest, most helpful staffs I've encountered anywhere in my travels. As a senior, solo citizen, felt safe and comfortable here. Excellent value for price. My new favorite place to stay on St. Thomas.

I never write reviews but I wanted to help people that might be thinking about this hotel. It is very ghetto, very dirty, and very scary. Everything was dirty and looked like it hasn't ever been cleaned. Even the locals said it was the "hood" and a dangerous place to stay as the locals didn't like tourists. I was also told to never walk in that area alone at night. I felt VERY unsafe and couldn't even stay there for one night. I had to spend $1600 to move to bluebeards, which was amazing. Also, keep on mind that this "hotel" is on a very steep hill. They don't have elevators or people that carry you're luggage. Therefore, You have to haul your luggage up broken stairs to get to you're room (which barely locks). Moral of the story, I would never recommend this hotel ESPECIALLY for females. If you want to feel comfortable and safe, pay the extra amount of money to stay at a resort or somewhere far away from this one.

I had the pleasure of staying here for a few days before my trip was cute short due to an emergency medical issue. The people at the front desk were always kind and helpful. BIG props to Thomas, who also runs “ Thomas Tours” on the side, as well as security and just all- around knowledge on the island. LaVerne who served us our fresh breakfast everyday was a delight. The restaurant at the top of the hotel serves delicious food every night but Sunday. Be prepared to climb many steps when you stay here and while the rooms aren’t exciting ( but who stays in their room when you’re in this great location), the personnel make up for any mis- giving one may have. I’d go back here again any time

This small family run hotel nestled high on the hills of Saint Thomas is a delightful maze of rooms and outdoor spaces, in a great location overlooking Charlotte Amalie and turquoise Caribbean waters. It’s easy to walk to the shopping areas of town and if you don’t feel like walking during the day there is often a taxi driver on site. One of the friendliest, most service oriented hotels I’ve stayed in recently. There is a restaurant on site for dinner, serving delicious food and drinks and breakfast is included in your hotel room rate. A convenience store is across the street. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked very well, and there was plentiful hot water. As a senior traveler I felt very safe and cared about here. This is my new go to place in Saint Thomas and I highly recommend it. My thanks to Anita, Laverne and Thomas for taking such great care of me and making me feel so welcome.

Staff at hotel and restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Location is convenient. Nice HH at restaurant with 5$ / drink. Rooms are clean but tired. Nice sitting area outside our rooms for our group to visit (we had 3 rooms of people). Pool and pool area were clean and appealing. However, individual room AC’s are noisy. Also, our room did not have any hot water because the only control was a garden water valve on the shower head (see photo). The hotel could be much better with just a little effort.

The Bunker Hill Hotel provides a nice room near the city center but what I liked best about this hotel was the wonderful service-- from Thomas and Devon at the Front Desk and from the breakfast waitress too. Everyone was friendly and solved the few issues I had with the room-- the TV was not working at first and the door knob had come off. It was also fun to talk with the staff about life in the USVI, which was a great orientation for me when I arrived from Puerto Rico. Also enjoyed the restaurant and the American-style breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Bunker hill has a pretty good location as it’s near to town and easy to find. The rooms are not great looking as the ceilings look to have multiple water leaks. The shower was dark and had little to no hot water. The beds are hard and uncomfortable.
