My husband and I recently stayed here for a short 3 night 4 day trip. We arrived early, the front desk staff was very nice. They held our suitcase and contacted us when our cottage was ready. Now, the first appearance of the hotel is yes, they are in the middle of doing major repairs and renovations so the resort itself does seem to be a total mess right now but once we checked in to our cottage we were pleasantly surprised that it was very nice and clean. The AC worked very well, we actually had to turn the temp up because it was cold! We always hot want and housekeeping came daily to change out towels and take out trash. Plus we had an amazing view of Lindbergh Bay! This island has been hit a number of times by hurricanes the last couples years and the world has been in lockdown since so I totally understand why the hotel is behind making much needed repairs. We had a great time hanging out at the pool and bar. The bartender Darren (I think was his name) was great! He was very friendly and engaged with all the guests. The food was not that great at the bar but I didn't expect it to be lol. There is a place around the back of the resort by the airport called Ashleys which was very good, also a food truck near the bay for breakfast. I do wish there was a refrigerator in the room. The hotel is definitely off the beaten path and a little ways from the city so there are not much restaurant options. A fridge would have been nice to store drinks and snacks that we picked up while in town. There is not a swimming beach at the hotel but you can use the hotel across the bay, its about a 10 min walk. However, I suggest spending a day a Magans Bay. Overall we had a nice experience. I have a small travel agency and I wouldn't recommend this to any high end clients but I would definitely recommend this to the budget savvy travelers like myself.

Good: The location is literal walking distance from the airport and overlooks the bay.
Bad: I reserved a cottage queen with ocean view, and was assigned a room on the main floor with no view. We were then given a room on the second floor with a great view, BUT there was no hot water, no amenities whatsoever, dated and dingy furniture and linens, 3 working “cable” tv channels that were fuzzy.
I was charged in full at Check-in, then stopped at the front desk around 11pm and told that my card was declined. I showed a copy of the charge on my account and then had the person at the front desk speak with my bank who also confirmed the charge cleared hours before and that the hotel was attempting to double debit my account.
We requested more towels and linens at 11:00AM and did not receive them until around midnight when a very nice security officer agreed to find us some.
The shuttle to their nice sister resort was not running and we were never told that until we requested it.
They have an on-site bar that serves food. We ordered tacos and noticed the bartender preparing them with his bare hands. Stay anywhere else but here!

This place is ok but you have to reserve one of the villas. The entire place is in need of a renovation, but the villas are the most updated.

The hotel is located walking distance to the airport so don’t bother to take a taxi here. Check in is in the main hotel, and the restaurant and pool are located across the pathway. The bartenders and staff are so friendly! Please note they don’t take credit cards but you can pay via PayPal or Venmo.

The villas are quite a walk from the main hotel but the views of the ocean are amazing. Also there is a separate pool here, although it’s really small.

The room is fairly large, has a nice bathtub and shower, and a small kitchen area with a sink, microwave, and refrigerator. There is also a safe in the room. The room has sliding glass doors to get fresh air when it’s cool outside.

Excellent experience! The staff at Lindbergh Hotel was absolutely excellent Sharifa from the bar was friendly and made sure your stay was welcoming and you felt at home. Sharifa went out of her way to make sure your stay was all it could be from giving you ideas from a local on where to go and what to see to serving you with a smile and a warm welcoming. Milli in the morning was there to serve you breakfast with a smile. Keoni was welcoming and offered insights on where to visit. The hotel is in the middle of getting a facelift but they did not disturb your stay.

This place was rotting and covered in tile to hide the damage. There was NEVER hot water. They changed our room, and of course that doesn't change the fact THERE IS NO HOT WATER. Front desk attendants were very nice, but this doesn't change the fact they are making no effort to fix this place up. There is old scaffolding around the bar, and it looks like a storm hit yesterday, not three years ago. don't even try to open the slider to the deck, you will pull your shoulder out.

Upon my arrival to this "hotel" I realized that the facilities is dated and in need of an extreme renovation or demolition. I am so disappointed I don't know where to begin so I will just start from bad to worst:
I changed from room 115 to another room on the second floor as the safe did not work, the sliding was broken, the closet was decrepit, it smelled moldy and the tv did not work.
I then changed to the next room after being told that there was a $25.00 charge for a lost plastic key card and that room was a bit better by 1985 retro standards, the safe still didn't work so I had to take my valuables with me everyday as the sliding door did not work in this room either. The tv look like it had a permanent snow storm with channel 14 the only available option, the shower stall literally had elbow room only and of my 5 days there I got hot water 1 1/2 days. The front desk staff was absent both physically and emotionally as they lacked any action to complaints made. If you needed ice you will have to go outside across the roadway to the bar located down by the pool of which you were limited to two scoops only which partially melted on your way back to your room. Too much to write on the negative, the pictures on the website does not represent the reality of the way the place looks now. Take heed to this review and stay somewhere else if you can.

My biggest concerns were the non-functional deadbolt, the missing security chain, and the non-functional safe. When I discovered these security issues, I called the front desk for remedy. As a woman traveling alone for business, I was very uneasy. While waiting, I began a search for another hotel. Maintenance did eventually come and was able to get the deadbolt working, but it sticks badly and difficult to engage.

Other issues with the room: The villa I’m in is just over a narrow hill from the airport, and there is a lot of noise from air traffic. The television has very poor reception. It does have a Roku, but you have to have your own Roku account to use it. Some of the bathroom fixtures are new, but tub and toilet are old. While the shower head was new, the pipes and valves were covered with buildup from water deposits, and the mechanism to plug the tub was stuck. The phone wasn’t working. One of the bedside lamps wasn’t working. There’s something wrong with the bed—I felt like I was lying on a slope and was going to roll or slide downhill all night. The mattress is much too hard for my taste. Some of the furnishings have signs of wear or disrepair.

The view from my villa is lovely, and sheltered from the noise of the city, except that air traffic. The linens are fresh. There’s a wet bar, old microwave, and nicely-sized refrigerator. The bar also has a hot plate, dishes, and cutlery.

Around the property there are a couple of very small swimming pools. There is also a restaurant on site. There are areas around the property where there is damage to the facilities, junk lying around, and trash.

If I were to come back, I would look for other hotel options. If I were to stay here again, I’d make a thorough inspection of the room amenities, especially those for security, before settling in.

Response from Joel Kling, Other at Lindbergh Bay Hotel and Villas

It is impossible to hear any air traffic from the location you are in. We aren’t in the city either. It’s the quietest location on St. Thomas. Room amenities it’s a hotel not a condo ! If you are looking for an apartment than rent one and don’t complaint. You are paying the lowest hotel rate with a private balcony with an incredible ocean view. You are paying $100 for an incredible room.

This was an interesting stay to say the least.
When my boyfriend and I first arrived, it didn’t seem terrible. The outside of the hotel and lobby weren’t bad, but looked very dated and like the place needs a lot of TLC. Our room was on the first floor down the hallway past the front desk. Walking down the hallway, we were a little sketched out since all the other doors either had the top of the door cut off, or the handles were busted in. I started thinking I had booked a night at the Caribbean version of the Cecil Hotel.
The room itself was extremely outdated and was like we had jumped back in time to the 80s. The room had a weird smell, and we later found out that the bath towels had stains on them and hair all over them as well.
We were told at check in that the kitchen for the restaurant/bar across the road wasn’t open but they offered a limited menu. Seeming as there are no restaurants close by and we were tired from traveling, we decided to check it out anyway.
They were offering chicken, pork, or beef tacos, personal cheese or pepperoni pizzas, or BBQ pulled pork sandwiches.
We ordered the tacos and a pizza and sat down at a table. Soon after, I realized the bartender had pulled a frozen pizza out of the freezer and put it in a toaster oven, and was making tacos right there behind the bar using meat out of crock pots. I guess with the kitchen closed you do what you have to in order to keep serving food.
They had a pool near the bar, but it was green and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while and not properly taken care of. No way I was getting in it.

We were on a schedule in the morning and needed to be somewhere by 9. Went to the front desk to check out at 7:50 and waiting around for about 20 mins...no one was there to help and no way of reaching an employee. I ended up writing a note and leaving it on the desk with my room key. They also have a list of phone numbers for taxis (I think this list needs to be updated). We called 5 or 6 numbers before finally getting one that was in service. Luckily we were finally able to get ahold of someone but without a little bit of stress for wasted time.

Overall I think this hotel needs A LOT of work done and some serious renovations. It has all the potential to be a great place to stay, but right now it seems like a motel advertised as a beautiful hotel (the pictures you see online look nothing like what the place actually looks like now).

I stayed at Lindbergh bay hotel| villa for 5 days for my partner’s birthday. Operational manager Jevon France was amazing and so accommodating. He made sure my time in St. Thomas was a memorable experience . Jevon recommended me to the best restaurants and sights to see during my stay . With the assistance of housekeeper Jevon was able to organized the decorating the room for my partner’s birthday on his day off. I highly recommend Lindbergh bay . It is walking distance from the airport, beach and minutes from the city . I would definitely visit again .

Terrible experience the room was not ready till 6:30 in the evening. Many tiles in the room were cracked and uneven flooring just very cramped quarters and not worth the money that we paid, Horrible front desk personnel not giving directions correctly from the airport as we were Walking from the airport which is really close but uneven roads and terrible signage also sister property as they recommend it was not as close as they say. The property was not well kept including the grounds the pool area and the restaurant all run down, the music played at the bar by the pool area I was totally obnoxious with foul words including having kids there and just annoying music

As I noted in my original review the Lindbergh bar/restaurant is closed indefinitely due to storm damage. Long hot walk to the Emarald or long wait for the shuttle.

I can understand this in context of the pool, outdoor areas, etc., But it doesn't excuse bugs, interior peeling paint or worn furniture.
