Run away. I ended up here because of a cancelled flight. I have never felt so unsafe and disgusted with a hotel that at this point I haven’t event slept in. I literally concerned with touching the sheets it’s so dirty. This place is not newly renovated. My phone is from 1995 and missing half the buttons. My smoke alarm is going off and I had to call the front desk. I originally went down and told them I need maintenance but they didn’t come. So I figured I would call. I wasn’t too keen on touching the phone so I called from my phone but no one answered. So I braved the handheld and just pushed one of the 4 buttons I would hope did something. The woman said someone would be down. 45 minutes later no one was. So I called again and she said there is no maintenance. She sent security who pulled some wires out. Super comforting. But at least I only have to Listen to the rave behind the hotel and not the chirping too. Our flight was delayed and we asked the front desk if the bar was open and she said it was. We sat there for a bit and a woman behind the bar asked why were here and asked the man sitting at the bar why he didn’t tell us she was closed. We just wanted water and she went off on how she had a long day (as she sat there with a half dozen water bottles in her hand she was moving). Oh good news. The smoke detector is chirping again. I’m gonna lose my mind here. I should be savoring my battery because the plugs don’t work to charge my phone. There is paint painted over the switches. The other lights in the room don’t work. There is a window from the beds into the bathroom that is taped closed with packing tape, not even clear so it blends but some brown stuff. I’m so tired. This place is a dump.

I really liked the staff that were there they were so polite, my room was cleaned and I even when I forgot to put my do not disturb sign they still came in provided new towels for me without touching anything(Thank you for that) I didn’t like I didn’t have a microwave I have never stayed anywhere without a microwave but I just ate my food cold until my ride came, the restaurant closed early so I couldn’t eat there BUT the way the staff handled everything I didn’t even get upset, they were polite and the security knew I wasn’t from the area and pointed me in the direction to get food which was in walking distance and very delicious, I thank you all so much for the stay!!

Had to stay here unexpectedly September 17-19 due to Hurricane Fiona, because there was no way to get to the BVI where we were booked. Woke up with 10 bites on my face and about 30 more on my upper body on Sept 19. Went home and saw Dermatologist who confirmed “classic bed bug bites” and ordered me oral and topical steroids and antihistamines for the severe itch. I was in room 230.

Last night our flight was cancelled during takeoff and we had to make very last minute accommodations here. My family (small children) didn’t arrive until 10 pm and we were all exhausted and very hungry. After getting my children to sleep, I left them with my husband to find food. A few other women from our flight were doing the same thing. James was working security and told us that many places were not opened at that time. He knew of one local place available but was concerned for our safety walking so late. He found someone to cover his post and then walked us to “The Chicken Fry” around the corner and kindly told the person at the counter our situation and made sure we all were fed and taken care of. Then he walked us back and showed us the vending machines for ice and made sure we had everything we needed for our family (extra pillows and blankets). All of the staff at this hotel were kind and caring and made an awful situation better, especially James who was there to welcome a group of very tired passengers and make us comfortable when we needed it most.

Let me start by saying that the fact that over 50% of the reviews are either 4 or 5 stars is comical. Those are either people associated with this hotel, or people that have never stayed at a 5 star resort. This is a motel quality establishment. There is nothing wrong with motels; however the reviews are not reflective of this fact. The check in is a nightmare. They have only one person working the front desk and it is not a very efficient person. We stayed two nights in this hotel, a week apart. One was on the day that we arrived to the USVI and one when we returned from our charter. Both times were at least 45 minutes to check in and both times we had issues with the room. On the first stay, we were told our room was not ready although it was an hour after our check-in time. I told them it was not acceptable and they found me a room. The room was not terrible but the bathroom looked like it had never been remodeled. It had cracked tiles throughout and the grout was filthy. Our friends were also staying in the hotel and their rooms were not as bad so we just bit the bullet and stayed the night. The hotel has no amenities other than a small pool and an outdoor bar with a very limited selection. The staff is not friendly or helpful. They only provide two towels for a double so we went to ask for two more. The housekeeping staff literally told us to go to the laundry to get them ourselves. Of course we went to the laundry there was no one there so we had to call to complain for them to bring us extra towels. On our second stay, we again had to wait close to an hour to check in. They told our friends that their room would not be ready for another hour and half. In other words, at 7:00 P.M.! They raised hell and ended up getting a corner room where you could hear the music blasting until 3:00 A.M... Our check-in went smooth, and we lugged all our luggage to the room (because there is no one there to assist with luggage). When we got to the room the air conditioning was not working! I called the front desk and they sent maintenance about a half our later. He checked out the unit and told me that it needed to be replaced so we would need to move rooms. After about an hour of sweating our tails off in that room they knocked on the door and to inform us that they found us a new room. I asked them if they could at least take our luggage up to the new room, as we were literally sweating in that room. They said that we had to take them ourselves. They could not even find us a luggage cart to help us move our luggage. In closing, I would not say to not stay at this hotel; although I would never stay there again. I am just stating that if you decide to stay there, just understand that you are staying at the equivalent of a lower level Motel. The staff is inept and unfriendly, with the exception of the bartender that was extremely nice. The amenities are the equivalent of a Motel 6, and the location is not great either.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HELL HOLE!! I even call the State and made a report with them. This is despicable, nasty, unhealthy, and ignorant employees. This hotel need to be shut down and renovated. It doesn’t make any type of sense why they charge so much for this filth. I would never in history stay here even if it was given to me for free. I can write a book about this hotel. I arrived on Thursday couldn’t go anywhere else because everywhere was booked so I was basically stuck here. From Thursday to Monday checking out my room was cleaned only 1 time which is ridiculous and my trash was piling up and they would not remove the trash. After I called the state and reported them they sent someone to empty my trash and bring me new towels and wash cloth. I advised them and I kept my video that no need to do it now, hell it’s after 7pm for housekeeping. I been gone the entire day to come back to a room filthy. The white towels are yellow, the refrigerators just have a bulb in it and it doesn’t work, the paint is peeling, the toilet is contaminated with lord know what, mildew & etc. like I stated before I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL even if it’s the last hotel in the island.

I booked this hotel through Snaptravel. The pictures looked amazing. Little did I know that there were prostitutes staying at Windward. The room was dirty. The air conditioner leaked. There was no balcony (despite what the pictures showed). Restaurant was closed. I left the very next day. Do not stay here!

Make the best of it The accommodations reasonable. The beds were on the small side, but then again I am 6’4”. My stay was only 2 days to celebrate my daughter’s birthday who working with the local University. The staff was not overly friendly but did their job. The center courtyard is laid out nicely. With a pool nearby (But closes at 7PM). I read a lot of reviews on Trip Advisor (Good & Bad). Decided to give it a chance. It is not the Ritz-Carlton. The hotel does not have complementary items. I did not plan to spend most of my time in my room, so it served its purpose. The market is close by but very expensive (Oreo’s were $10.00).
