ST Thomas is very nice. We enjoyed our time at Secret Harbour. It is quite spendy, but everyone there was friendly. We would stay there again. The beach is very nice and very well kept. It is very quiet and relaxing.
We have stayed here several times now for family, romantic trips and quick business trips, and it has always been a great time. The rooms are actually condos, which means they have some personality, so they are all a bit different. But they all have full kitchens and bathrooms, TV's, A/c, ceiling fans, and amazing views of one of the best beaches/harbors in the VI. There is a pool and tennis courts on the property, and it is just a very short walk down to the beach where there are beach chairs and umbrellas available, a beach bar and restaurant, as well as a fine dining restaurant all with good food. There is also a watersports and dive shop there where you can rent snorkel gear, SUP yoga, kayaks, or go SCUBA diving. The beach is perfect - warm water and pool-like conditions. Great snorkeling too. Harvey is the General Manager and he always takes good care of us. Highly recommend for romantic getaways, family trips or quick business trips. We even had the whole family -23 people down for a week and everyone had a great time. Housekeeping is only a couple of times a week, so as long as you are not expecting more than that, you will won't be unhappy; but if need towels or anything, Harvey is always nearby or a quick call. The hotel is located on the East End near Red Hook, which is the best part of the island to stay on. There are shops, restaurants, markets, a pharmacy, lots of other great beaches, and the Red Hook - St. John ferries where you can get to St. John in about 15 minutes or take your car over in the car ferry too! Also it is not near the cruise ships.…
First of all, we called housekeeping nearly every day in pursuit of clean bath towels, but they never showed. Laundry facilities are not actually included in the rental of a condo, and the owners will get mad if renters are seen doing laundry. We used dirty towels for days, as we could not even find anyone to give us towels, much less show up to clean!!! Our first condo had no hot water, which was determined to be due to the need for a replacement water heater. We were promised it would be repaired ASAP, and nobody showed up until the next afternoon. We ended up having to switch condos, and the hot water went out in the second one also. This time it was a tripped breaker, which the maintenance staff said happens "all the time". I will say the manager went above and beyond to make things right, and he was very helpful. Seems he is trying to run a business with some of the laziest staff on the island. I feel badly for him. Overall not terrible, though. Amazing views, beautiful private beach with lots of coral to look at. Pool is very clean. You can rent noodles or snorkling gear right on the premises. I would stay here again, but would need to be more assertive with the issue of no housekeeping or clean linens. …
The outside of the unit was average but the inside had just been remolded and was very nice. The General Manager "Harvey" was very pleasant to work with and answered all of our questions and recommend the beach bar that steps from the unit. I would recommend staying hear and would book and stay with them again. Bret 6-29-17
This was our third time visiting Harbour Beach Villas. Each visit gets better and better. Our studio villa was updated and very close to the pool. Enjoyed morning coffee with the birds singing and the Caribbean breeze. Harvey was great, even being patient when our flight got delayed three times. Cruzan beach club has changed. No longer had the usual happy hour with Cruzan drinks or Presidente(which my husband was looking forward to). The only suggestion I would have is to have a golf cart available to guests. We really couldnt enjoy ourselves to much at Cruzan Beach Bar because we knew we had to climb all those stairs to get back up to the room.
Doesn't get much better with a view like this! Easy access to sail, snorkel, swim at quiet beach with a convenient bar & grill... Laid back, great food...we will be back with our kiddos! For a breakfast & Bloody Mary lover you will enjoy food literally at the beach!
Fantastic trip. Perfect weather. Condo was perfect. Slept 3 couples comfortably. Clean and perfect amenities. Great location and amazing view. Would highly recommend a stay for families and couples. Stayed in unit 523. Easy steps to pool, beach, bar, and restaurant.
I enjoyed my week at Harbour Beach Villas. Two bedroom, two bathroom villa was large, spacious, furniture was well appointed with a nice caribbean flair to it. Location was fantastic, on the east end of the island. I enjoyed the Caribbean Sea views every morning! Villa was equipped with every thing needed to make my stay comfortable. There is a nice beach, a pool, a restaurant & a bar on site. No reason to leave the property except to explore and enjoy the beautiful island.
We needed a place to stay 1 night, before boarding our Catamaran and sailing the BVI's. Harbour Beach was just the right spot, close to Red Hook, very comfortable room, great service from the GM and staff, nice pool and great restaurant for dinner. We'll be back on our next sailing adventure.
Harbour Beach Villas was an enjoyable stay. The GM, Harvey, was very accommodating. He contacted us prior to arrival then met us when we arrived to ensure that we had everything we needed. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa included kitchenware & appliances, bathroom supplies, entertainment features & the owner even provided beach toys & equipment for us to use! The villa's 2nd floor patio had a spectacular view of the harbour . The pool was refreshing & it was a short walk down to the beach, where in addition to beach life you could experience great food, appetizers (make sure you try the nachos) or an afternoon drink at the Sunset Grille. The beach is stunning with fabulous snorkeling! We'd highly recommend Aqua Action Dive Center on the property. One of our best days was a boat trip, self-designed with Diane's assistance. Her husband and captain, Sam, took us out for an incredible day of snorkeling & swimming with turtles, sight-seeing, island food & tales of the area. Diane provided delicious homemade snacks & a cooler full of beverages for the trip. A MUST DO if you're staying at Harbour Beach Villas! Also, Harvey introduced us to the cute little town of Red Hook, where we experienced some great restaurants and local music, about 10 minutes from Harbour Beach Villas. Take the ferry over to St. John, easily walkable with hiking or catching a bus to some picturesque beaches & fun beach bars! Harbour Beach Villas is perfect for a "Girl's Trip" or a romantic getaway. Everyone was friendly, and accommodating and there's so many adventures to be had on the island! We'd love to return some day!…
