Prepare to come back. This place is special. We stayed in cottage #12 the Honeymoon suite. Outstanding service. They truly give off the vibe that they want you to have a great time and come back. The scuba diving in Little Cayman is unbeatable for the Caribbean – and we weee spoiled. The food is fantastic and included in the price of the package for the hotel. the flight is easy from Grand Cayman to Little Cayman and back and was on time. I almost didn’t write a review because I don’t want people to know about it because it’s that good.

Hotel's Favorite
We wanted to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in a special way, and chose the Southern Cross Club in Little Cayman based on the description and reviews. It did not disappoint! Owner Peter has a very unique and special property and equally wonderful staff. It is a dive resort, but don’t let that put you off if you don’t dive. We rode bikes on deserted roads, had beaches to ourselves, and did the best snorkeling of our lives. We met great people, among them the owner Peter as well as staff and management Jen, Renita, Chef Anu- all of whom went the extra mile to ensure our trip was fabulous. Henry, Shariel, and Shal were also standouts. The meals were outstanding and displayed so artistically- they looked as good as they tasted. If you are looking for a touristy place with nightlife and shopping, Southern Cross is not for you. If you want to feed your spirit and experience the natural beauty of this island and take a real break from life, this is your place. Can’t wait to return. Thanks all.

This is a vacation/diving spot that has warranted more than one repeat visit. We dive with our kids (who are late 20's, and divers, as well). We love the diving - the crew is amazing. They point out the big, the common, the uncommon and the teeny-tiny stuff that you'd never know was there until Mike pulls out his magnifying glass and shows you the coolest stuff. I learn several new critters or facts on every dive. The safety factor is high, and the attention to detail is impressive. There are snacks between the first and second tank dives, and fresh water is available. For the boat - we didn't bring fleece or sweatshirts to toss on between dives, as the provided towels were plenty warm enough. We dove in May and the water is about 82 to 83 degrees and the air temps are also in the 80's. If you have tough feet, you can go barefoot the entire vacation. If you're a tenderfoot, bring a pair of flipflops to leave on the dock so that the hot boards are easier to navigate when you return at lunchtime. The food is top notch - like, seriously impressive. This is coming from someone who's not a "foodie" so if I notice how good the food is, then it's *reeeaalllyy* good! One of the couples on our boat took a day to fish, and caught some tuna, so the chef fixed us all sushimi as an appetizer before dinner that evening. Talk about feeling spoiled! It was super delicious! The kitchen is really wonderful about accommodating food allergies too. There were gluten free cookies the first few days because one of the guests loved cookies but was gluten-free. Those were really yummy cookies. On the day they served hamburgers for lunch, there was a plate set aside for me with a veggie burger - just when I think things are great, they make it even better! The bartender Jave is also a gem in the crown jewels that make up the incredible staff at Southern Cross Club. Just ask him to make you something with rum, or whatever booze you like, but not too sweet, and he delivers the most amazing drinks! Our room was delightful - spacious, with a couch, a built-in daybed, a dresser combo with a coffee station and a small dorm-fridge. The outdoor shower is my favorite thing ever! There's an indoor one, too. Tips: bring three or four swimsuits - one to dry while you wear the second, and a third if you take the afternoon dives. A fourth in case it rains and the ones you have drying all get wet again ... I like to wear linen pants in the evening if the breeze dies down to avoid the mosquitos (May is when they come out apparently). There are cans of "Off" in every room and at the bar, so you can easily access chemical warfare as needed. I brought a wide brim hat with a chin strap for the boat, and also a second one for hanging out while off the boat (a dry one). There are bikes you can use, plus kayaks. I heard someone say there were SUP boards too? A pair of water slippers is good if you paddle around the "lagoon", there's an abundance of conch and they can be uncomfortable underfoot if you step out of your kayak. I brought a tube of Benadryl itch relief for the mosquito bites. I brought a sweater, but didn't need it. The sunset cruise on the party-barge is fun, and a hat is handy for that. We also like to bring insulated mugs to keep our drinks cold. They have the Yeti-type in the gift shop with the Southern Cross logo, and those are really nice. I can rave about so many things - but those are the highlights.

Just home from my 10th Southern Cross Club visit and have already rebooked for next year. I travel a lot and the combination of comfortable accommodations, efficient and friendly staff and world-class dive operation is rare indeed.

I am delighted that SCC is just as good as it was pre-COVID. It is top-notch in staff friendliness and helpfulness. The Dive Team is expert and jovial. I did ten dives in the six days I stayed, and all were fine, with one in my top ten of all time--out of 400 dives. Of course, the meals are excellent--I put on three pounds. I would single out individuals, but risk overlooking someone. Still, I will mention Jen, the manager, and Peter, the owner, and Mike, Sherry, and Henry among the dive staff. Peter told me that he had 21 staff before COVID hit and tried to support them as well as possible during the shutdown. As a result, all 21 are back!

This was our thirteenth visit. We went to dive and celebrate my 70th birthday. The weather was perfect, low or no wind, nearly dead calm seas, unlimited visibility, 80 degree water, little or no current. The dive staff, led by Mike and supported by Sherie, Henry, Aurelian, and Hurnan is the best. The food was excellent as always. Indian night for my birthday with an unbelievably beautiful cake made by Cheryl made the day very special. Peter, Jen and the rest of the staff make SCC truly a special place. We have already booked our next visit.

Terrific - just terrific! Really a special place. The vibe was so relaxed and friendly! The staff was awesome! We so enjoyed the diving - which was quite memorable. The dive team was extremely knowledgeable and made everyone feel so confident. The Island dive spots are just beautiful and in wonderful condition. Accommodations, food, service and diving makes me understand why every guest we met had been there multiple times! We’ll be back! Note: you need to love diving since it’s the focus of your vacation!

We visited here with a group of friends, a few whom had been there before. We were greeted at the SMALL airport by the resort staff, headed to the resort. Felt very relaxing right from the start. The cottages are very nice, clean and great views of the water and reef. The general staff, great dining, excellent diving staff, and access to kayaks, snorkeling swimming etc , made for a great experience. No clocks, phones or worries, Just relax and enjoy!
