Eight of us went for happy hour and dinner. BIG mistake. I ordered one drink upstairs and they charged me 63. Had to fight to get check corrected. Went downstairs for dinner, did not receive what we ordered. Had to fight once again to get bill corrected. Horrible ripoff. If you go check your bill Never again

I was unable to get to Saba in Jun 2022 but made it a must see experience this time. The people were friendly, the food was excellent and the view was fantastic. We had to cut our visit short due to an impending rainstorm as we had to dinghy back to our boat. We could easily have stayed longer than our 2.5 hours.

I had come to visit Saba Rick many years ago on a catamaran trip before the hurricanes . We loved it so much we knew that we wanted to come back with our family at some point. While researching for a family trip Saba popped up and we booked it for 4 days. Upon arrival the newly rebuilt resort is gorgeous . Check in was easy and they quickly got us into our room. Not knowing what we would like to do during our trip I ended up talking to Chris. Not only did he have great ideas he took the time to call and set up our tours. First we did a private tour of Virgin Gorda with Sweet Ice Willie . He showed us some great local spots and also The Baths. Which is a great outdoor activity that includes an easy hike and some beach time. Next we did Snuba , our ten year old girl is not certified but could do this and we all had a blast. It’s just like scuba diving but you have air at the surface instead of in a tank . Finally he introduced us to Gumption. He is such an amazing human and had such a fun tour . Check out Seaitclear.com , you won’t regret it! Back to the resort. We stayed in the Seahorse room and it was gorgeous ! Has a king size bed and a pull out couch . A large beautiful bathroom and a porch to hang out. The room was very clean upon check in and throughout the stay. The food was amazing. You might get bored eating there everyday but it is delicious . We miss understood what time breakfast was and ended up coming in a few minutes after the switch over. The cook and waiter were so nice and cooked us breakfast anyways. Matthew the restaurant manager and wine sommelier is so kind. He directed us towards some delicious drinks and wines and is very fun to talk to. The morning we were to check out and move to our next hotel we got a call from a private transfer that they had to cancel. After our waitress hears what happened she helped me to talk to William the manager to get new transportation to our next resort. As with any hotel there were some hiccups but nothing really worth mentioning because they were handled quickly and efficiently. All in all we loved our stay at this resort. If you are looking to book and have questions, call Saba Rock. They will be more then willing to help and are so kind. Also just for reference we were on a family trip . It was my husband and me, our 23 year old daughter and boyfriend and our ten year old daughter and everyone had a great time.

As a local looking to patronize this beautiful resort I unfortunately had the worst time spent at Saba Rock! I initially called and spoke to the GM and did everything according to suggestion which was make reservations for the paid ferry across to Saba as well as dinner which I never got! My group of 16persons that took the ferry across plus other friends that were there prior all ended up with a horrible start to what was meant to be a birthday celebration. I am horribly disappointed and embarrassed for the way that my group and I were treated at this resort that I love so much! I love this place so much that they tried in the end to make right but the damage had been done and even though the other two managers did their best to save face I never saw the GM who initially told me and my group that he was going to prepare the table and it would take a while, I guess he’s still putting the napkins on the table! As an entrepreneur based in the BVI with specialty in marketing and an excessive contact list I’d be sure to make sure that no one would ever have to bare this type of treatment!!!

Saba is absolutely stunning! We were there for dinner but walked the entire grounds. The place is magnificent. You can tell it is well taken care of and looks first class. Dinner…that was another story. Upon arrival things seemed good. Manager greeted us. We had 2 guest that have celiac disease. Not a diet thing, like actual diagnosis. We were assured it would not be an issue. Once seated our server was so disappointing. Every questioned we asked he acted as if he was being put out. At one point, he rolled his eyes. Eventually a guest from our table found someone who was willing to simply ask the chef what exactly were the options for our celiac guest. Easy enough, he came back and provided all the information needed. This was NOT a matter of being picky just simple what can they actually eat, simple. At that point I was a bit disappointed so the food was probably better than I imagine right now. My husband had the salmon and he said it was delicious. I had the mussels (I’d skip them) and the caeser salad which was pretty tasty. Overall, I’d give it another try but I wouldn’t make it a destination stop while visiting the BVI.

I reserved a room for two nights this December. The deposit was $1500 for two nights. My plans changed and I emailed them to cancel, which is well within their cancellation policy for a full refund. The general manager William Coutts replied that I needed to do it on their site, which I did. I still have not received my deposit back on my Visa card. Multiple emails back and forth with Mr. Coutts. He eventually sent a reply that it might take up to 5-10 days. It has now been over a month and still no refund. He has since stopped answering emails, and their phone goes to voicemail and they have not returned my calls. I've submitted a dispute with my credit card.

This is a place from another world. It is gorgeous, posh but not stuffy, happening. Every detail of this place is a work of landscaping and architectural genius and beauty. The rooms are perfect, down to the towels. I wish I could write a book to provide details it deserves. There is a lively bar scene, which is really fun, but if you enter your room adjacent to the bar, and shut the door, there is instant silence. The shower is gorgeous. The view from the balcony made me swoon. But, you know what makes a place perfection, of course. The staff. Every single person I encountered made me smile and took care of me like a treasured friend. They went out of their way to attend to my needs, answer my questions, and make things work. I was in the BWI to scuba dive, and it’s off season. There wasn’t any diving off the island, but they made sure I got to somewhere I could dive. They even identified fish. David, a manager, showed me where to snorkel off the island. I saw amazing life using his advice. It was almost as brilliant as scuba. The people at the reception desk, the restaurant staff, the bar staff, the housekeepers, all appeared to be in love with hospitality. They had grace, humor, and professional excellence I don’t see very often, and I travel a lot. People come to the island to hang at the bar, eat dinner, party, enjoy the property. And it’s a diverse crowd. Tourists, locals, racial variety. It’s not a precious place. It’s a swinging party of joy. And, if you’re staying there, it empties out at night, and it’s your private estate. Nine perfect rooms. That’s all. I walked around in my (Frette brand) bathroom at night looking for meteors. My feet felt the lawn, the sandy beach, the wooden decks, and the beautiful night embraced me. The resort just reopened after hurricane repairs, and I would go there asap. Every single detail is wonderful. Feel free to message me if you want to know more. Bravo, you little acre of heaven. You nailed it, Saba Rock.

We were not supposed to go there. I procrastinated booking our trip on another island and before I knew it the full week was not available and I had already purchased our plane tickets. I went ahead and booked 5 nights on the other island and began trying to figure out where to stay for the remaining 2 nights. The easiest thing to do would have been to stay on Tortola but I wasn’t really feeling that. I saw someone’s older post on Instagram showing the nearly finished Saba Rock Resort and that sold me. This place was completely rebuilt after hurricane Irma destroyed it. You can tell they spent a lot of money on the rebuild. It is solid and beautifully decorated with quality products. We were there for a day and a half, just the right amount of time for people like us who are not boaters. There are 7 rooms and 2 suites. We stayed in the beautiful spacious Starfish suite with a huge terrace. If you don’t want to stay there, go for a drink and/or to grab a bite to eat in their open-air restaurant/bar. There are even a couple of British phone booths (love!). It’s all about the experience. They have a boat that will come get you at Gun Creek on VG. It’s a 10-minute complimentary boat ride that runs every hour.

We always knew we wanted to come to Saba Rock after visiting in 2005. From the moment we arrived we were met with drinks, love and smiles. We are travelling with a 10 month old on our delayed honeymoon due to covid and we have been absolutely spoilt. The staff have been so generous with their time, their attention to detail and easily the best drinks in the BVIs. Our room was decorated to mark our honeymoon and we were made to feel part of the Saba Rock Family straight away. We cannot thank the team enough for our special holiday. If you have the opportunity, hold your event here, celebrate here and just enjoy the incredible views of Virgin Gorda. The food has been amazing, the rooms are very generous and the photos do not do it justice. Take time to hear the story of the island and spend time in embracing authentic carribean hospitality. All the best to Saba Rock for next season, keep doing what you are doing and we will see you very soon.
