We have on site the BVI's Number One fine dining restaurant offering pate de foie gras, escargots, fresh lobsters, succulent steaks, crispy belly pork, rack of lamb, risottos, scallops in champagne sauce and other mouth watering fare served in the dining room which has been restored from the Rum House of a 400 year old sugar mill. We also have a Mediterranean style beach restaurant called Tramonti [ Italian for sunsets ] right alongside the hotel. Our small secluded beach offers luxurious loungers and umbrellas with bar and snack service right at your bedside. Just returned from BVI and week stay at Sugar Mill; our second stay there. Cannot say enough positive about the facility, staff, dining and overall quality of experience. Warm welcome and highly attentive staff who seek to accommodate, no matter how large or small the request. Restaurant is 5-star and atmosphere is sophisticated but casual. There is nowhere you will feel more personally attended to. Fun day trips if you want. This property is beautiful! The lush foliage and beautiful views of the ocean makes this place special. The friendly staff and owners make you feel at home. The two restaurants offer great food and drinks. Everything you want in a boutique hotel. We will be back.

This is a first class boutique hotel. The managers Andrea and Rupert were very helpful from the moment we booked the stay. Andrea lined up a rental car for us and was very helpful throughout our stay. We had the opportunity to meet the owners Dennis and Mary. You can tell they really care about customer service and do everything to make sure your stay is wonderful. The food was really delicious, especially the short ribs! My massage was outstanding and would definitely recommend one! Nia took care of us on a daily basis and we loved how attentive she was throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.

Casual Elegance. Peaceful Privacy. Really nice people. They made are first trip to Tortola so memorable, we're planning our second. The owners, Dennis and Mary, were fascinating; the managers, Andrea and Rupert were beyond helpful and Chef Bernard cooked world class cuisine. Special thanks to the best servers Marilyn and Marjory for all of the special attention. If you haven't been to The Sugar Mill you haven't been to Tortola.

We had a wonderful stay at this small, sweet hotel. From the moment we arrived until we left, we were made to feel so welcome. The hotel had everything we needed and wanted: great service, good food, lively bar, beautiful views, and comfortable accommodations. (We stayed in one of the Plantation suites - highly recommend). The location is is very handy for exploring the rest of Tortola and other beautiful BVIs. But it’s also a peaceful place where you can do nothing in lovely surroundings.

My husband and I had a heavenly week at the Sugar Mill in December. Our room (143 in the Plantation House) was spacious, beautiful, and immaculate. We loved our location close to Tramonti and the ocean and would choose a room in the Plantation House again in a heartbeat. We chose the inclusive option for our week, & we’re very glad that we did. Our meals were, by & large, superb; the catamaran/snorkeling trip was SO fun, and the island tour - led by owner Dennis - was enlightening & thoroughly enjoyable. I cannot imagine a better week than we had at the Sugar Mill. We’re already talking about returning with friends & family!

Our first time staying here, and it feels like our home away from home. The grounds are beautiful. Staff give attention to every detail. I highly recommend the all-inclusive option. The food is gourmet, and the drinks are top shelf. Service is superb. Excursions are included, and attention is given to every detail. We cannot wait to return. This is our new favorite spot!

The Sugar Mill Hotel provided the total rest and relaxation we needed to close out a busy year. From the on-site ownership to each any every employee, the staff was there to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. We selected Signature Room 101 and the all inclusive stay. This allowed us to spend the entire stay pretty much doing nothing but soaking in the surroundings, eating beachside, and letting our cares drift away with the outgoing tides. A true gem in the BVI, Thank you Dennis, Mary, Rupert, Andrea, the wonderful staff, and other guests that became our family for the stay.

Really amazing host. Would highly recommend them. We were here for our honeymoon during Christmas time and they treated us real great. We had some changes to our plans and they were super accommodating and flexible. Highly recommend them.

5 of 5. The Sugar Mill is a top notch resort with amazing food and drinks. Owners Dennis and Mary are charming, fun and great to get to know. The managers Rupert and Andrea were also fantastic and keep everything running smoothly. All of the meals were absolutely fantastic. Spa treatments were great. The tours are a great experience too. One land tour of the island and one by catamaran to tour the surrounding islands and do some snorkeling.
