This place is just bliss and has the most extraordinary views my wife and I have ever had. You absolutely need a car here. Taxis are available but I would say are hugely expensive. The drive over to Soufrière from the north was spectacular but quite scary but sooooo worth it. The apartments are simple but perfect. They are spacious and clean and tidy but it’s the views that take your breath away. Looking out over the Pitons and down to Soufriere it actually made my wife and I feel quite emotional. Staff are attentive and knowledgable. There are a couple of fab restaurants within walking distance but you will need transport to get anywhere else. That said, there is a kitchen in the apartments and easy enough to cook if you want to. Soufriere itself is “ok” but nothing special. Sugar beach is the best beach we have been to on our 2 weeks trip. An excellent end to our Saint Lucia holiday.

I’m sitting on the balcony of our room at Samfi Gardens as I write this review. The pictures are taken from our room - Escape room #4. This small inn is poised up on a hill with the town of Soufriere below. The views are spectacular and look out towards the Pitons and ocean.

The property is well maintained and our room is spotless. It has a kitchenette that is very well stocked, small refrigerator had milk and bottled water provided upon our arrival. Tea and coffee was also stocked. Beach towels, large bath towels, soap, shampoo, ironing board, iron and hairdryer in room. Basically everything you need to feel at home and be comfortable is provided.

We rented our own car which is a must since the location is hillside, and isolated. It is a quick 10 min drive down the hill into town. In town we stocked up at the Massy Supermarket and ate breakfast on our balcony every morning.

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and Nala at reception was able to book a dinner reservation for us which was greatly appreciated since the establishment was not returning my emails.

The setting of this place is just so lovely, could stare at that view for days. You have to drive everywhere because it's a steep hill down to the town - taxis were quick to come but really expensive, so something to factor in to your budgeting. The kitchenette was well stocked so it was fun cooking and eating out on the patio looking at the view, there wasn't any food though including things like salt, pepper and oil so remember to bring that with you. There are lots of cats on the resort so that was cute. We slept wel overall but one day a random dog was barking quite loudly in the night but obviously that's not the hotels fault. Overall good value for money and a beautiful few days in soufriere.

After reading the reviews for Samfi we had high hopes for our stay here and we were certainly not disappointed. The views are amazing, the setting is beautiful, our little Lucian house was spotlessly clean with everthing we needed to cater for ourselves and Sue the manager and the rest of the staff were so helpful and friendly. Would thorougly recommend a stay here to enjoy all that this end of St Lucia has to offer.

Me and my boyfriend spent two weeks at this hotel and we absolutely fell in love with the place. Waking up to the breathtaking view was one of our favorite memories from this trip. The staff could not have been friendlier and they were always checking in with us, making sure we had everything we needed. Lovely room as well - great size, clean and cozy. This has been one of, if not the best hotel experience i have ever had. Would highy recommend!

The view of Soufriere and the Pitons was simply outstanding. Our room was well-equipped for simple home cooking and we used it as a base camp. Just a place to stay while exploring the island. There is a very small gift shop with some basic items and they have recently begun serving breakfast as an added option.

Great value and awesome views. Having a stocked kitchenette was very useful as the hotel does not have any food service. Room also had a comfortable bed, large shower, and a private balcony. Having a car was definitely useful.

This place is amazing!! It is clean, quiet and you willl have spectacular views. Brian is the security guard at night and he ensures that all guests will have a safe stay. You will need a car/or a driver. St Lucia is paradise with beautiful beaches (Anse Chastenet is a 10 min drive/Sugar Beach is 10 min drive), sulfar springs (mud bath is so great we went three times in our one week stay), piton waterfalls (warm waterfall), toraille waterfall (cold waterfall), Gros Piton hike (if us 51 year olds can do it so can you), Tet Paul hike (one hour easy hike with spectacular views), snorkeling, amazing restaurants (The Mango Tree is the best!) and kind, polite locals. The great thing about this hotel is that it is small enough that you will get to know fellow guests. Everyone seems to be there for the same reason...explore, relax, enjoy paradise. Guests were all quiet, respectful and very friendly. Pool area is quiet.

Best place I have ever stayed! If I had an opportunity to move here tomorrow I would in a heart beat. Stunning views, great rooms, lovely pool. Local town is pretty decent full of nice people (slightly rough around the edges) local bars are good, local attractions are great. Well worth a visit

Side note: book restaurants early or go hungry, worst case the bar on the beach does a late night bbq if you get stuck but this is small bar snack food)
Supermarkets close early

Wonderful location and staff are friendly, courteous, unobtrusive and helpful. The view is amazing, gardens are stunning, self catering facilities are of a high standard. Bed and pillows are very comfortable, and the bathroom is well equipped and everything is spotless. Access is via a potholed road and signage from the main road is limited.

Hi there, We'd normally suggest a jeep. Most guest usually go for the Suzuki Jimny. I hope this helps.
