Most incredible spot in Negril. All the staff is wonderful and attentive. Couldn’t be a kinder or more honest group of people. Small hotels beat out the large resorts 10,000x. Close to many great restaurants that are easy to get reservations at!

Hotel's Favorite
This hotel was PERFECT for my family of 4 (two adults and two kids, 14 and 11). We had our own 2-bedroom cabin with a kitchen and screened-in porch. What you should know is that the inn is pretty out of the way. It worked for us as we had rented a car. There are shuttles offered to the beach 3 times a day (10:00, 2:00, and 6:00). You can also arrange to be driven to pretty much any destination for a fee. (I have no more info on that because as I said, we had a car). The grounds of the hotel are just beautiful, with 2 small saltwater pools and one large chlorinated pool (which we didn’t use because the saltwater pools are right by the ocean and the scenery is incredible). It is not a party atmosphere at all, but you can choose to be social by sitting at the bar. There are 2 restaurants on site, both with excellent and very reasonably priced food! We especially enjoyed the breakfast! The staff all around the hotel was incredibly friendly. The owner stopped by our dinner table to introduce himself and check how things were going. (He also gave us a great recommendation to visit Mayfield Falls which ended up being the highlight of our trip!). The road to get to the inn is rough but worth it! I felt 100% secure on the grounds and they do have someone at the gate letting people and cars in and out 24/7.

I have been visiting The Westender Inn for many years as I grew up coming to Negril Jamaica since I was a baby. This truly is a hidden gem on the west end and has the most spectacular sunset views from the Salt water infinity pools. It's a small low key resort where you can get some much needed rest and the staff are all wonderful.

We are very seasoned travellers and have been to Negril over 20 times we wanted to experience a couple of places that we haven’t stayed in and The Westender Inn was one of them. Our decision was based on the reviews we read and the price. We stayed for 4 nights. Please do yourself a favour and research the hotel reviews, location ect. You are not booking “Sandals” and certainly not paying Sandals pricing. The Westender is located at the far end of the cliffs just past Ricks Cafe. The road is a little rough on the ride in. Our arrival was a little late and Steve the security guard was more than helpful getting us settled. We stayed in one of the rooms across from the road and it was huge. Big bedroom with adjoining washroom and a living room with a full kitchen, very comfortable. The main restaurant we ate breakfast in was located right beside our room.It was only a short walk over to the cliff waterside and the oceanfront pool and bar area. The location and property is very naturally beautiful. At times we felt we had the whole place to ourselves. No problem finding a comfortable palapa and chairs. The water is usually pretty rough due to the location, so swimming in the ocean is not always a option. It can also get quite windy, which at the same time is cooling from the heat. The property is all in all very charming, clean…but it is a little dated. Another great bonus was the free daily shuttle down to the Whistling Bird on 7 mile beach. A great location on one of the world’s nicest beaches. Our breakfast every morning was delicious, we even had the best fresh mango we have ever tasted from one of the mango trees on the property. We only ate one lunch, and a couple of dinners. The food quality was very good. Now for the reason we gave this place 5 stars. The staff! The owner Dan is very friendly and personable and Is a Negril veteran of over 40 years, he lives on site and is very involved in the day to day operations. All the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable and contributed to our great stay! A special shoutout to a few that stood out. Bunoleno Bennett, Sashona Tomlinson, AnnaKay Solman, Ricky and the Westender shuttle driver Tino. All in all, yes we would recommend this hotel and will return. It fit into our holiday plans and budget.

It is a really quiet place where you can chill because it is far for negril downtown, but it is easy to arrive there. The room was well equip but for having a third person it is not confortable. We think that it should have the room done more frequent. The recepcionist was incredible. He tould us about every enjoyment on the city. The bar in there was small but confortable. Alecia is a really nice and happy person. We really enjoy her company. Also the funny Lishawn. It was nice to have a movie night and a dj. We think they should start doing karoke nights The pool zone was amazing and both infinity pools where nice. Now they are doing some improments for the guest.

We were treated with respect and kindness and it showed that it wsa sencere. Note worthy: The owner (Dan) even gave me big hug to say bye and thaked us an dtolsd us many of the staff voiced there opinion to him that having us a guests was a pleasure. That is sticking to my soul for eternity and I respect that. Thank you from the bottom of our heart and soul for having us. The rooms have everything you need including AC and lets face it you are not living there you need somewhere to shower / sleep etc. The cleaning staff did a great job keeping everything on the up and up. Thank you! There is lots to do, there is s afree shuttle @ 1000 / 1400 / 1800 that takes you into the 7 mile strip area to party / shop etc WTF you like. If not pay a little $8 and go at other times. Therre is Barneys Humming bird farm / The light house / Ricks Cafe / 7 mile beach etc. and oin the same token it is secluded enough to keep it private and quite if you dont want to go anywhere and just relax and enjoy! They have on site security and the staff are pretty in tune with who is who and what is going on around there. Safety = No problem Mon. Jokes aside it is again quite and peacful. Enjoy. The food is amaiozng and Notty can cook up an amazing jerk menu with pork / chicken / chrimp and pleanty of other options on the menu. The Drinks well..... Not sure who makes better drinks Leshawn or Remona..... Guess you'll have to go there and enjoy it (If you have room in your luggage or a guide please let me know I can be hired.....)

The view is outstanding, the people are amazing and the overall experience was, once again, awesome. Not our first time here, and it definitely will not be our last! Oh! And don't miss the seaside grill!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Westender Inn at the conclusion of our round-the-country Jamaica trip. It's quite off the beaten path, which in some ways is incredible, but we did end up using the hotel shuttle each day to go to the white sands of Negril beach. I think next time I would stay closer to the beach but the service and value of Westender cannot be beat. Thank you for a lovely stay.
