This hotel had horrible customer service and did not accommodate to the needs of a group I was traveling with. There are two restaurants on site to which the hotel encourages people to go to. At both restaurants my group and I waited more that 3 hours for our food and the hotel general manager herself took no actions or responsibility to better the situation. In fact she passed the blame to the restaurant staff who also did not do anything to rectify the situation. For all the meals at these both restaurants during our stay I took the group order, bust the tables for my group, served out water to my group and more all due to the fact that the staff at hand would not service the table. We understandably were prepared to wait and work with the staff due to them being a smaller establishment but the service at this hotel and the restaurants there were horrible. It was an unfortunate experience as we as a group of black travelers during this pandemic really wanted support local black owned businesses but the experience left a horrible impression on all of us. On top of horrible customer service the rooms were not cleaned properly before we checked in, no hot water was in the showers and one of the travelers in my group even reported seeing blood and a human tooth in their bathroom floor when they 1st checked into their room. This hotel has a lot of work to do. I will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Arrived at night so my first impressions were not very favourable. After a good night's sleep,my score improved. Only faults for me, was the curtain could be a bit longer and the bathroom door needed to be sanded down so as to be able to close. The daily continental breakfast was more than adequate. There is also an option to have a British/American breakfast if you wanted. The position of the hotel is central to Downtown Ocho Rio's,within walking distance of the malls. A very good choice of hotel.

Spent one night here booked thru air bnb website so got a great deal. Place was easy to find on James street. Staff were very friendly and helpful which is not always the case we find in Jamaica. One nights stay including a fine all you can eat continental breakfast for the 2 of us ran in at less than £45, so who cares about the old fashioned furniture. The ac worked and the sea-view from the balcony was fantastic. Would stay here again no problem.
