The Farm at San Benito has garnered positive feedback for its service, with guests finding the staff to be friendly and accommodating, despite occasional reports of slow service. While the serene ambiance and live music contribute to a praised atmosphere, noise issues have detracted from the tranquility for some. Travelers appreciate the cleanliness and extensive amenities offered, including dining options and pools, yet there are calls for better maintenance and modernization.
Room experiences vary, with spaciousness noted, but also maintenance and cleanliness concerns. The value proposition, however, is a point of contention, with many guests finding the food and accommodations overpriced.

Detailed Reviews
We booked this wellness trip and it was close to what we expected it to be.
I'd just like to commend the restaurant staff both at Alive restaurant and Pesce restaurant. Because of their service and hospitality our anniversary trip was more memorable.
Special mention to Sir Borge, Jun and Noemi who served us both our anniversary dinner and breakfast meals. Sir Borge and his team went over and beyond our expectations and that we are very grateful.
Ms Gladys of Pesce was also very helpful during our anniversary dinner.
A bit disappointed with the room. We were booked at Palmera suites and the sheets were dirty with marks and the toilet was not squeaky clean. We had it changed but the sheets used to change it were also worn down (with lots of himulmol) and gave you a weird feeling on your body when you lie down. Nonetheless the staff were courteous in changing it but we never changed it the second time for environmental purposes.
It wasn't as polished as I expected it to be - some roofs were slowly dilapidating and some windows were detached (bathrooms in the reception, etc)
Most area I was disappointed at is the spa/massage. With the price that you pay almost 10k each - you'd expect the therapist to at least wash your feet / soak your feet prior to start for hygiene purposes but that wasn't done. Also I was shocked that they do not wash hands/alcohol hands prior to holding your face. I mean after using oil all over the body I think it's just right for sanitation purposes to sanitize first before proceeding to the face. These are simple ways even small spa centers do. I mean for the price that you pay, the service that you get is very inferior and substandard.
Despite some of the disappointments, the best part for me is the service of staff in the restaurant and the violinist, guitarist and soloist. They did superbly with service I couldn't ask for anything more.
Overall I'd rate the stay 4/5.

During our 3 days stay the top tier customer service given to us stayed consistent all throughout! Since this was our first time visiting the farm, we had limited knowledge about the place when it comes to activities and such, but the whole reception staff we’re hands on answering our questions. When it came to the restaurant, which is called Pesce, the manager and chef will always accommodate us and ask us what we need. The waiters and other staff were respectful and nice also. All in all the experience that we got during our stay made us want to become a regular to this place. We already talked about going here traditionally every year. The food, even if it looks intimidating at first (since it’s mostly vegan) is really good! The place, (since everyone has to take a covid rapid test) is safe and beautiful! The fact that you can take off your mask and enjoy the smell of fresh air totally worth the price for me. Thank you so much The Farm 💖 See you next year 🍃

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveler reviews.
There is no other place in the country that resembles The Farm. The scenic drive among lush trees on a narrow road suddenly takes you to a gated paradise, it has been described in so many ways but I personally find it as a place to disconnect and recharge.
We have been coming here for around 10 years and have seen how it has changed through the times. It had fairly modest roots, on our first ever stay the GM himself would take the front desk calls at night, now it’s pretty much on a full scale management. It’s the only place we’ve gone to several times on a semi regular basis. Usually just once or twice a year, lucky if we get a treat from someone in the family. It is, at any rate, considered expensive.
We have seen or tried most of the room categories and they really serve different purposes and have different feels. Narra’s the favorite by default because of the spacious, fun but relaxing villa with a heated pool that’s just a treat for any couple or small family. The larger villas are perfect for bigger families but can really get pricey. Sulu or Palmera are perfect for those who want to try the place out or for value. All their rooms are immersive in nature and provide different experiences. The new Mahogany ones are nice but the bedrooms aren’t as spacious (outside and living area is large though) and has slightly more hotel feel.
The food here is always a controversial topic. I personally learned to appreciate it after a few visits, they were my first real taste of legit vegetarian with mostly homegrown ingredients even before being a vegetarian was fashionable locally. The serving, price, quantity and quality for most dishes in Alive! are not bad at all for and efforts are made in preparation and plating. We’ve always looked forward to the next morning breakfast spread, though it can be inconsistent, as far as we’ve experienced. On another note, a little improvement in table sanitation between diners can be done. Pesce is a welcome alternative with seafood options cooked nicely though with higher price points.
All facilities are unique and services can be pricey. For normal folk, taking part of their daily activities, tea time, walking and discovering your way around the paths, exercise, and swimming are some usual activities outside your room. Children will have a blast in this place and even your pet dogs!
The staff had always been attentive to our needs and sometimes beyond that, I think they’re stretched even more now, I’ve observed more guests during the pandemic for locals compared to before that. People here like Romi and his team stand out in providing excellent experiences for their guests and one of our good reasons for coming back.
The Farm is simply a unique experience and can muster up different expectations. Enter and leave with your mind open for best results! Overall, to me this place is definitely among the best in the country.

We booked our stay in one of their posh Narra Pool Villas in 2019. But because of Covid it got pushed to January 2021.
I highly recommend staying at The Farm not only because they have world class facilities and wellness services but if you’re paranoid like me, they allow you to stay in a safe environment where masks are not needed since all guests are tested not to mention their staff. And that peace of mind is worth every peso I paid for.
You will have food choices limited to vegetarian and pescatarian dishes so carnivores like me better have their fill of choice meats before your stay.
We had the chance to try their spa services which are very pricey compared to other places but being our first massage in almost a year it was money well spent.
If you have the chance, stay in one of their villas with your private pool so you can appreciate the peace and quiet or simply have a space to bond in a relaxed and safe environment away from other people. And definitely stay more than 1 night.
But your stay need not be too expensive. They have common pools in near the spa, the pescatarian restaurant and the secret garden and taking a long walk in a great looking place is free but priceless as well.
All their staff are courteous and practice safety protocols even having been tested and housed on-site themselves. I especially commend Sir Richard Cuevas who drove us safely to The Farm and back home again.
One area of improvement is that their reservations team should do a better job in replying to all guest concerns. I understand that they might be short handed but replying to guests or potential clients is simply good customer service.
But all in all a stay at The Farm will do you good. Your body and mind will thank you for it.

You definitely do not get what you pay for.
Days before we were set to leave for our trip, we had some inquiries but the hotel would not answer any calls, reply to any emails, nor to any text messages. Fail customer service from the get-go.
The entire property is beautiful, relaxing, and huge, sure. We stayed at the palmera glass villa - beautiful too, however full of bugs! There were ants and a dead millipede on the bed, found a dead cockroach in the bathroom. There was even an incident at night when a flying cockroach entered the room before were about to sleep. I understand it's supposed to be a place of nature, but at that price you'd expect they'd ensure to avoid such gross things (for example, close and seal every possible entry way under the door, at the very LEAST).
While the food is supposed to be "healthy", at least give some more choices. The breakfast was very disappointing, trying to sound posh with 3 courses but it's just cereal, fruits, and an empanada. You'll get a better and fuller breakfast at a hotel a fourth of the price. I was even served coffee in a mug with lipstick still on it. Geez!
After we checked out, we were unceremoniously stopped by a guard, asking for our details, probably to ensure we weren't running off without paying. The cherry on top of the cake.
Save your money, do not come here. The celebrities' posting all about this place are simply PAID ADS. Instagrammable, yes, but that's about it.

The Farm, without a doubt is a great escape from the city into a greener surrounding. We found it relaxing however the rooms, food( especially indian) and service at the restaurants needs improvement on a lot of fronts. When you pay a bomb for your trip you expect higher standards. The rooms can be more spacious, the food can be served quicker and meals on the menu that clearly state " available throughout the day" must actually be exactly that . For a wellness resort the food was quite OK with less choices for non philippinos. The menu does boast of quite a few Indian food dishes but the portions are ridiculously tiny compared to both the bowls they are served in and the price at which they come . Regardless of how many stars a resort is the meal portions must match the price list , food at both Alive and Prana didnt live up to that hype . The activites are a bare minimum and adding a few more would be a great idea. The weekend ended on a good note and so must this review. The staff , each one of them deserves a pat on the back for being such kind , friendly souls . Not one person passes by without wishing you . The massage at the Farm needs a mention too. An experience of a lifetime it was , all credit to the therapists . The Farm has clearly found a way of maximizing and imparting the benefits of coconut oil to its guests . The body polish , oils and soaps are fabulous and buying them is value for money. A good refreshing stay at a resort that clearly comes with a price , slightly over priced at that !!

Antigen testing prior to entry. Since we arrived early and check-in is at 2PM, we had time to do a walk tour around and enjoy the landsacpe. A piano at the reception hall kept me busy catching up with my forgotten skill. Villa had a lounge area, a big bedroom with a king bed and 2 solo beds on the attic. Comfort room had a bath area on the rear side, toilet in the middle and a powder area at the entrance. The coco oil does moisturizes the skin. I'm totally surprised myself. They sell the same in their shop. My youngest dipped on the south pool surrounded by Pesce, their seafood resto which served exquisite seafood meals. We had grilled lobster on our first night. The pricey cost justified the preparation, flavor and presentation. So did other food we ordered, clam soup, salmon, etc. Breakfast at Alive is a new experience being strictly fruits and vegetable based dishes only, no meat. We tried activities as sound healing, mandala flower and restorative yoga. My wife and her friends enjoyed the water spa program at P7,500. They also have free wellness comsultation via blood analysis. The farm is pet friendly however with certain protocols. The lagoon beside the reception hall had ducks, geese, and peacocks wandering gracefully and sometimes interacting with humans. Staff are courteous. Facilities are clean. General vibe is relaxation. Hope to experience more on our return (if budget permits).

We recently stayed for 3days and 2nights at The Farm's Mahogany Pool Villa. We were greeted warmly by the staff and our butler Bernadette was very accommodating, we felt really special upon arriving at the property.
We originally booked the Narra Pool Villa but we were informed upon checking in that we were "upgraded" to a Mahogany Pool Villa, however upon arrival at the room it was bigger but we were placed just beside the ongoing construction so we can definitely hear all the noise and see the workers through our villa veranda which is pretty disappointing given that we were supposed to be "upgraded".
All the staff were nice and accommodating, always smiling and saying hi to us. The activites were also ok, we joined the Mandala Flower Arrangement which was fun and my niece was able to experience feeding the ducks.
Overall the place, the service and the room (except the ongoing construction beside us) was great but the food even though it was ok was overpriced for the amount of serving. We ordered fish fingers in the kids menu and was given a big plate with around 6 pcs of fish fingers and was charged the price of fish and chips for 700php + room service charge of 20%, which we were informed by one of the staff was supposed to be free of charge since we have a 2-year old with us. We called and the lady I talked to was very nice (Again kudos to the staff they were amazing) and they did adjust the price but said that the free room service charge was only for breakfast and that the prices in the menu are not really the updated prices?! I dont really know what was going on but we always end up being given a receipt that was faded you can't even see the breakdown and we were always charged a different amount from what's seen in their menu from the QR code. Even if we can afford to pay for it, I still don't think it was worth the price. We did enjoy their filipino style spaghetti and the arroz caldo served during breakfast.
Overall, the place is great but overrated.

My wife and I had the misfortune of staying at The Farm at San Benito on our 11th year wedding anniversary on March 2nd through March 4th, 2021, and experienced our most regrettable vacation ever.
2020 has been marred with world crises that threatened not only the economy but also the very core of human existence.
Wanting to put 2020 behind, and make our 11th year wedding anniversary special for my wife, I decided to splurge and booked a couple of nights at this “luxurious” resort as a little getaway, to take her to pamper, enjoy and relax from the stresses of the past year.
However, our stay was anything but luxurious. During our stay, we encountered numerous unsatisfactory service levels as well as alarming and unacceptable “living conditions” that I feel the public should be made aware of staying at this resort. I also hope something would be done about this so such incidents would never happen nor be experienced by another guest in this property.
First, we scheduled a pick up with the front desk for our 7:30am yoga. However, the golf cart never came or perhaps, have forgotten to pick us up.
Second, as the room assigned was too far from the dining places, requiring much walking, at one instance when we asked for help from an empty golf cart driver to bring us to one of the restaurants, he replied that we don’t have to ride the cart as it was just nearby. The restaurant was in fact about 100 meters away.
Third, on March 4th at 5:11am, we woke up to a loud noise made by a huge rat falling from the ceiling of our room! The rat even tried to climb to our bed which prompted us to cut our sleep short. We then went to TFSB to relax and try to celebrate but was not able to do so because of this incident.
Fourth, one of our friends who had a massage at the wellness center had booked us a ride going back to the room as it began drizzling. After minutes of waiting during which the ride never came, we decided to walk back to their room. Since it was already raining at this time, we were all soaked upon reaching the room which resulted to one of our friends being unwell the next morning.
Fifth, we spoke to the General Manager of the Resort as regards all the concerns above and although he apologized to us, he used all the excuses he could think of to down play all the incidents that happened during our stay.
This type of service is completely unacceptable at so many levels. It is not the kind of treatment I would have expected from a five star hotel resort of your caliber. I am extremely disappointed from this bitter experience and lack of hospitality. We are paying customers and paid for a “five star” and yet, were accorded otherwise and we were treated very poorly.
It is very sad that what should be very basic, and that is treating another human being right was absent. So is the lack of empathy. Two words that should be remembered. Be kind. It’s very basic, it doesn’t cost a lot and yet, can make a world of difference.

This is a unique resort located in a beautiful landscape consisting of villas of various sizes surrounded by a great vegetation with lakes, ponds, swimming pools, animals like peacocks, ducks, geese, swans. The calm during the day as well as during the night is so relaxing, especially when living in a big city like we do. The food was originally vegan, but now includes a fish restaurant "Pesce". The breakfast buffet is included in the room rate. I would have expected more variety of fruits, like mangoes, dragon fruits etc. Various services are offered, such as yoga, sound healing and massage and medical services, the latter being charged extra.
All the staff offers a most friendly service and is very helpful. The resort was built and conceived by a German in 2002 and a great deal of praise should be given to him. We were looking for a photo or painting or even a statue of the founder, but in vain. At least this would be a sign of respect for this fantastic work. The whole resort including the forest is illuminated at night and no electric cable can be seen anywhere.
Definitely a great place to go back to!
