We checked in very late with a toddler but to our surprise, we were startled by a loud buzz by their staff at 7am for them to serve breakfast. 😭 Please train your staff to respect the time. Not everyone appreciates a wake up call because we didn't request for it!

Just a short walk from SM, this quaint unassuming hotel is a lifesaver for travelers on a short visit in Lipa City. They offer rooms for a whole day or half day stay. We saw 2 different rooms with varied ambiance but on a whole they were sufficient for our half day stay as we only needed a place to spend the night since we had to leave early in the morning for Taal Town after visiting Carmel Church. That's one factor that made us choose this hotel even if it is by the main highway. No. 1: Location is excellent. The bus stop is also 1 ride away. The rooms were big enough for 2 people, A/c and hot-n-cold showers work very well, it was also clean and well-maintained. They also have wifi out on the lobby and visitor's area as well as ensuite TV. They also provide towels and toiletries. So far, Hotel in Mang Jose has also been kind to the budget- a huge plus!

Not bad, considering they're a brand new entrant into the hospitality field. Management has no previous experience running a rooming establishment and yet, the basics are all in place. I personally, would have built the facility a lot differently. For example, the rooms all face the main drag.. and main drag it is. So there's a lot of traffic noise which does not make for a restful quiet sleep..

Then, the small commercial shops which the owner rented out-- like the bar/night club which have live shows and drinking till wee hours of the morning is located at the rear of the property. Result.? Traffic noise in the front of your room and in the back, youre treated to karaoke all night long.. all night.... all night long... all night....

Coffee shop is superb, located in the front so walk ins can see it and come right on in... Thats where the bar should have been located too.. In front, to compete with traffic.

The rooms could have been located on the rear and would have been a quiet(er) place to sleep but the night club patrons singing it up could maybe disturb the rear if not quartered properly... as it is though.. too, too bad. Its a bit of a mistake and hard to rectify.

Everything else though is ok.. Location is truly superb! Walk In galore for sure. But will the walk ins return after a hard days sleepless karaoke night? That remains to be seen. For myself, I prefer a quiet slumber. I will and already have, come back to the excellent coffee and have scheduled many of my business meetings at their Cafe.

The place is located in the middle of the highway. parking is limited. Repairs are in the works so expect sleepless nights when you check in here because of the smell and the noise from the repairs. Front desk was very unprofessional and the room needs to be modernized.
Will not stay here again

stayed here march 2015 for 2 nights.

the moment we got in, the receptionist didn't even say hi or anything...totally indifferent. We were given room 3. I HAD to request for a towel, and toiletries. They seem to be so lazy in preparing the room and cleaning too!! (i'm very particular with cleanliness). their wifi isn't working (but they claim to have wifi)

the toilet flush would require quite an effort to use...they do not replace it. the light is busted in the shower area. the ceiling in the shower looks like it will fall down any time soon.

when we checked out, the receptionist didn't even stand up (lying down in the sofa for guests) and just let a guy take our room key and the guy said we're ok to go. So i asked "we don't have to pay anymore?" at which point the receptionist stood up and took our payment.. if i'm not honest, we would just have ran off.. our room is worth 1,800/night.

i am so not recommending this place to anyone of you (especially if you've experienced excellent service from other hotels)

I stay here at hotel ni Mang Jose whenever I needed to visit one of our offices in Lipa, the location of the hotel is convenient it is near SM Lipa and the Grand Terminal, the hotel is under renovation at the first time I checked in and I must say that they improved when it comes to the rooms, it is spacious and has Wi-Fi connection. If you are going to Lipa for a business trip this is surely a friendly hotel for you

Because of its convenient location (along the main highway) and quirky room designs Hotel Ni Mang Jose is always a go to for us when staying in Lipa.

The rooms are located on the third and fourth floors of the building, providing the guests with peace and quiet during their stay.

The first and second floors house a bar and restaurant which is open or 24 hours. While the hotel provides for free breakfast through a coupon that you present upon claiming, the restaurant doesn't actually allow you to charge additional food to your room, which can kind of be an inconvenience - especially if you left your cash in your room.

The rooms each feature an individual theme, ranging from modern filipino to hard rock cafe. Room sizes also vary depending on their location. The bigger rooms are those facing the highway, while the ones facing their parking lot are significantly smaller.

When we went to Lipa to attend a wedding, I found this place online along with the other hotels. It's affordable, the gym is small but alright. If you're tight on budget, or a backpacker, this is the place. The gym instructor is nice as well. They have a cute boxing ring. I tried the spa downstairs, it's beside the gym, I love how they massaged me. From the looks of it outside, it doesn't look like a hotel, but inside, it's nice. The lobby, and the hallways is Filipino-themed. By the way, it's a boutique hotel. Every room is different. I love our room, it has a loft. Bed is soft. Wifi is free. Some staff are accommodating, and friendly. We tried Culture, the food is fantastic. They serve international beers too. Quite different for a place in Lipa. I will definitely come back here again when I am in Lipa. They offer services like a ride going to the airport, which is easy for us. You just have to tell them earlier.

My family and I checked in, in this cute hotel near SM City Lipa after a relative's wedding. Our room was nice and comfortable too except for the bathroom (which I find quite dim and small). Staff were also friendly and accommodating.

The hotel was fine. For a 2-star hotel you guys expected so much.

It fits the hotels description as 2-star and it is near to all sights where you can visit in Lipa city and it's very near sm Lipa as well so heading back to Manila is easy. Staff are friendly and very accommodating.

We were able to Casa Segunda, Lipa grill and resto, Mt. carmel Church and San Sebastian Church in just one jeep ride each and it's one tricycle away from the local market.

Parking is adequate if you're going to bring car.
