Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.

Our room wasn't cleaned when we checked in : bed sheets with stains and bathroom towels with blood on them. The staff did not do anything to help and was so rude when we told them about it. They did not even offer us to change room or at least clean the room we had. They weren't

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and we regret that your stay was not up to your expectations. Cleanliness is the main focus of our hotels and we would like to apologize as your experience was not in line with our standards. We already addressed the linen issue with our laundry and housekeeping suppliers to ensure that our linen is checked individually and is free of any stain. We also spent time with our staff to dispense the appropriate training to assist our guests better. Once again, we thank you for choosing Red planet Hotel Asakusa and we hope you will give us another chance to serve you better. Thank you Red Planet Asakusa Tokyo

The hotel made my first visit to Japan comfortable. The staff were very friendly and courteous. A home away from home. I can't really compare much with other hotels in Japan since it's my first. Very nice comfortable stay.

The room are sufficient size but the bathrooms are extremely small I would say that the toilet, sink, and shower cants be more than 20sq ft . I am 6’3” and managed just fine for eight days.

No, it’s impossible, the rooms are small, it can only fit 2 people. We were 6 also, and we had 3 rooms. The place is clean and nice though, you will enjoy your stay.

If I remember right, there is although we never used it so can't comment. The best thing I found to do was email them directly with any questions and they were very good at responding :)
