Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku is frequently celebrated for its prime location near Shinjuku Station and local attractions. While some guests find the rooms on the smaller side, the consensus is that they are clean, efficient, and equipped with necessary amenities. The service at this hotel garners positive comments for being helpful, although experiences can vary. The atmosphere is welcoming, with the caveat of some dated furnishings. Cleanliness is a strong suit, with well-maintained facilities and commendable housekeeping. Amenities like the on-site laundry are appreciated, albeit there are remarks about occasional limited availability. Overall, guests recognize the good value the hotel provides, especially when taking advantage of club discounts, despite some concerns over room size and amenity costs.

Stayed here May 2018 with my boyfriend on our first trip to Japan. We stayed 3 nights at the start and 3 nights at the end of our trip and both times were fantastic.

This hotel is extremely well placed for Shinjuku JR station (South exit) don’t underestimate the size of those train stations! Like nothing I’ve ever experienced; getting lost is part of the adventure I guess!

We arrived around 6pm after a very long flight from Paris and found Tokyo being hammered with torrential rain. Not to be put off we ventured out to get food and look around the area. Very helpful doormen were handing out umbrellas for use which was very welcome. Next day there was no indication there had ever been heavy rain.

I used the laundry facilities (washers and driers) towards the end of our stay and these were well priced and easy to use.

Friendly and helpful staff at this hotel. The rooms came with everything one needs and were very clean. As with
Most Japanese hotels they are not overly spacious but this is not a problem.

Definitely will stay here again on our return.

Sunroute plaza Shinjuku is one of the hotel that you can reach easily from Narita airport using limousine bus. The bus will stop exactly in front of the hotel. This hotel has a great location as it has lot of resto near by. Walk 3 min you ll fond mac Donald’s and some japanese restaurant. Its also close to one of the biggest station in Tokyo....Shinjuku station it’s approximately 5 min walk. Lots of mall and shop also that you can find by walking. The room is small tough you can choose the room you want. The smallest room is 15m2 and the bed in this room smaller then queen bed but the price to stay in such location is affordable. The staff very nice and helps a lot. So it can be one of your choice to stay in Tokyo

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights on my honeymoon and our first time to Tokyo. The location is fantastic for anyone who has not been to Tokyo before, it’s close to all major attractions and right next store to the subway station which can get you to all areas of Tokyo. The room we booked was very small but it had all the amenities we needed, it was clean and cosy. The room was perfect for us as we had a full itinerary for our stay so we only used the room for sleeping. The staff were very welcoming and had excellent English. I actually left behind a personal item when we checked out and they responded to my email straight away confirming they would leave it at the front desk for me to pick up. We didn’t eat here at the hotel but if you are looking for a reasonably priced room, close to local attractions and amenities then I would definitely recommend this hotel. I would stay here again.

We arrived in the late afternoon and had not have lunch. So we asked if we can just leave our luggage and go out for lunch before checking in. They were very nice and promptly took our luggage. I went to the counter and verified my name to ensure that I have a booking with them. We were off the lunch after and came back at like 9pm to do the check in. Very nice staff and accommodating.

We booked a Deluxe King room and the room size is decent given Tokyo standard. It has a low bed so if you have a bad back or knee, maybe it is not such a good idea. Flooring is made of tatami so you cant walk in with shoes. I like the Japanese infused style though. Room is clean. Do note that there is no safe in the room.

We did not use the other facilities so we do not know what is in the hotel. Especially since it is so near the shops and train stations, we were out most of the time. Easy walk to the shops. There is a overhead bridge near the hotel. It will lead directly to Takashimaya.

Lots of food options around the area. Train station is walking distance.

I stayed here after arriving in
Tokyo from Zürich (CH) and wasn’t expecting much, given that it was a spontaneous 14-day trip and i had only booked the room a few days in advance based on it being the first suggestion on booking.com, but i was pleasantly surprised how much i liked it. The location is PERFECT and my room, though it was rather small, seemed to have soundproof walls. I have never slept so well after a long flight. I didn’t hear anyone or anything! I initially stayed here for 3 nights, but I liked it so much, i booked the same hotel for the last day of my trip as well.
I usually don’t go for large hotels with hundreds of rooms, but this one seems to be the exception.

I have just come back after a 4 nights in Tokyo and stayed in this lovely hotel

Highly recommended as it is near Shinjuku station, just to warn you, Shinjuku is not a big station............It's a GIGANTIC station and you can easily get lost. always head towards the south concourse for this hotel

We caught the Narita express 4000 yen open return, my advice to you is look on you tube on how to get to this hotel and have internet and google translate else if you hardly speak Japanese you will struggle +.

As for hotel , we were in room 826 and at first i was disappointed as i was opposite the lift and coin laundry but I could not hear any noise ever.

Coin laundry is 600 yen for 3KG wash and dry, you collect amenities downstairs now

I chose this hotel over Citadines central and I am glad i did as i felt unsafe there as many touts and maids.

Shinjuku station has all the lines you need to go to do all the tourist stuff :)

Hotel staffs were nice.

Good location in Shinjuku and direct airport limousine bus to hotel n airport. Jr lines are just 5 mins walk max. Able to walk to Takashimaya and malls in Shinjuku

Booked the standard room for 6 days. Room is abit small. Fits 1 pax perfectly. If you are booking as a couple, suggest to book a bigger room.

Hotel can be more flexible on late check out. Wanted to have a check out at 12pm and just an hour more than the normal check out time. But was advised for a fee and was quoted 5000+yen just for an hour check out. Was advised that this is the only rate closest to my check out timing as the 5000+yen is for a check out at 3pm.

Asked if there could be a discount instead as I’m only checking out at 12pm. Unfortunately no. Doubt the hotel is fully booked too. As there seem to be not much guests.

Had stayed here on two occasions during my trip.

For both stays, went for the smallest room type available. Both well facilitated and tidy.
Room supplies/toiletries and plenty of umbrellas were provided in the reception area.

There are coin laundromats across several floors, and a hotel laundry service at reception. The latter charges on types + nos. articles for washing. They need to be presented by 10 am and available to collect after 7pm. Well worth its price, all were neatly folded and separated. On a cost perspective, laundromat is the best option especially for families, otherwise go for laundry service.

On March 16th, had an issue where an item was missing from my room. Your colleague Mr. Shibaya went above and beyond addressing the issue, though tried his very best to find it, it was there in my small bag's compartment all along ;D. Please thank him for this.

Breakfast buffet was nice and well serviced - runs from 6:30am until late morning (think 10am), with wide selections of fruits, salads and Japanese produce to choose from.

A superb location conveniently located 5-10 min walk from Shinjuku station, will definitely stay here next time.

We stayed here for 2 nights in an economy double room. The hotel location was excellent, just a few mins walk from the Shinjuku station and the Expressway bus station. There are also many shops and restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel is a airport limousine bus stop, but do note that if you are coming to the hotel in the morning before 11, the limousine bus doesn't stop here, but a few mins down the road at the Shinjuku station stop.

The economy double room was itself was very small (a tight squeeze for 2 persons), so i would recommend going for the standard double room if you have more than 1 person in your party.

Stay here for the excellent transport connections.

The location is great. It’s a very short walk to Shinjuku station. The rooms were typical Tokyo size - is cramped but manageable. Quiet rooms too. The price does not include breakfast making it a expensive but this may be typical for central Shinjuku. The breakfast buffet was around 2000 yen before tax and was quite good. As earlier TA reviews suggested the hotel does not allow early check in, I booked the previous night as we were arriving in Haneda at 5am in the morning. This worked well as we could have a nap in the morning before venturing out sightseeing. But it cost an extra night’s stay. The location was really the only reason we stayed here. I’m not sure I’d do it again given the cost.
