The Hilton Tokyo, often praised for its elegant and welcoming atmosphere, is adorned with live music and plush furnishings, providing a luxurious experience. While the spacious rooms receive compliments, opinions on their decor and amenities vary. Guests commend the cleanliness and the array of amenities, including an executive lounge and diverse dining options.
The hotel's location is appreciated for its convenience to transport and a shuttle service, despite being a distance from immediate attractions. Service is generally well-regarded, but some guests report inconsistency. However, the value proposition is criticized, with some feeling the cost does not match the experience.

Hotel's Favorite
Hilton Tokyo Shinjuku, this is our second trip to this cosy hotel. This trip in Jan 2024 was with the whole family of four.
Plenty of people to thank and compliment.
We met Jayde at the Marble Lounge for breakfast. He gave us good briefing of Japan's Culture and Places of Interest.
I did not know that Japan celebrates the Year of the Dragon wef 01 Jan 2024.
Japan celebrates the New Year from 01 to 03 Jan 2024.
The mashed sweet potatoes with sweet chestnut and the bean's dish behind it at the buffet table were special dishes prepared to celebrate their New Year from 01 to 03 Jan 2024.
Dynasty Restaurant at Level 2 is another place we must visit. Mr Shingo Arai and his team, Harune and others, gave us a Warm Welcome during their cold Winter.
Food were delicious and reasonably priced.
They also have special dishes and Special Set Meals during their New Year Celebrations from 01 to 03 Jan 2024.
Concierge
We were met by Alan (from USA) to handle the Check-in for us.
Very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly like many of their staff.
The concierge who greeted us upon arrival to the delivery of luggage to our room was very courteous and helpful.
The group of Concierge who helped us on checking out of hotel, bringing the luggage downstairs and loaded them into our transport to airport were very helpful and friendly.
Executive Lounge
The staff there were very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly.
This trip, I happened to have more interaction with Miss Jessy (a French lady) and Nirisha as they were on duty during my visit to the Executive Lounge.
All the staff were well trained and friendly. You can just speak to any staff on duty during your visit.
Housekeeping
Met Mr Kasai Yukuse who provided us with the pillows we requested.
Same quality, very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly.
Airport Transfers
Last but not least, even the Airport Transfers arranged by Hilton Hotel provided very good services.
There was a female staff waiting for us at Haneda Airport Arrival Hall.
It was so convenient to transfer from airport to Hilton Tokyo Shinjuku with their arranged transport and Help.
The lady who met us at the Airport was very professional, courteous, friendly and helpful.
She even helped us by taking over the trolley of luggage from my daughter and pushed along to the pick up point.
Thereafter, smooth ride to Hilton Tokyo Shinjuku.
Plenty of people to thank and compliment.

My partner and I stayed at the Hilton Tokyo for three nights at the end of a trip around Japan, and overall, I think the best aspect of the hotel is the location. Otherwise, it is a standard Hilton that is huge and busy.
I wanted to stay in Shinjuku to see that part of the city more. The hotel is connected underground to three metro stations on two different lines, which was very handy to get around parts of the city. Almost anywhere is convenient to Shinjuku station. I would recommend this hotel purely because of the location!
The hotel is 38 floors, so there are a lot of people staying here. Most of the rooms are just standard, since this is a big box hotel. We got an upgraded king room, which wasn’t anything special for the price, but you’re in downtown Tokyo. The room had more storage space for luggage than I originally assumed, because underneath the closets was a lot of room for storage. I appreciated that design element.
The bathroom was rather small. The bath and shower area was quite large, but I could barely even open the shower door and sit out. A larger person would have more difficulty even using the shower that way.
The concierge was very professional and helpful with securing dinner reservations at restaurants for me. Having a good concierge is key in Tokyo because of the language barrier at the restaurants as well as the time difference.
This hotel is very crowded. We had access to the executive lounge for breakfast and for the free cocktails in the evening, but it is rather difficult to take advantage of those benefits because of how crowded the lounge is. In all the Hiltons I have stayed in, this one had the biggest issue with space. And that is not to say that it is a small lounge, I guess just so many people have status with Hilton who stay here, I showed up at 5:55 for a 6pm happy hour and there was already a line and the lounge was full. On a different day when I showed up at 6:15, there was a wait for a table. All I saw were people streaming out of the lounge carrying three or four beers a person. Kind of random.
Overall, the hotel is good for location and service, otherwise it’s just a standard Hilton with nothing remarkable about it.

Our August, 2019 stay at the Hilton Toyko was excellent. Starting with check-in at the Exec. Lounge, where we were upgraded to a fabulous, spacious suite. This was enormously appreciated, as this visit was part of a month long trip throughout Asia, SE Asia and AU. The room was amazing, with a very comfortable bed and plenty of room for yoga practice in our room, which is always a bonus for me.
For breakfast, the Exec. Lounge was so busy and unpleasant that we chose to enjoy the lobby restaurant buffet. Here the crowds were even larger, but the staff cheerfully welcomed us each morning & proptly ushered us to seats. The food selection was just unreal. I've never experienced such a bustling breakfast buffet, but it worked as the staff kept replenishing items and clearing tables.
The gym was also super busy, even early in the morning, but again, the staff made all the difference. Cheerful, helpful and efficient, they kept up with the towel supply and managed to maintain a clean, enjoyable workout room. The cardio machines were in good condition as well as the weights and weight machines.
The location worked well for my husband and his business events, and I was able to explore the area (which was very safe and well lit) by foot. Shinjuku Chou Park is a short walk from the hotel, and offers a peaceful, gorgeous green oasis in the middle of the city.
We love Japan, and especially Tokyo and look forward to a return visit.

The hotel is in a business district and right near the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (don’t miss the observation deck). Also, do not miss a stroll through the lovely small park nearby, the Shinjuku Chuo Park. The hotel has a free shuttle service to Shinjuku station which is a big plus but if you are used to walking, you can practically walk from the hotel to all the tourist spots of Shinjuku (ie Kabukicho, Piss Alley, Golden Gai, Shinjuku Gyoen). There are many restaurants with great views right inside the gargantuan buildings nearby (Nomura, Sumitomo, Hyatt etc.) which are worth a try but at business expense prices. The hotel lobby is always crowded and the rooms are clean and spacious but certain areas need updates. The elevators can be slow because it is a big hotel with many occupants competing for elevator space. But overall, a great stay in a great location at a somewhat reasonable price (nothing comes cheap in Tokyo). I have no major complains.

This was our second stay here, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time.
The room was fairly spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
The hotel is in a great location about 10 mins walk from Shinjuku, but there is a minor train station which can be accessed from a tunnel under the hotel. There was also a shuttle bus to Shinjuku from the hotel.
There is a beautiful park almost opposite the hotel which is lovely for early morning walks. It always feels safe to walk around the area, even late at night, as there are so many people around.
We could have breakfast at the executive level dining room, (which was usually quite uncrowded with wonderful views, including Mt Fuji) or the main dining room which was very busy but with a larger choice of food. We enjoyed both options. And of course the Executive Lounge was available for snacks and drinks at other times.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and Ernesto gave us some good advice.
The only negative was a design feature of the room where there was only a glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom (right up against the bed). Part of it had a blind but the other half was frosted glass so when anyone used the bathroom during the night it lit up the whole bedroom.
But we would not hesitate to stay there again next time we are in Tokyo.

We were there for our 38th wedding anniversary and they made it really special for us with some little special touches.
We paid extra to be upgraded. The first Junior Suite room we were allocated smelt strongly like cigarette smoke and we asked to be moved, they moved us to a much lower floor, this was disappointing. We thought this was a non smoking hotel and one of the reasons we booked it (serious lung disease).
The Junisoh restaurant was such a bitter disappointment. Expensive food and extremely small dishes, tasteless food and poor service, we were left alone while other patrons received exemplary service (we assumed they were locals), we would have ordered more drinks but nobody came to our table and we had to actually hail a wait staff to ask for water who then seemed very put out that we hailed them! We went for our anniversary dinner and it ruined the night.
Other than this, the hotel was really lovely and we would stay again, just not visit the hotel restaurants or pay for an upgrade before inspecting the room, save the money-there are a lot of really great places to eat in Shinjuku.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. Not a lot of hotels in Tokyo offers a King Bed and if they do, they're usually very expensive.
I like the free shuttle service to Shinjuku Station, but most importantly it's nice that we can walk to a train station thru a tunnel connected to the hotel.
Would stay here again if I go back to Tokyo.

We booked 2 rooms in the property for 5 days. My partner has Diamond status which gives us access to upgraded rooms and the Executive lounge. The hotel was full so the upgraded room was not available however the staff was profusely apologetic and offered us several other little amenities to compensate. Unlike most lounges where the offerings are sparse and repetitive, the offerings at this Hilton were creative and generous. The room were comfortable and cleaned efficiently. As far as the location goes, it as centrally located as it gets literally sitting on top of a train station. Despite its size, the staff managed to provide a sense of intimacy and personal service

The location, amenities and staff are excellent! We stayed at the executive lounge and used the swimming pool, spa, fitness center, lounge access daily and so far it was great! The Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant was great but make sure you resave your teppanyaki table in advance! We accessed the lounge bar as well and it was good with a pianist. They also give you umbrellas if you need it during your stay. Everything is walking distance from this hotel and the view of the city was to die for from the executive lounge floor!!! :)

I have stayed at hotels all over the US and Europe, this property is either the best or second best I've stayed at. The bad the restaurants are pricey but the bar prices are about what you pay in Las Vegas for lesser quality whiskey. The good the staff goes over the top to make you feel welcome. From the moment when we entered after a long day when the staff got our bags to the departure where the staff made a mistake and apologized proffussly, the staff is an example of how you should treat customers. Being Hilton gold we did get an upgrade to an executive room. Something not expeced but appreciated. The breakfast while a buffet was excellent and tasty. The lounge could get crowded mainly because of the cheapskates grazing on the free food. The shuttle to the Shinkuku station helps save the legs. On a clear day you can see Mount Fuji from the executive lounge, we had one partly clear day. I would not hestitate to stay here again I highly recommend this to hotel to anyone. You will hear sirens at the night, but no other noise. For those tightwads there are excellent restaurants downstairs in hiltontopia. The Italian is good and the Indian is very good with prices comparable to the states. Remember you don't tip.

Hello, yes if the tattoo is cover you can enjoy all pool facilities at the hotel, but it must be cover,
Is there a charge for the swimming pool? Also, is it a convenient location for a family? Many thanks
The swimming pool was free but it was awful...freezing cold and no atmosphere. The thermal areas were 'Japenese Style' nude!
Hope this helps
The location is convenient for first timers with a toddler with many options for transportation. Additionally, the subway stop "Nishi-Shinjuku" is a 2 minute walk from Hilton Tokyo via an underground path. There is an escalator near the main floor Marble Lounge where the breakfast buffet is served. There is no signage by the escalator to indicate this walk path can lead to the subway stop. Take the escalator down to an underground path where there are shops. If you see two walk belts, you are heading the right direction. The two walking belts were closed due to energy savings during our stay. Nishi Shinjuku stop is one subway stop from Shinjuku stop.
No but a bus route stops at the hotel
