Detailed Reviews
Exceptional value for money. Spotlessly clean hotel with a nice sized room by tokyo standards. Room had a lot of extras ideal for a trip from overseas.
Room was cleaned every day even though i missed the cleaning time and still returned to the room cleaned. If you opt to not have your bed clothes cleaned on a certain day they leave a complementary bottle of water.
Stayed in a single room. Perfect size. A bath is a nice touch after a long day walking. TV has no English channels though.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Parking is also available at 2k yen over night.
Slept soundly every night. Couldn't hear any room noise even though the hotel is off a major road. 24hr McDonalds across the road if your badly stuck for western food. many 7/11s within a short walk. 5 min walk to shinjuku station.
Would stay again for sure.

This is not a fancy hotel, but a normal business hotel. However, its amazing value for money, the rooms offer everything you need, and the location couldnt be more perfect. We paid around 60 USD per night and room, which is absolutely amazing, especially considering the great location.
The Nishi-Shinjuku subway station with the very convenient Marounachi line is just over the road, and Shinjuku JR station is about 10 minutes (walking) away. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops in very easy walking distance. For me, this is the perfect place to stay at in Tokyo. I have been here 3 times, and I will certainly be back.

The hotel is ideally situated for access to Tokyo's subway and railway network. If you opt for the Japanese breakfast there was plenty to eat although the breakfast room could do with a make over, the staff were most welcoming making a lack of Japanese language no problem. Our double room was compact in line with other hotels in Tokyo but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom adequate . Coin operated Washing and drying machines were readily accessible and welcome with temperatures around 29 degrees and 85+% humidity during our September visit. Nishi Shinjuku station is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel and we found it much easier to take the Marunouchi line from there to Shinjuku station (180 yen and 3 minute ride) and then using google maps to explore Tokyo using public transport with the Suica card which is so convenient and can be used all over Japan not just Tokyo. The hotel was quiet with no noisy guests disturbing your sleep. The automated checking in and out system was easy and staff are on hand to help if needed. On our departure due to our flight times we had to leave the hotel at 05:45. Staff were on duty (we just had to call them with the desk bell) and despite the early time were prompt in responding, efficiently facilitating our check out.

+1
We stayed here for 3 nights & wished we’d been somewhere else. The room appeared clean but there were toenail clippings in the carpet and large ants in the room. Rooms are only cleaned on alternate days but when we raised the issue reception said the room would be cleaned that day. The room was cleaned but only superficially and the toenail clippings remained. After complaining again and a long wait at reception we moved rooms. The staff apologised but there was no compensation for our discomfort or inconvenience. We were on a breakfast included rate but declined the breakfast after the first morning. It was the worst breakfast buffet of the hotels we stayed at in Japan by a considerable margin. There was little choice and if all looked like it had been sat around for some time. The crockery was not as clean as it should have been and the open layout allowed a view of the kitchen which looked less than hygienic.
Key cards were not required to use the lift meaning that anyone could access the floors- very unusual nowadays.
I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me. The worst hotel we used during our trip.

I stayed for 3 nights in the standard room. The room is typical for Japan – small size but very efficient use of space. I stayed by myself and had enough space. The room was clean and quiet. It was the 6th floor, if I remember correctly.
It was an easy 10-15 min walk to Shinjuku train station, with or without luggage. I didn’t interact much with the front desk (only on check in, the checkout is self-service), everyone looked and behaved very attentively and friendly (a typical Japan hospitality at its finest).
My rate included breakfast, which was served at the café on the main floor. You have a choice of pastry (croissant), a breakfast sandwich and a beverage (coffee). Of course it was not a breakfast buffet but it was good enough for me to start a day. It tasted good and fresh, no complaints.
The reason for rating the hotel as average is Wi-Fi. It didn’t work in my room. It wasn’t like it was slow, I could not get any signal at all. I had to go down to the reception floor to use Wi-Fi. It wasn’t my first trip to Japan and I was very surprised to find that something is not working properly. I think this is unacceptable in this day and age. Therefore 3 stars rating.

I stayed in a single room at this hotel and found it to be excellent. While typically small, it was very well planned out with everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. Our floor had a room with vending machines and a microwave oven. It would be handy to heat up food from the nearby 7/11 and Lawsons. We had western style breakfasts down the road at Jonathan’s which was good. We had dinner in the yakitori restaurant under the hotel which was delicious. The location was great and I would definitely stay here again.

First the positives:
The location is good. Although just a short ten minute walk from the craziness around Shinjuku station and Kabukicho, the area surrounding the hotel was dead quiet at night.
At a first glance the bed looked promising, having a foam pillow top mattress on top of the usual box spring mattress.
The negatives:
Having stayed in more than a dozen hotels in Japan, this has without a doubt the most uncomfortable bed. And that in a country not exactly renowned for comfortable beds. The bed is hard as a rock. It doesn't even feel like there's a box spring mattress, but more like you're sleeping directly on wooden bed slats.
The bathroom reeked of sewage. It's as if the plumbing had a faulty trap allowing sewage air to seep out. It probably didn't help that the ventilation in the bathroom was completely clogged up with dust. How on earth housekeeping and hotel maintenance couldn't catch this issue speaks volumes about this hotel.
The windows don't have blackout curtains. Instead you slide some wooden shutters in front of the windows. Of course the shutters are too small, allowing for light to leak through.
Parting words:
I had made a reservation for eight nights, but already on the first night I made reservations at another hotel in Shinjuku Gyoemmae. Unfortunately there were no rooms available immediately, so I had to stay at Nishitetsu Inn for two nights. I don't think I was able to sleep even for a minute.
When checking out six nights prematurely no one at the front desk seemed interested in why I chose to leave so early. But then again, my reservation was non-refundable (as they pointed out to me), so they already had my money. Why would they care? But at that point I regarded it as a sunk cost, I just wanted to get out of there and go to a proper hotel.
I can't understand the good reviews for this place. It has the quality of a poor hostel with a fancy front desk.

I stayed here for two nights on the last weekend of July, but then a typhoon hit where I live, and flights were canceled and I couldn't get home. I ended up staying longer than expected, and since the room rate is countable, I asked the front desk about payment and the fee, but they wouldn't do me any favors. I've stayed here many times and am a member, so it's pointless... There was a feeling that I wasn't trusted. I was worried about not being able to get home, and it broke my heart even more.
It was a favorite hotel of mine because it's in a good location and easy to access. It's such a shame.

I left something behind, so I contacted the hotel on the same day, but they insisted that it hadn't arrived, even though it should have been in my room. They didn't even say they'd look into it, and seemed to have no interest in what happened after I checked out.
It seems they'd disposed of it, but if they had, they should have been honest and said so. Of course, there are problems with disposing of it.
The only good thing about this hotel is that there was a cafe downstairs, and there are plenty of other hotels in Shinjuku, so I've decided to stay at a different hotel next time.

Used for the night before a bus tour. Convenience stores are nearby, and it's also close to Nishi-Shinjuku subway station. It was a twin room, but it was fairly spacious and had an air purifier, which was a good thing. Unfortunately, when you open the closet, it hits the door closer. There are a lot of hangers, a lot of outlets, and you can use USB, which is convenient. Best of all, there was no difference in level between the bathroom and the room. The bed was comfortable, but the two types of pillows were connected, making it difficult to adjust the height. The table was quite large and there were two sofas, so it was convenient for eating. If you have a lot of luggage, you may have trouble finding a place to store it. I checked out around 6:30 in the morning, but there was no one at the front desk. I think I'll come back if I have a chance to stay cheaply.

In my room there was a single bed, not king size but comfortable for two people
Hi. As for the OMOIDE YOKOCHO or Yakitorii Alley by the train station, these are great alleys full of life to find the small places to eat. Many are the grilled meats that you ask for by the stick. Tasty and fresh for sure, some speak English some not, so pointing is ok. They can show you price on calculator. Not truly cheap eats as you might want quite a few sticks if you are hungry and we were charged 230 Y for just sitting down, but we had fun tried a few things off the grill had a beer and soaked up the place.
