Detailed Reviews
The location of this hotel is very good as its very close to the centre of Shinjuku and walkable distance to a few stations but on a quieter road so its not so noisy.
Most staff seem friendly and spoke good English however one particular staff member who checked us in was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
There are two types of rooms that we had. The first was the normal room. This was adequate with a decent sized bathroom, clean and good humidifier and air con units. However given the opportunity, I would definitely consider getting the more deluxe room as this had a much better space in terms of size and layout and a better bathroom. The deluxe rooms I believe are from floor 8 upwards.
Be aware if you stay more than 2 nights they will not clean your room every day. You can request additional toiletries, towels from reception. All the toiletries you need are at reception and you are supposed to take as much as you need.
The bar downstairs mostly seemed close whenever we saw it however there was always drinking water left out which was free to use.
For the right price this hotel is not a bad option considering the location.

Having stayed before at the branch in Sapporo , I was looking forward to this stay at the Kabukicho but the stay left me with a tad disappointed on one of their policy.
The hotel is located close to the crowded and loud Kabukicho area which depending on how you look at it, the place though is loud is never out of choices for food and is convenient to walk around. The hotel however is not easy to locate because it doesn’t have a prominent sign outside the hotel. The hotel however does come with its own small parking which is a welcome relief for a place like Tokyo, daily rate for parking is very reasonable.
Check in was efficient as they have multi-lingual staff and soon we are in our rooms. I asked to be upgraded by paying the price difference and the room is spacious and very comfortable , well worth the price top up.
Everything was well at the hotel til I realized I misplaced my card key and was told to pay a penalty for 1000
Yen to get a new card something which is very rare and unbelievable in such technology age given it is just a coded card ! Though the staff was nice to say in case I found my old car they can refund me but I have upgraded to one of their top tier room hence this penalty left a very bad feeling in me.
For the price you pay for breakfast , it is decent and good for a start to the day.

+1
La Gent hotel located in the heart of kabukicho shinjuku wherein all the night life happens, tons of shopping area , bars and restaurants and also plenty of western cuisine if you feel like wanted to change your mood for western cuisine..
La Gent hotel staff are friendly thanks to SHOTA from the reception area made us feel welcome and with a friendly attitude, and trying his best as he can to help us with our concerns in directions 🗺️ , and suggest’s best authentic food and a walking distance tourists destinations ..
ROOM- is pretty compact with 3-4 luggage is a struggle to open, lucky enough we have only 2 luggage which is okay ..it’s clean and tidy the room, the cleaning is every other day , all the amenities can get in the reception,
Laundry area in the 2F which is great advantage for all travelers..
Reasonably priced in the heart of shinjuku

We have been traveling around Japan for three weeks, and unfortunately, this hotel was the most disappointing accommodation we encountered. The rooms were not only small but also had a strong, unpleasant odor. Upon raising this issue with management, we were moved to another room, which regrettably had the same problem. Additionally, despite booking a twin room for my nearly adult children, we were given a double bed for them to share.
I contacted Expedia at midnight to address this issue, but they only offered to move us again without any fee reduction or compensation for the inconvenience. The rooms had visible mold, and the carpets appeared to have never been cleaned. This was particularly disheartening given that we paid nearly $800 for one night’s stay for both rooms and were unable to sleep due to the unpleasant smell.
While the location is central, it is marred by dirty, littered streets with rats and crows scavenging the rubbish left outside.

Nice hotel with great location. Just 10 miles m from JR station. Very clean and nice decorated. The room on the smaller side but other than that, it’s a good hotel. The great thing is staff very accommodating and wow even I had a room on level 2 could Bradley hear the noise on the busy street
Had the breakfast not too many choices not all well done .

the hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and polite. The room we stayed in was a tad small but still big enough to move around in. The location was great with a 7/11 just down the road. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to our friends and family that plan on travelling to Japan in the future 😁

The hotel is near multiple rail stations including JR about 10 mins away.
The staff were helpful and friendly when we checked in.
Like other rooms in Japan it was small. It had so many plugs for all your electronics which was nice. Beds were quiet firm, but I prefer that :)
Getting to the hotel at night resulted in going through some crowds, but near the hotel it quieted down. Slept very well even on floor 2!
I’d stay here again!

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. The room is small, but enough to sleep and have a good shower. Good breakfast. The highlight is the promptness of reception service. The location is good, close to JR Shinjuku station, many restaurants nearby and good shops.

We caught the train (Airporter or Skylining I think it was called) to Shinjuku station and walked for about 5-10 minutes. Careful however that if there is anything looking like a typhoon around that closes the rail, Narita is almost impossible to get to. We found that out the hard way.
Basically I'm still trying to figure out where to catch the bus at the airport. But you need the one that goes to shinjuku expressway bus stop. And from there you can catch a cab to the hotel. Cheaper that way than by taxi from airport directly to the hotel
I’d be surprised if you found anywhere dangerous in Tokyo. Great location, we heard nothing. The Hotel is brand new and very comfortable. The rooms, by Tokyo standard, are very large with everything you’d need.
I think this would depend on which twin room you booked into - best to ask the hotel for this request.
