REMM Roppongi, which is a rebranding of an existing hotel, is conveniently located in the Roppongi district of Tokyo. Just a short walk from the Hibiya Metro Station, the hotel is only a minute walk from the famous Roppongi crossing and across from the Tokyo Midtown shopping area. My rating is comparing this property to others of its type. In this case, local budget-type hotels. Here, REMM excels. While the room size is similar to others in the category (e.g. very small), the layout is good here, and features a large window which makes the room very bright. The room is very clean and has all the accessories you would expect, as well as some you don't, like a massage chair. The bathroom, while again small, offers plenty of water pressure and toiletries as needed. Being in Roppongi, you have no shortage of places to eat and drink although I believe there is a small coffee shop on the street level of the hotel. (This is a hotel to sleep at...nothing else) I am in Tokyo often, and often in the Roppongi area. If you are seeking a value priced hotel, I eagerly would recommend REMM Roppongi.…
Pro: - we booked the twin rooms with 2 beds. And the room is still spacious enough for 2 big luggage to be open. - massage chair is not bad after a full day of walking. - bed is good and I think the pillow is tempur - bathroom is great! Too bad there is no view from our room if other directions most likely you can see the tower tower. - location wise is great! Just 1-2 mins walk from Roppongi station - lots of eateries there. - you can walk to Ritz Carlton to catch the airport limo to Narita Cons: - there is no coffee! Only tea is available and you need to get it yourself at the reception area - no microwave or spoon/fork available. So if you want to buy some food back you will need to prepare your own. Mini hiccups: The latch from our ceiling came off and nearly hit our head. That is a bit dangerous. When we call the front desk they say they will come up within 10mins. But when we came back in the evening it was not fixed yet. Not sure is it because it’s new year day though. But luckily for us. No one is hurt and after I make a trip down to the front desk immediately a manager came up with me to fix it on the sport. Overall we have a lovely stay in Remm.…
Umpteen stay in this hotel and the rooms still look well maintained. Convenient location near Ropponggi Station and many bars and eateries. Hotel is right at the main bustling street on Ropponggi so you can hail a taxi right outside the hotel. Room is relatively spacious by Tokyo standard. You can fit 2 persons if you don't have much luggage. Massage chair is easy to use and effective. Hot water is fast and plentiful. No safe in the room though. Fast check in and out service. Only downside is the pillows are too thin and soft. Perhaps it's standard in Japan but it gives me a hangover.
If you need to stay in Roppongi and are not claustrophobic, then the Remm is a good choice. Situated directly at Roppongi crossing just steps from the Hibiya and Oedo lines, it's a recently constructed hotel that is still in perfect condition inside. Rooms are tiny - even smaller than at most other business hotels in Tokyo. There is not even space to place a carry-on bag, perhaps because they've put a child-size massage chair into the one free corner. But rooms are well thought through - with plenty of amenities and sophisticated lighting. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are clean and airy, and the walk-in shower has a good water pressure. Many of the rooms of the high floors have very nice views of Tokyo tower. Prices at this hotel can fluctuate considerably. When prices are high, other business hotels such as those of the Mitsui chain usually offer somewhat bigger rooms at similar rates.…
The best thing about the Remm Roppongi is its location. Its very close to MRT stations (2 minutes walk), have a starbucks and several restaurants around it and most important if you are looking for party, there are a lot bars and clubs within a 5 minute walk. The room is a typical japanese hotel room, very small but has everything you need, including a nice (but also small) bathroom. The room has a massage chair, what I don´t really understand as I had even problems to find a place for my luggage. So my recommendation to the hotel would be to remove the chair and let the guest use the additional space. Staff is friendly, english skills are.... okay for Japan and the breakfast is also typical Japanese, so unluckily not my taste at all. All together I can highly recommend the hotel, as the location is just perfect (you reach nearly every interesting part of Tokyo within 20 minutes) and the room is good.…
