Detailed Reviews
If you want to experience traditional Japanese hospitality, Okura is the place, a full serviced hotels with professional hospitality staff.
The rooms may look a bit dated, but the room itself is very functional, with updated electronics such as TV, hair dryer, iron and kettle. The room was supplied with generous amenities, things that you would never have imagined such as a small kit of facial cleansing products and foundation, hair band and even bath fragrance.
I love the small details in the room, such as the jewelery box on the table, and the bins with recycling separation.
The staff at Okura are generally very helpful and quick to respond. All of our requests were fulfilled within 5 minutes.
We had a little incident, where we used the hair dryer outside the bathroom, which jumped the fuse and turned off the power supply in the room. Your staff immediately recognised the issue without us making speculations on the cause. This happened past midnight, however front-desk staff responded and came to the room within 5 minutes. While it took a while to reset the power and wifi, the staff reminded us in a kind way that the hair dryer needs to be used in the bathroom only.
I love the surrounding environment of this hotel, a close walk to the nearby rivers within the hustle and bustle of Nakasu-kawabata - easy access to restaurants and cafes. I also enjoyed the Okura Patisserie, lunch buffet at Camelia (the sweets are great) the lounge bar and the brewery.
Stayed on the 11th floor, I think room numbers ending with odd numbers provide a view of the river.

I stayed here when I went back home for the New Year.
The room itself is old, as it has been open for over 20 years, but it is well-cleaned and the customer service is polite and reliable, befitting a hotel that is one of the top three in Japan.
The breakfast buffet had a variety of specialties, including the classic French toast, Hakata omelette, tonkotsu ramen, sesame mackerel, mizutaki, and mentaiko.
It is located right next to Nakasu-Kawabata subway station, so it is easy to get to Tenjin and Hakata stations.
The price is not cheap, as you would expect from a first-class hotel, but it is a recommended hotel if you want to spend some quality time.

After three consecutive stays at ryokans, we were all glad to be staying our final two nights at a 5-star hotel in the center of Fukuoka. Our room, #1723, was perfect for our needs -- comfortable beds, deluxe PJs, and lots of counterspace and closets.
The enormous lobby is staffed by competent staff although one who handles reservations was very cool. Fortunately for me, there's a Family Mart next door where I buy the early morning coffees for little money, 180 yen each for medium size. There is no onsen in the hotel, but the room's deep tub, brimming with hot water, is almost as relaxing.
The breakfast experience was fabulous with egg station, noodle station, and both Western and Japanese dishes.
This place is a shopper's mecca. I bought shirts at Uniglo, a paper lantern in the nearby arcade, and a 40 min foot massage next door to the lantern shop.
For all the benefits and amenities, this hotel is awesome!

We made a reservation at the time and entered the restaurant "Camellia" on the first floor at 5pm for dinner and sat down. Since we couldn't eat much, we ordered from the a la carte menu, and the waiter explained that it would take some time to serve the menu as it would also be open for dinner buffet. The waiter went back to get the menu. But!! The next person who came was what seemed to be the manager... "It's a dinner buffet, so we can't order the a la carte menu, no way, no way!" he said in an unkind tone, and my wife and I left... I just want to say one thing.
Please put up a sign at the entrance of the restaurant stating "Open for dinner buffet only."

This time it was used for business and sightseeing. Nearby areas (station front, Kawabata, Nakashu, Tenjin, Ohori, Nagahama, etc.) are almost within walking distance, and access to nearby areas (Karatsu, Dazaifu, Moji, etc.) is not impaired. The location, which is directly connected to the station by subway from the airport, is especially appreciated when there are suitcases in bad weather. The room (Superior Twin) is spacious enough for consecutive nights, although it has deteriorated over time (but please add drawers for shirts and underwear in the closet). Especially, the night view on Hakata Port side and the bed where you can get a good sleep were impressive. "The state of the public space and the response of the staff are ""Okura quality""." The cost was reasonable enough compared to foreign companies, and it was a comfortable hotel with a high cost.

I went out to eat in the city of Hakata in the early morning and evening, and when I asked about the location and time on the hotel map, I received detailed instructions and was able to arrive at the restaurant without getting lost.
When I checked out, even though it was early in the morning, they guided me to the subway exit and I was able to safely return home by Shinkansen. Thank you very much.
I was satisfied to be able to enjoy the Okura life for the first time in a while.
Next time, I would like to stay here to enjoy the nightlife.

+1
The room is pretty big by Japanese standard. It may be abit dated but the amenities and cleanliness are fantastic.
The lobby is traditional and cosy. The seats are placed in such a way that guests don’t really face each other directly. It is so peaceful that we had to really talk softly 😂
The location is away from the crowd at Tenjin and Hakata but food and shopping are only 8 mins walk behind the hotel. Plenty of cafes that serves good coffee.
Staff are reserved( some may perceived it as rude) but that is the Japanese culture. They are very helpful especially the concierge and housekeeping team. Tempted to tip them but I can’t because Japanese culture do not encourage it.

Before checking in, I had stomach pain, so the concierge introduced me to the nearby Mori Clinic, which gave me peace of mind. Also, since it was March 11th, I enjoyed the lobby concert by the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra. The abundance of facilities and amenities in the guest room is what you'd expect from the Okura. In particular, the mattress of the France Bed Fine Quality Bed in the guest room was so comfortable that it left me in awe. For breakfast, I had the Yamazato Japanese set meal at Camellia, and the care put into each small dish was very apparent, and it was delicious. Also, the pleasant greetings from the staff in the lobby gave me the right amount of tension and kindness, which made me feel glad that I stayed at the Okura.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, as it's located right in front of the Anpanman Museum.
As expected, it was a great location for taking a toddler who can be difficult to care for, regardless of the weather. It was also close to the Nakasu Kawabata arcade for meals, and all access from the Nakasu Kawabata subway station was via an underground passage, so it was very convenient not to need an umbrella.
As for the hotel, as many reviews have said, all the staff, including the concierge, bellboy and front desk, were friendly and very helpful. They also did their best to fulfill all of our requests.

Come to an adult place but have no connections? I recommend Xizi for dating girls in Tokyo, Japan. Japanese girls provide a full range of S services. You don’t need to know Japanese. You can make reservations in Chinese. Good news for foreigners TG:cc383 and Line:03828. The first choice for business trips and travel.
