I stayed at Richmond Hotel again this time, as I had a good experience staying at a hotel of this group when I visited Sendai two years ago.
As I am a smoker, I appreciate being able to choose a room where smoking is allowed.
I was surprised that the smoking room did not smell at all, probably because of the air purifier installed. Of course it was clean. I was on the third floor, but the noise from outside did not bother me.
I made a reservation through their website, but perhaps the timing was good on the day I stayed, as they upgraded my room. I was able to use the double room for studying alone, and it was a luxurious memory.
The shower in the bathroom had hot water immediately and was at the right temperature, which was very appreciated during the cold season.
Breakfast was a Japanese and Western buffet, and it was delicious with local dishes such as mentaiko, barley miso soup, sesame sea bream, and chicken rice. The egg dishes such as omelets were cooked on the spot. I was surprised that the fresh grapefruit juice was made from grapefruit. Please see the photo. You can take your coffee to your room, so you can drink it at your leisure.
There was a convenience store and an entrance to the underground mall near the hotel, so it was a convenient location. If I go to Fukuoka, I would like to use it again.

Although the location is a little far from the center of Tenjin, you can get anywhere without any problems. There is a parking lot, so it is ideal for sightseeing by car. There is also good access to public transportation, including Nishitetsu buses, Nishitetsu trains, and the Fukuoka Municipal Subway. There are food stalls nearby, so you won't have any trouble finding a meal late at night.
As for the room, it is quiet, so you can relax. There are also plenty of amenities.
There are convenience stores and drugstores nearby, so it is easy to buy what you need.

My daughter stayed here for two nights while traveling from Kansai to Fukuoka to take an exam. I'll write my impressions on her behalf.
"It's fine for one person!" I was still worried, so I chose this hotel, which has a high rating online. It's not cheap, but it's worth the safety. I applied early and used the "multiple nights plan" and was able to stay at a discounted price.
The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and on the last day, she was able to check her suitcase (which was too big to take to the exam venue) without any problems. She enjoyed the morning buffet as well as dinner on both nights at the hotel (I told her that if she wasn't comfortable, she could buy food at a convenience store and eat it in the room, but she liked the dinner on the first night so much that she stayed there again on the second day).
Thanks to you, she seemed to have a good feeling about her exam. Even if she fails, I think it will be a good memory of her youth, along with the lively streets of Tenjin and the wonderful hotel life.
Since April, I've been dreaming of my daughter enjoying life in Fukuoka, thinking "That's the hotel I remember" every time she passes by.
Thank you for all the help you have given me.

I stayed for two nights.
I made two requests and I am grateful that they were answered so quickly.
The first was when I checked in. I had already made a reservation for my next stay, but the only room type available was "smoking," so I asked to change it to "non-smoking." They checked the availability on the spot and changed it for me.
The second was when I was leaving early in the morning on the second day and had to return to my room at 11:00 a.m. for some business, so I asked them to clean my room by then, and they accommodated that request, even though it was a regular cleaning time.
I felt that this kind of response on the ground leads to peace of mind and trust.
It was a learning experience for me, and I am full of gratitude.
I will try not to be too selfish, but I hope to continue to work with you in the future!

I made the reservation for the middle day of a three-day weekend, but because I made the reservation early, I was able to stay at a low price.
It was easily accessible from the station, and the front desk staff had lovely smiles, so I was able to stay comfortably.
I will use it again.

I always stay at this hotel when I'm in Fukuoka.
The Richmond on Tenjin Nishidori is also wonderful, but this one has a larger lobby and a more homey, open feel. The breakfast venue is also spacious and the buffet menu is well thought out, which I really like. The Richmond Hotel has a calming room design, and the beds, as well as the type and quality of the furniture in the room, and their placement, all of which are designed with the guest in mind. The hotel staff are also very polite and prompt, and (especially this hotel) have a warm and considerate attitude towards their guests. I think this hotel is superior in all respects to hotels in the same price range.
However, one thing that bothered me a little this time was that the staff cleaning the rooms did not greet the guests cheerfully. I think they probably use an outsourced company, but this affects the hotel's image, so I hope they will improve in the future.

The family of three stayed in a twin room (with three beds) and it was spacious enough to stay comfortably. You can also get to Tenjin subway station and underground shopping mall in a few minutes on foot, which is a great location. As is the case with other Richmond hotels, the staff is also excellent.
P.S. - The coffee provided is very good.

Richmond Hotel, which I am always indebted to.
Thank you again for your kind attention.
Despite being in the Tenjin area, I was able to spend time comfortably in a quiet place.
There is a convenience store across the road, but it felt a little far away to go.
The parking lot is mechanical, so you don't have to worry about problems while parking.

The location is quiet yet peaceful, and it's very convenient to get there. The room is clean and tidy, the cleaning staff does a good job, and the hotel lobby is relatively large and very comfortable.
Only when I arrived at the hotel at 18:00 to check in at night, the attitude of the male and female staff at the front desk was a bit bad, which made me feel bad and oppressive. Please improve.
The front desk staff at other times were polite and made people feel good.
Overall, I might consider staying here again next time.

nice place to visit every where in Fukuoka because the hotel locates near the biggest two subway station.
All staffs of hotel are sincerely kind and their abilities are enough to solve any problem of guest.
breakfast includes two kinds of type, wester style and traditionally Japanese style with too much delicious taste.
Of course I will re visit this wonderful place when I need to visit Fukuoka, again.

sorry can't assist. we arrived and departed by train. I noticed there was another Richmond hotel in this city very close to the train station. Taxis in Japan are relatively (compared to australia) inexpensive. the buses are too - a fixed fare regardless of where you get on or get off - we only ever had to pay 120yen (=A$1.50)
