Mercure Nagoya Cypress is conveniently located in the city center, just a short walk from Nagoya railway station (bullet train). The hotel features 115 confortable rooms, 2 restaurants, a bar and conference facilities for up to 100 delegates. The Nagoya Congress Centre, Citizens Auditorium and Nagoya Dome are also nearby.
Traveled to Nagoya several times during 2018 , stayed at Cypress. Very friendly staff and response is great . Accommodation is old style ,needs upgrade. Overall experience is good. Not a big fan of breakfast spread but its OK.

We recently spent the weekend in Nagoya and chose the Mercure Nagoya Cypress due to its close proximity to the city and Nagoya Train Station/Shinkansen is 400 meters walk. The hotel is super clean and the staff are friendly, helpful and professional. We stayed in a deluxe room with twin beds- perfect size for my husband and I and our 3-year-old daughter. Our room had a nice view of the surrounding area, tea and coffee facilities, free unlimited internet and lovely L'Occitane bath products! Guests get a free welcome drink voucher to use during their stay which was a nice touch. We couldn't decide on where to go for dinner on our second night, the staff helped with recommendations and even calling around restaurants to find a last minute booking for a Saturday night. The staff…

We spent 6 nights on holiday visiting the Nagoya area. Location is ideal because it’s a five minute walk to the station and it’s also close to a myriad of good restaurants around. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms have a decent size and are quiet and well furnished although a bit outdated. Breakfast is good with choice of western and Japanese which you can mix. On the negative side is the absence of a decent bar and lobby. And the restaurant which we haven’t tried seems basic. The Accor group needs to invest a bit of money to revamp the hotel.

Was supposed to stay here for 3 days. Got my company to change it to a different hotel. As soon as you enter the hotel you sense the time travel back to late 80s and early 90s. (If you are into that kind of a stuff, its fine) The lobby smelled moldy; furniture outdated. They have an actual key that you use to enter your room; highly inconvenient. Room I stayed in was really small and lacked basic amenities like coffee machine. There is as also an issue with their internet service. Could connect to the wife but couldn't connect to the internet. When I called front desk, their response was "try later. Everyone is using it now" I will never come back to this dump

The location is good, very closed from rail load station, shopping mall, many restaurants. Staffs were very kind, good conversation. But some facility is so old. They have old type heavy steel key, written room number and hotel name, so I had to be careful for security. And they don’t have smoking place, I had to go to family mart for smoking.😲

Mercury Nagoya Cypress is facing a main road but it is not bothering once setting a foot in the room. The room was big enough and clean. Breakfast buffet was good however it is not refreshing if staying longer than 2 days as they provide the same foods. Only the issue was I could not use internet on TV. Overall it’s a good hotel not far from Nagoya Station with lively neighbourhood coming from the station for more reasonable prices compared to major hotels at the station.

Very spacious and clean, through a bit old style. Staff are sincere to customers. Conveniently located near Nagoya station, walking distance of around 7 minutes. You can simply get WHAT you need easily. Value for money. Highly recommended for family travel.

We stayed for 2 nights in February and it was a nice location to venture out from. Lots of nearby shopping and restaurants. We had a room on the upper floors- room was fairly spacious considering some other rooms we stayed in at other places. Being higher up there was no road noise and floor was quiet. Our room was clean and everything was in working order. We didn't see any other guests but we also did not make use of any of its facilities due to having an all day activity in Gifu. Desk staff was polite and spoke English. The room rates were reasonable for our stay and the close proximity to Nagoya Station worked well for us since we had a couple suitcases (winter stuff and omiyage) to travel with. It would be a good base to venture out from to other nearby areas of interest…

Rooms are larger than usual for 3star hotels in Japan. Everything was functional yet the place caught some dust and the interiors are not the latest state of art. Its 3min walk from the station and a good location for a stop over.
