#1 of 10 B&Bs / Inns in Baclayon
Rich in tradition, culture, history and a myriad of natural wonders, the province of Bohol has become one of the Philippines’ top vacation destinations. The picturesque town of Baclayon (located just 10 minutes away from Bohol’s capital Tagbilaran City) is home to many attractions, like: Baclayon Church which was built by the Jesuits in 1727 and is made entirely of coral stones and plastered with a mixture of egg white and limestone. The Baclayon Museum located within the church grounds houses a relic of St. Ignatius de Loyola, antique gold thread embroidered ecclesiastical vestments, an image of the Blessed Virgin said to be presented by Queen Catherine of Aragon and many other related artifacts. Nearby is a monument of bronze statues of Spanish conquistador Miguel Lopez de Legaspi and Datu (King) Sikatuna sculpted by no less than National Artist Napoleon Abueva. It depicts the famous “blood compact” and is at the actual site. The island of Bohol has world famous attractions like the breathtaking Chocolate Hills and the endangered tarsiers (one of the worlds smallest primates). There is also the amazing Hinagdanan Cave, the stunning Laoay & Loboc rivers, the white sand beaches with crystal clear waters, majestic forests and so much more. For the more adventurous tourist there is whale and dolphin watching, bungee jumping and zip lines. However, Bohol’s real gem is its people who are regarded as one of the most hospitable in this part of the country. Bol-anon’s (natives of Bohol) also have cuisines & delicacies that are truly unique and a “must try”. They value what Mother Nature has blessed them with and they are very protective of it. The air is fresh, and communing with nature comes naturally. These are some of the many reasons that inspired Astoria Hotels and Resorts to establish yet another fascinating resort – Astoria Bohol.

Dear CK737, Thank you for your kind message. It is unfortunate that you were not able to book a stay at Astoria Bohol as it is for our members only. We believe that you would have an equally wonderful time visiting our other resorts! We would love to welcome you to Astoria Boracay or Astoria Current, both located in Boracay island, for a sun-drenched beach getaway. If you have young children, perhaps Astoria Palawan is the resort for you as we have our sandbar adventure and our Palawan Waterpark ready for you and your family to enjoy. We hope to see you in our Astoria properties soon! With our best, The Astoria Bohol Management

We came for 4 days starting on New Year’s eve. First off, the views of the water and beach are breathtaking. Grounds are well maintained and manicured. Second, the staff is very accommodating and friendly. They even gave all the kids in our groups blinking New Year’s hats and noise makers to celebrate. Very close to the new Panglao airport. Food at the restaurant was delicious, and a few nights they even had a live singer, which was a nice touch. If you have time to wait, I recommend getting their bibingka. (You should place your order before dinner so you will get it in time for dessert). Wifi is a bit slow but the manager said that is something they are looking into fixing soon. Part of our group stayed at the villa for part of the stay. They said it was fantastic as well. (With fast internet) Overall, highly recommend.

We stayed there last December 23rd to 26th, I was upset on their amenities, it was lacking and some of it were broken, some staff were rude, wifi sucks, couldn't even provide floor rags in CR.. there was thisnstaff that kept on picking on my kids because they were playing around the chairs in the pool, i understand that because its for the safekeeping of their properties, but what I dont understand is there was this kid playing and running on the edge of the pool and she didnt went out of her way to tell them that its dangerous to run on the edge of the pool, i confronted her and asked her that is this your policy to protect their properties and disregard the safety of their clients, they said "di na nila concern yun" wow! Considering that we are not walk in clients, we are AVLCI members.. I have written a report and testimonial about this, i just hope actions will be taken about this matter..

We hope to be able to welcome you back to witness the improvements that we are making and in order to show ourselves in a better light in the future. Sincerely, The Astoria Bohol Management

We’ve stayed in at least 3 Astoria Hotels so far but Astoria Bohol surpasses all three in terms of idyllic ambiance. When one needs to unwind from the hustle of stressful work demands, staying at Astoria Bohol is a refreshing experience. The room and balcony are so spacious, you feel you own the entire villa. Amenities are also just enough for a quiet evening or two. The only mishap was the water supply in the shower and tub. Perhaps because we were booked on the 2nd floor, we had to call the lobby to request for housekeeping to increase the water pressure. Other than that, it was a memorable stay. Astoria never disappoints.

Myself, an OFW in Dubai, my wife, a pediatrician from Bontoc, Mountain Province, my mother-in-law, an administrator in the government sector, my sister-in-law, who is a student in Baguio City and lastly, my seven year old daughter. All of us from different generations and sectors had a great time indeed. Astoria Bohol staff are friendly, accomodating and willing to help if needed. Pamana cafe is impressive with a small resort - it can serve a first class service. The food is great and the price is manageable. I think the most selling point of this resort is not the pool nor the beach but it's the peace and tranquility the resort offers, in fact, mama did finish reading a whole book in our staycation here. Furthermore, the easy access outside the resort was great as well; we enjoyed Bohol tours wherein the chocolate hills was majestic as always. My daughter was ecstatic with the ATVs and everybody enjoyed the floating restaurant. We would definitely come back again and we'll be looking forward to more improvements of the resort.
