From reception to the room cleaning service, exceptional service, beyond our expectation. I travelled with three (always-hungry) teens. The hotel's great location meant that we had (too) numerous inexpensive and delicious food choices around the corner! Very safe for the kids to go out on their own, as they often did. Nothing is too far away from this hotel - day markets, night markets all within easy reach of public transport as the MRT (and bus stops) are minutes away. We highly recommend the public transport - as little as AUD1 for a trip and fast, efficient, self-explanatory. We hired a car and English-speaking driver for one day trip to Juifen and the Geothermal Park - easily accomplished in 7 hours (car hire was for either 4 or 8 hours). The driver was great at picking out good eateries along the way - ridiculously cheap and delicious!! Reception staff were particularly helpful in advising us destinations based on the weather. For instance, they told us not to spend money on tickets to Taipei 101 observatory on a day that was very overcast. Similarly, they advised not going into the mountains on one day but strongly recommended the National Palace Museum and surrounds. Local knowledge was very helpful. The beds are comfortable and the pillows. The bathrooms are clean. The lounge area on another level of the hotel is excellent for hanging out, eating, drinking and spreading out in case the room gets crowded. There are free drinks/cutlery/plates etc that many guests used after ordering in or getting takeaway from nearby. A very pleasant environment to work in. The free and abundant laundry services (washing machine and dryer plus detergent) were a gift when we got wet - thank you! We found Taiwan a wonderful holiday destination. The people are overwhelmingly polite, modest and dignified. A week was just enough time.

Agree with all the reviews. One of the best hotels I have stayed around the world. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities are outstanding: extremely clean, quiet, with excellent bedding, pillows and comfortable bed, walk-in shower with hot water, Toto washlet, small refrigerator, water and snacks replenished daily, nice towels, even excellent hangers! Lots of outlets for electronics, wide screen TV and individual control for air and heating that work fabulously. The second flour facility provides washers and dryers, super clean restrooms, a huge social area with counters for individuals, many outlets for electronics, unlimited tea and coffee beverages at the touch of a button, microwave, and dishes (guests wash them after use). The location is within easy walking distance to eateries, convenience stores, the metro, a book store, a stationery store, and many other businesses. For example, the Taiwan Buffet next door is clean, delicious, and inexpensive with freshly prepared foods for lunch and dinner daily, offering either eat-in or take out options. This hotel offers an exceptional value. The rooms are bright and cheerful, and a little smaller, only by western standards. It was a pleasure to return daily to my room after a long day during my 9-day stay. I would definitely return again in the future as my home away from home.

Stayed at City Inn Hotel Fuxing North Road Branch with my family. We had one room for the couple and one room for each of our children, and we made full use of the unavoidable work hours during our stay.
It wasn't a deluxe hotel, but it was neat and clean, with a good location from the airport and the city, and the hospitality of the front desk staff, who spoke fluent Japanese, was the best. Best hotel in my own opinion, service is fantastic, the location is great as well. Not only do they change your towels and refill water in the room everyday, they also refill the snacks in your room as well as provide snacks at night, which include chicken stew and cha ye dan which goes beyond just the basic biscuits and instant noodles. Excellently-located hotel less than 5 minutes walk from the MRT station (Zhongshan Junior High School on the brown line). Lots of 7-11’s and Family Mart within walking distance as well as restaurants.
Great customer care, staff were always professional and spoke great English. They arranged our airport transfer since our flight was at 7am - driver was on time and professional. They even offered to wake us up!
Got a double room which was an excellent size for 2. Room comes with replenished bottled water, a few snacks, tea and coffee. Room was cleaned daily and was cosy and quiet.
Although breakfast is not provided, the hotel has a common space on level 2 with a communal laundry (4 dryers and 4 washers), sitting/relaxing area, tea/coffee facilities and microwave. Being able to do laundry midway through a week-long holiday was an excellent touch!

Excellent service, staff always friendly and helpful. Sherry still remembers me from previous stays and our third stay was as good as the previous two stays. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Location convenient. 3 min walk to MRT. Lots of eateries in the next street. This time we were there on New Year’s Eve and they provided special snack and treats in the lobby including tea eggs, tempura, pineapple cakes, and more! Second floor lounge is so spacious for quick meals. Coffee and tea and snacks are complimentary. Laundry room has 4 washers and dryers with powdered detergent and steam iron. I can never say enough about CityInn Fuxing N. Branch. We will stay again!
