I travelled with three (always-hungry) teens.
The hotel's great location meant that we had (too) numerous inexpensive and delicious food choices around the corner! Very safe for the kids to go out on their own, as they often did.
Nothing is too far away from this hotel - day markets, night markets all within easy reach of public transport as the MRT (and bus stops) are minutes away. We highly recommend the public transport - as little as AUD1 for a trip and fast, efficient, self-explanatory.
We hired a car and English-speaking driver for one day trip to Juifen and the Geothermal Park - easily accomplished in 7 hours (car hire was for either 4 or 8 hours). The driver was great at picking out good eateries along the way - ridiculously cheap and delicious!!
Reception staff were particularly helpful in advising us destinations based on the weather. For instance, they told us not to spend money on tickets to Taipei 101 observatory on a day that was very overcast. Similarly, they advised not going into the mountains on one day but strongly recommended the National Palace Museum and surrounds. Local knowledge was very helpful.
The beds are comfortable and the pillows. The bathrooms are clean.
The lounge area on another level of the hotel is excellent for hanging out, eating, drinking and spreading out in case the room gets crowded. There are free drinks/cutlery/plates etc that many guests used after ordering in or getting takeaway from nearby. A very pleasant environment to work in.
The free and abundant laundry services (washing machine and dryer plus detergent) were a gift when we got wet - thank you!
We found Taiwan a wonderful holiday destination. The people are overwhelmingly polite, modest and dignified. A week was just enough time.

This time it is because to listen to the little giant egg concert to book a room, very close to the central station, the exit station is a 2 minute walk to arrive, along the road there are convenient stores and makeup stores and a lot of food stores, living on this side is quite functional, and the evening is also quiet.
The desk staff (Maruko) is very kind and kind, although the hotel does not have breakfast, but the staff actively provide very detailed recommendations of breakfast shops and hand-drawn maps + welcome letters, both I and Mr were very surprised and warm.
In addition, the hall and the meeting room on the 2nd floor have self-catering coffee beverages and sausages in the evening and flourishes in the morning and grapes, so don't worry about starving even if you are lazy.
The room is clean and simple, many small details make you feel comfortable and warm, such as 1. Shower to enter the bath, provide a chair to make it easier to enter. 2. The housekeeper will place a self introduction card (XXX clean) and remind the card of today's temperature.
We stayed in a large bed, the bed was very comfortable, sound insulation was good at night and no sounds were heard.
This stay is one of the first three satisfying stays we’ve had so far, and it’s the best one we’ve had in Taipei. Even if you’re not going to go to Taipei in the future, consider staying.

It wasn't a deluxe hotel, but it was neat and clean, with a good location from the airport and the city, and the hospitality of the front desk staff, who spoke fluent Japanese, was the best. They even prepared information on restaurants and cafes in Jiufen, which I was very grateful for, even though they were busy dealing with the front desk! Everything was spot on and very helpful. Thank you, MARUKO!
The instant breakfast porridge and ramen in the evening prepared in the morning lounge were also convenient and surprisingly perfect for a full stomach after shopping for gourmet food outside the hotel, so I was happy with it. Well, I didn't have the ramen in the evening, but it would be appreciated by busy businessmen and students who stayed there for work. I laughed at the system of washing and returning the dishes by yourself, but I was impressed that it was rational. So I decided to use disposable paper dishes, so there were no problems at all.
I was able to enjoy sightseeing in Taipei city and the various places I visited, and it was a pleasant stay. I am very satisfied with the attentiveness of the staff. The building is modern, and the view of the city from the comfortable lounge on the second floor made me feel like I was in Taipei. This is one of the hotels I would like to visit again.

Also, when his companion, who is not yet familiar with Taiwan, moved to his first location by himself, he recommended that "it is easy to understand how to use a taxi" and arranged for him, which allowed him to fully enjoy the activities in that location.
There seem to be several front desk staff members who are fluent in Japanese, so there is no need to worry about language. It is also about a 5-minute walk from the MRT station (from Taoyuan Airport, it is only a short section by taking the bus to Matsuyama Airport and then taking the MRT), so even if you are traveling to Taiwan for the first time, you can stay at the hotel with peace of mind.
I recommend it.
Great customer care, staff were always professional and spoke great English. They arranged our airport transfer since our flight was at 7am - driver was on time and professional. They even offered to wake us up!
Got a double room which was an excellent size for 2. Room comes with replenished bottled water, a few snacks, tea and coffee. Room was cleaned daily and was cosy and quiet.
Although breakfast is not provided, the hotel has a common space on level 2 with a communal laundry (4 dryers and 4 washers), sitting/relaxing area, tea/coffee facilities and microwave. Being able to do laundry midway through a week-long holiday was an excellent touch!
Well done to the team at Cityinn Hotel Fuxing N Rd!

There is also a meeting room on the 2nd floor where you can rest and wait for the washing machine! The room is clean and comfortable, the next time to play!
"Staff is gracious & friendly. You can leave your bags in their care if you arrive too early to check in or after checkout for later pick up."Read full review
