The hotel is tucked off a larger street and has a friendly staff. Rooms were comfortable and well maintained.
The locations is central to explore Tainan City and they have bicycles you can use to explore.

The front desk staff was friendly and spoke some English.
They offer a nice breakfast and we really enjoyed our stay.

There is also a small lounge where they have coffee and tea as well as a computer / printer for internet access.

We stayed two nights and chose the hotel due to excellent location to explore area and close landmarks by foot. The hotel is located close to various eating possibilities and is very hip and artsy. It is a solid 3 star boutique hotel, offers a breakfast good to start your day and has friendly staff. We stayed in room 205 which is facing the alley and we didn‘t hear any road noise at night. Size is okay for two people travelling with two big suitcases. Perfect hotel to stay a couple days and explore Tainan. Good value overall.

The hotel has charming and characterful rooms. The staff were incredibly helpful and always went that extra mile. On top of this, the breakfast was delicious, home-cooked and using simple and wholesome, not fancy ingredients. I love the hotel's location. It is located in a very lively market area that is not only a traditional tailoring and textile market, but also food market with quite a number of legendary snack stalls that have been around for generations. Added to this mix are young entrepreneurs who have opened up very interesting offers amongst the noodles and dumplings stalls. For example, a lovely fried chicken stall, a high-quality almond milk stall where you can sit at the counters and be served with a variety of beautiful almond drinks.

Central location in city centre, close to many walkable attractions. Friendly staffs that gladly assist your needs. We felt cold in our room due to winter season and they offered a heater fan. Breakfast is good. There is a common lounge and a reading room for R&R. Would return to stay in future.

About
Description
The JJ-W Hotel is a new life of the old Jia Jia Hotel near the historic West Market in Tainan, thus its name, which stands for both the new and the old Jia Jia, representing a close relationship between each More other. The old Jia Jia Hotel was constructed in the 1970s, designed by the very first licensed female architect, Hsiu-Lian Wang. It can be considered a meaningful emblem of Taiwan’s progress toward a multi-cultural society that shows equal respect to different genders. Unfortunately, this meaningful emblem could not survive the cruel market competition, the old Jia Jia’s reputation and business fading. Less

West Central District/ North District
The West Central District is the most populous and the
busiest area. A lot of shops and hotels crowd the
district, and the long-standing history results in a
variety of street food. In addition to that, this
district also has the highest number of temples. This
is how it got the name “Tainan’s Pantheon.” Historic
buildings are literally ubiquitous. For example,
