1st day was checked in by a girl( tomboy) & a big size man. Wasn’t greeted by them. No smiling face & toned of voice not pleasant. Location is fantastic. Cleanliness is good but toilet not regularly checked or clean after used by customers. My bedroom is single occupancy. Very small but got privacy . Only 1 miserable pillow given . Good facilities with hot water, chiller, coffee etc. Brushing teeth on sink has got no hot water. If you’re budgeted traveller it’s a good place.

More spacious than I thought, not sure about others, but my luggage and shopping bags fitted perfectly in the cubicle with room for me to pack comfortably as well. Great use of space, where there's also a desk for me to use my laptop comfortably. Did not expect a television with a variety of channels, but there it is. Mirror fitted in cubicle to make sure you look good before going out. Great neighbours who minimize their noise levels to not disrupt others. Conveniently located.

However, room was a little too cold for me, good thing I had a jacket and also hid comfortably under the blanket. The washroom/shower rooms could be better maintained, though they're clean enough to use but girls and their long strands of hair laying around on the floor can be a turn off. Forgot if towels were provided but I brought my own.

Well, I've enjoyed the stay!

Positive points about this hotel:
1.Location is very good as there are few convenient stores across the road.
2. Affordable.
3. Very clean and cosy.
4.Free to refill drinking water.
5.Staff are helpful.
6.Free coffee and tea .
7.Free internet.
8.Individual tv for each people staying in bunk bed.
9.Many cable channels to watch.
10.Headset is provided to watch tv.

Negative points about this hotel:
1.Room is really small. Hardly able to open my luggage suitcase on the floor inside the room.
2. Not many toilet cubicles for men to use.
3. Wall is too thin as I could hear people talking in next room.
4. TV sometimes does not work as it always stuck for not playing smoothly.
5. No room cleaning although we stayed for 5 nights.

Overall, it is recommended for travellers just to spend the nights for sleeping only in this hotel.

I booked a room with single bed but the hotel gave me a room with bunk bed and refused to refund me even as I refused to accept the downgraded room. It's a low quality hotel and with the same money you can get better room in the area. I think this is totally disgraceful and will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Positives :-
Good Location. Xi Men.

Negatives :-
Could Do Much Much Better on All Fronts, Not to be recommended !

1. First night arriving after a 12 hour Plus Flight, then layover and another flight...Arrived Not expecting a glamorous place, but functional at least!? The two then staff members One Ethan) of which communicated in English very well, Rare in Taiwan. However the second in question "Gogo" was clearly visibly distasteful towards me, deadly serious, English Questionable indeed, even overheard his mockery directed at me!

2. I paid in Cash was given NO receipt! Not even when I paid for another night, and Not even when I was forced to pay for my friend who was with me for a few hours! Informed on his arrival Brutally Rudely in-front of my embarrassed and shocked Taiwanese Friend by this "Gogo" Inn Cube reception showing his distaste and even hostility towards us saying abruptly with vehement hate "Its against Rules!" "He can't stay!" Then only if I paid $500 Taiwan Dollars! Given No extra Pillow and (one Pillow between two persons, a single Duvet between two people) On requesting a pillow I was formerly denied us "No.... !" Unyet I was forced to pay an Extra £500 for adding my friend! Incredibly appalling!

3.Bad, laughingly called 'mattress' that slips off of the very low slippery platform its on during sleep is a hazard and highly uncomfortable indeed, back ache ensued!

4. If your lucky to have a window very few do there are NO curtains so the Dawn wakes you up early!

5. Clean towels are ONLY given out between 11AM and 3 PM (who is normally in at this ridiculous time? Most guests leave before and return after this time!) No clean Bedding daily Only after Three Nights of stay IF Your Lucky! I was forced to Wash my Own Bedding one night!

6. ONLY Chinese Channels on a Tiny TV in room, all the time!

7.Absurd two Showers and two toilets each for men and women for the whole place! No Toilet or shower in any rooms!
The Two showers, Two Toilets between each sexes become filthy with so much use!

8. Rooms are ever-so stark the single room are as big as a Broom closet, double look no bigger and far less furnished etc than a prison cell!

9. No room Service what so ever! No Cleaning! You are responsible during one's stay to clean, remove waste from bins, change Towels etc...The 'staff sit at the reception all the time!'

10. The Very first Night You are instructed to hands keys to front desk I did so and yet my keys were Lost ! I was made to feel I lost them and was not being Truthful. Fears that if the 'Inn Cube' did not have my keys who did ?

11. No Safe deposit, Safe, in Room or on premises in this 'Inn Cube' !

12. Foreign Non Chinese speaking Guests you will struggle with Communication Only One staff member (Ethen) speaks English well (educated in the UK) and understands fully, English!

All together Feels like a Solitary confinement facility with the way its structured and set up. Its looks, its regime, Its Character and attitude lend it to this description!

In cube is a compact room hotel. Shared showers and toilets. What I appreciate is basic clean private room to affordable price. What I don't appreciate is when I was there there was a lot of noise in the corridor (people slamming doors, talking etc) and there is no sound insulation. You hear everything that happens in the corridor. The staff is friendly and helpful, I mixed Chinese and English booking the room but I think you can do it all in English if you want.

Clean hotel and a privacy room. If you are a single, it is good to sleep with this privacy hostel room. If it is busy time(Friday and Saturday night after 11:00pm), it should queue for a long time to wash and go to toilet. The room is small, if the baggage is large, it should open it outside the room.

We did not book any advance before we visit to Taipei. Luckily, we able to get a double bed deck room for a night. The space was small (for 4pax in a double bed deck room).

As a backpacker hostel, it consider clean and cozy. With paying this price, you get all the basic amenities.

The location of the hostel is good. And the hostel is clean. Besides, you there's convenience stalls opposite to the hostel.

In the shopping district of Wanhua and Ximen, 20 minutes walk to main traim station, 7 mins to mrt Ximen and 5 mins to many busses.

Clean compact rooms, good value for money. Shared bathrooms kept clean except rush hours mornings and evenings when showers have hair on the floor.

Nice deco, friendly and helpful staff.

I'd like to start with the positive points of this place:
-Internet is fast
-Checkin was painless
-Staff was running out of single rooms and put me in a bunk bed room (which wasn't better than the single room but i appreciate they tried to accommodate me)
-The common areas are new, well lit, and clean

Now for the bad parts:
-Mattresses are HORRIBLE (10cm thick, I woke up every 3 hours with a frozen shoulder or painful back, really cheap quality)
-Bathrooms are dirty (as in there is mold on the walls). Also apparently hot water is scarce in the evening (i shower in the morning but my friend complained about this as she was showering in the evening).
-There are only 2 males toilets and 3 males showers for 39 rooms, many of which are double, triple, or quadruple rooms!!
-Common areas are tiny (not much more than a dozen seats and a bar-sized counter)
-Noise level are high in the late evening and morning, including noises that you can hear with earplugs
-Staff doesn't speak english

To conclude I won't recommend this place to my friends. For the same price I'll tell them to go on AirBNB.

Hello, I think they do. They change your towels every day by leaving them to the main desk or you have to tell them.
