Detailed Reviews
Together with my partner I've spent one entire week at the Bulgari Resort on Bali in November 2019. Due to many positive experiences of friends and family already having visited the island, our expectations were somewhat high. Nonetheless, the resort - in particular thanks to its utterly hard working staff - managed to outdo all of them by far.
To start with, all employees were outstandingly attentive and caring. It's easily perceivable and even palpable that the resort has successfully instilled into them the maxim that the guests' welfare is of paramount importance. Not only were all wishes fulfilled to our utmost satisfaction, what is more, some were virtually read from our thoughts.
Secondly, it has to be highlighted that the resort is very well maintained and hence absolutely shipshape. The spa is set above a precipice with an arresting view of the shore of the Indian Ocean. Pristine plants border all paths between the guests' villas and the public areas such as the pool and the restaurants.
Speaking of food, we relished the meals at the resort a lot. Both restaurants, a local and an Italian one, served remarkably palatable luncheons and dinners covering Indonesian and more familiar European tastes simultaneously. Nevertheless, the breakfast turned out to be our favourite meal for the rich choice of fresh exotic fruits of unparalleled taste.
Finally, another positive aspect of our stay was the weather - even if this one cannot be attributed to the resort. According to the meteorological calendar it was supposed to be rainy. However, during our entire stay we didn’t experience one single drop of precipitation.
In conclusion, rarely have we been so content with a hotel or resort. Therefore, not only would we recommend the resort, also we would spend our holidays there again without deliberation.

From arrival to departure, we felt like we are in a hidden heaven on earth, in the middle of green nature and spectacular ocean. The hotel’s design is beautiful; modern chic, classy yet sober. The food and the drinks are delicious, we loved everything we ate and drank from breakfast to dinner. The staff were very attentive to our tastes and the kind attention of complimentary “aperitivo” and cold water service during whole day by the main pool made us feel special. We could not not have a Balinese massage while we are there and we loved the treatment. I must say that it was one of the best massages that l had.
We are very thankful to all the staff of the resort, from Bar team, restaurant hosts to garden cleaners, they were very smiley, attentive and nice. Our special thanks go to our buttler Ode who made our stay memorable! It was a fantastic romantic luxury get away!

Easily the best resort for couple i've been to. The check in process was really swift, after that we had our personal butlers, Pak Edo & Wayan, deliver us to our villa with a buggy while introducing us to the resort facilities.
Our villa number, 39, has a really clear view of the endless ocean. I mentioned that i booked the villa for honeymoon and they provided us with a happy honeymoon cake.
The first thing me and my wife did was visit the beach. You had to ride a lift along the steep cliff and walk down quite a long stairs to reach the beach but it was really worth it. The beach feels very private and the beach attendant prepared us our beach chairs and provided us with cold water.
At night, you can clealry see the stars in the sky and our butlers prepared us with a hot drink in a tumbler which tasted really good.
Breakfast in Sangkar comes with a variety of buffet choices of cheese, cured meats, smoked fishes and cereals. There is also an a la carte menu available for order. I ordered the grilled baramundi and it was really tasty. You also get a wonderful view in the outdoor seating that faces towards the ocean.
Thanks Bulgari for the wonderful stay, thanks Pak Edo & Wayan for taking good care of us.

Dear Davinseng, Thank you for choosing Bulgari Resort Bali as your honeymoon destination. I am mostly happy to know that you thoroughly enjoyed the experience from villa 39, the ride down to the beach, the turndown drinks to the breakfast at Sangkar. I have also shared your feedback with Edo and Wayan, their are equally happy to know that all the efforts are highly appreciated by you. We look forward to welcoming you and your wife in the future. The hotel seems they are suffering from the pandemic. The service is terrible and a bad representation of the brand. Rooms do not have adequate WiFi to cover the villas they give and when asked to fix take over a day to improve. When asking for room service they lie to your face expecting you to be born yesterday telling us a pizza will take a long time to make because they need to make the dough and make it round, when the truth is pizza dough is made in advance to ferment. They also were not able to take room service orders because the person is in the toilet, our appetite was gone immediately. This hotel have told us many management left due to the pandemic and in my opinion are not fit to be operating a premium brand where there customer expectation is clearly going to be of top service. Very disappointing and we have decided to leave the hotel to Four Season due to this.

We stayed in a premier ocean villa, really nice room with a great view. I loved the spacious bathroom and the outside area, it had a really good outside shower as well as the pool. The main pool was quiet and had good service, we didn't spend much time here as we loved the beach. The crashing waves were mesmerising, I hardly got any reading done. The food in Il Ristorante was great, but I didn't really enjoy the food in Sangkar, we had a table outside and it was pretty dark. I ordered the ribs which came in a soup, I just couldn't see what I was eating and it had a lot of gristle.

We have been to the Bulgari Bali several times now over the years and each time we ask ourselves "why go anywhere else?" It is truly that special. Even by Balinese standards, the warmth and hospitality shown by the staff and management are beyond compare, from the welcome at reception to the nightly gifts left in the room to the genuine smiles from everyone, eager to please and get you whatever you need.
This can't always be easy. At their new higher price points, the Bulgari attracts much more of a "serve me NOW" crowd who treats the staff with less courtesy than other resorts we visited in Bali, but the staff are unshakeable.
The facilities are absolutely immaculate. Not a grain of sand remained in our villa though we tracked in plenty of sand from the gorgeous (how many times can I use that word) private beach, reached by a manned hillavator.
The villas are enormous and private, with plenty of space to spread out. A decadently large bathroom features two showers (one indoor, one outdoor) with a Toto automated toilet in a separate room. An enormous "walk through" closet provides plenty of storage and I am still dreaming of the ice cold bedroom with those gorgeous sheets and that perfect mattress. Very few air conditioners can get a villa down to 19 degrees in Bali, but these can, for those who like to sleep with it cold.
There have been a few tradeoffs after COVID. The beach staff no longer serves meals on the beach, but instead invites you to the beach restaurant a short walk away. We actually ended up preferring that as the food was hotter and it was a nice break from the equatorial sun to enjoy the open-air restaurant.
Dinner at IL RISTORANTE compared favorably to our extensive travels in Italy, and breakfast each morning was a delightful feast for the senses, overlooking the serenity of the glass sea.
The Bulgari is rather isolated (good!) so if you're looking for a night club scene or a place to use as a base to go other places in Bali, I would not recommend it. Once you're inside the walls, if you're like us, you'll never want to leave. And why would you?

Stayed 2 nights with my wife, bulagri / bvlgari Bali is oke the best service and hospitality in Bali. Started our arrival the staffs greet with our name, I mean from check in till buggy and butler service also. Our villa with ocean view made us can enjoy little bit of awesomeness sunset in our private plunge pool. During pandemic they still do maintenance and treatment for their property, the pool not slippery and all area very clean.
Also tried the spa, you must do spa with Desak (spa therapist), really enjoyed so much. Thank you also for Retno and Hanson for the hospitality.

That's how i feel after spending 2 of the best days of my entire life at the resort. Forget every deluxurious experience you had in your life before checking in here and do not try to compare it to what Bvlgari will gift you with. The resort is simply a piece of paradise on earth, and every single detail of it is a new definition for 'excellence', 'exclusive', 'exquisite', 'relax', or 'premium'.
The service is probably one of the bests i ever had in my life: every single member of the staff is smiley, lovely and worried about the guest's wellbeing. Every single corner of the hotel is picture perfect, SO well taken care of and made to be on the top of the best instagram profiles. The word 'delicious' is not strong enough to describe every food bite you can have at the hotel and the spa is something you will never forget.
The villas are so incredible that i would not be able to describe it only with words and... that beach! The hotel owns a private beach that will be on top of your best memories forever.

I have been wanting to stay in this hotel for the longest time (since before.I got married in 2016). When the travel restrictions were lifted, I decided to splurge since this is the first Bali trip for me and my husband.
I was captivated by the sea view the moment we stepped into the lobby for check-in. We were chauffeured everywhere within the resort by a buggy and there is 24 hour butler service.
Our package is inclusive of 60 minutes massage and both of us enjoyed it so much that we drifted to la-la land. They even allowed us to use the steam room prior to the massage.
There is a private beach and guests were brought down (as the resort is built on a cliff) using the inclinator. This is a first for both of us. There is also a restaurant at the bottom.
We opted for breakfast to be served at our villa. The service crew is so meticulous that they even showed a picture of an egg (via WhatsApp) to confirm that is the way we wanted it. We ordered “well done egg”.
Each villa has a plunge pool and we did not use the public pool. We enjoyed 180 degrees sea view from our room.
They extended our check-out time to ensure we enjoyed to our hearts pleasure. All the staff we met are so friendly and polite. They thanked us for visiting them and I felt touched cos they are appreciative.
Everything was tip top and we had a memorable and enjoyable stay. Thanks to the team who work so hard to make sure the guests are well taken care of.

Four things that I relished while I was staying in Bulgari hotel Bali. First, the majestic of hotel architecture itself; combining traditional balinese heritage, the nature of balinese beach and ocean, with the luxury touch of Bulgari artistic style. Second, relentless surprise every day; customized video when the first time we entered the room, comforting and always-changing traditional snacks and ginger tea supplied everyday, until the appearance of micro gamelan in my room in the evening day. Third, magnificent services provided by the butler in every second; my wife is a big fan of rujak and I know it is super-hard to find this kind of food in the edge of uluwatu beach, yet the butlers always found it and deliver it to our cottage. Five star service. And four, I found it special when I discovered several rare books in my room describing the journey and the majestic of Bulgari brands itself. Relaxing and inspiring at the same time. After experience Bulgari, I realized that luxury is not a how price you pay but it always about service, surprise, customization, and attention to details.

Dear Malexandra2121, at Bvlgari Resort Bali we have the inclined elevator to take our guests to and from the beach. This white sand beach is inaccessible to the general public.
Definetely worth the price
Yes swimmable BUT I agree with previous contributor, very large rock formations just offshore makes shallow swimming and wading the only option. It certainly is beautiful however !! Regardless, you won't be disappointed.
