We stayed for 4 nights in this huge hotel which in times gone by must certainly have been super luxury. Now the structure is showing some age but is maintained quite well. The very large staff is always kind, helpful and professional, providing help with every request. The rooms are very large and comfortable, the cleanliness is excellent and everything worked perfectly, even the wifi was great (we watched films there). There are three swimming pools (one of which is the main one), a restaurant, a bar, a tennis court, table tennis, a gym, a large scooter park and of course the golf course. In short, the services are certainly there. The location is decentralized, to get to Uluwatu it's a long way, and the distance from the hotel to the main road is also considerable...three kilometers of avenue separate the road from the entrance. We had a good time, but it's certainly a compromise, if I were to return to Uluwatu I would look for more central accommodation. For this reason alone I give it 3 points, for the rest it would be 4 given the excellent value for money.

Very large facility with friendly staff in a nice area. The rooms were perfectly fine, the beds were comfortable and generally fresh. The breakfast had a large selection and satisfied the stomach, however, they were bad at gluten-free. The pool area was nice and well maintained where you could work out, play billiards or have a drink. Would say it was a bit of a stretch to call it a 5 star hotel but would recommend it if you plan to stay in uluwatu. However, the location is very remote, i.e. it is far from the stands, about 20 minutes to Dreamland beach

Le Grande hotel Bali Uluwatu.
One of the most disastrous experience at the hotel.
I would rate this hotel one star out of five, The hotel situated in air very beautiful area but The hotel is,
. Ruined and old
. Absolute filth and dirty everywhere
. The hotel dark from the road entrance, all the way to the reception including room and everywhere around the hotel.
. The staff very unfriendly and unprofessional
. The Wi-Fi is absolutely terrible
. The food is disaster and filthy including the breakfast
. The pool water is very dirty
. The gym is filthy
. You can get a towel in a five star hotel.
. The sheets, pillows and the curtains are absolutely disgustingly dirty and filthy, filled with stains.
. When you use the spa to have a massage they never change the sheets underneath you or the small towels.
I suggest the booking agencies are selling this hotel packages and they’re advertising as a five star hotel, they should pay the hotel a visit and discover it themselves.
I had one of the worst experience in this hotel, full of ants and insects everywhere.

Le Grande Bali is not so grande anymore. The hotel has really suffered from a lack of investment and is very run down, so don't believe the photos you see. Not sure if it's due to covid or what but a lot of things in the hotel just need updating. Yes the rooms are very large but it's all a bit old.
Location of the resort is also not great if you're staying here to explore Uluwatu, it's too far away from everything. They say they offer scooter rental but every day we checked all scooters were already gone, so we had to use more expensive taxis/a driver to get anywhere. Even the closest scooter rental place is a drive away and they wouldn't let you rent one for just a day (only more days).
We're travelling around Asia for a longer period so this was just not the right hotel for us. If you're booking this to just chill at the pool (which was actually nice) and not pay top dollar it could be right for you.

First impression : run down. First room we got smelled like mold like really bad and we asked for a different room they said there was none even though the hotel is empty. They said they would put aromatherapy (aka a candle with scent diffuser) to make the smell go away. Somehow there was magically another room but we needed to wait an hour .. no problem / we went to the restaurant where the food is small portions and well.... average. Second room smelled much better - went to plug in phone dead roach on the nightstand. Then live roach in the shower... etc etc. bathroom was leaking from the roof. Spa was not comfortable or appealing but Ani was very sweet and Gave a great massage. Pool was ok and so was the staff (especially Kadek by the pool bar). In other words, had an Ok time but this is far from a 5 star hotel as it is marketed.

This is our second time to stay together in this hotel. Great hotel with a great value of money. This time they offer me as well free massage by the pool and it was great. The only thing we disappointed this time is when we wanted to check out and ask how much they charge for transportation to go to ubud. They give us price 500k, which is way too much. I asked for a reasonable price but they couldn’t get lower than 450k. So I called my cousin to arrange us transportation. And surprisingly when the car arrive the drivers from the hotel weren’t happy and try to give us a ‘trial’ on how we get the car. Is that online and how we get it and they even ask us to show us my chat to my cousin with a very aggressive way (which in my opinion is not polite at all). Other than that, the staff inside the hotel are really polite and nice. The breakfast is good. The coffee is perfect. The restaurant is also really delicious.

At first we were surprised with the price for 5 star hotel. The territory and pool was very good room seemed spacious and clean. But after a week there things started to get worse and worse. At first I was waken up by some noise. Something was running in my ceiling after I heard squeaky noise from there. I called reception and in about 40!! Minutes staff came and said to me that there is rats. I was shocked (because it’s a five hotel) but they very very calm like it was something very usual for them. After few days my A/C started to smell disgusting I called the receptions 3 times and left the room because I can’t stay any longer. When I return to my room in the evening it smells even worse then I came to reception to ask them what’s going on and they told me that no one came to my room, so they just don’t give any attention to this. I told them that it is inappropriate and showed the video of the rats noise and smell in the room asking for returning my money or least giving some discount. All they tell me is if you don’t have a photo of the rat on my room they can’t help me!!! I ve never been in such awful hotel. The territory is pretty good and pools also but service and everything else was absolutely awful. So I will not recommend to stay there and hoping that this place will be closed in the nearest future

Horrible place beware is a dangerous hazards hotel, they make you sign a waiver the floor fences are broken so you might fall from a 4th floor. 🐀 💩 stinky roomS, bad service just dangerous. They will offer you a free laundry service if you give them a fake review. We tried to check out they didn’t pay attention to us and never cancel the booking they don’t refund even if you can literally die there… scary place do not go with kids at all!!!

Do not waste your money!!! We were hesitant to book because of the low review ratings but after looking at the pictures on the internet, we thought it would be a nice experience. We were mistaken! We reserved the "Deluxe Room with Pool Access". It looks NOTHING like the pictures online. The hotel appears to be built in the 1970's and has not been remodeled since. Our sliding glass door was open when we checked in and would barely lock which left us feeling unsafe. The room smelled horrible, everything was dirty and not maintained. The pictures were photoshopped because it looks nothing like what you see online. The front desk refused to give us a refund and they said there were no other rooms available. Plus, they had construction going on that was not disclosed to us when we booked. Extremely poor customer service. Save your money and go elsewhere!
