From the dirt road this place is understated , but as soon as we passed through the little gate we were met by Susan. She warmly welcomed us and showed us our large, vaulted ceiling, clean , fresh scented, poolside king size bed room . The linens were beautiful. The air conditioning and ceiling fan were fabulous and the bathrooms were complete with pool and shower towels. One small demerit, that we discussed with Susan, was that there is no breakfast or coffee machine in suite , with this Bed and Breakfast listing. Which is something they know they have to get changed on their listing. They used to offer a breakfast but Covid changed that. Coffee can be made in their little outdoor shed/kitchen She had excellent restaurant recommendations though. All in all it was a clean, safe, quiet, peaceful and relaxing place with excellent service from Susan.…
9 nights here and it was a fantastic base for our time in Costa Rica. Only four apartments. One main room with an ensuite and air conditioning. Spotlessly clean eveywhere. Susan the manager was very helpful but never intrusive. There is an outdoor kitchen where we made early morning proper coffee in order to sit outside and watch the dawn whilst listening to the Howler Monkeys and wonderful birdsong as the sun came up. Lovely pool Too.
I visited this place to scape of city stress. The place is very very peaceful and relaxing, and indoors are great too. I highly recommended this place, a balance of peace and harmony with nature and commodities... #puravida
I stayed one week at Casita Mar y Posa in late February/early March, 2020. Chan and Christele (owners) are very gracious hosts who did everything they could to make my stay comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and filling and you are always given a choice of two different things. This B & B is located in a quiet neighborhood in the town of Potrero, roughly a ten minute walk to the beach and many restaurants. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. In the morning you can wake up to the sound of howler monkeys which is very cool. When I return to Potero I will definitely stay at Casita Mar y Posa again! Jeff (Calgary, Canada)
With my wife, we have stayed 2 nights in the Casita Mar y Posa. Everything was perfect, very nice cosy room, nice amenities with a pool, good homemade breakfast. The owners are very nice, they give you good advises what to do and where to eat.
What a great night we had staying at this B&B. Charming 4 room inn with a fantastic breakfast made fresh in the garden. Room was very clean and comfortable and we were left with waters and plenty of towels for the shower and pool. The homemade breakfast with fresh made bread and homemade papaya jam along with fresh cut fruit, cereal choices, wonderful coffee and the bean & rice, eggs, plantains, turkey and cheese to top it off. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!
The small but beautiful property is owned by the sweetest and most accommodating french couple, Chan and Christele. The property is only two years old so it is new and well maintained with great beds and thoughtfully decorated. The pool is small but more than adequate for this property with plenty of sun and shade and comfortable areas to lounge. Christele prepared a very tasty breakfast each morning with fresh juices, coffee and an assortment of teas, fresh cut fruit plates as well as choices for the main dish. The french toast was the best I have ever eaten and I love french toast!! No syrup needed as it was perfect as it. They also have a pair of electric scooters and bicycles on site for free use by their guest, which we used numerous times in our 4 day stay. Chan was a perfect concierge booking our transportation from the airport, booking manicure and spa services at a nearby resort, providing great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. Within 1/4 mile of beach and a block or two from numerous restaurants and a grocery store. Each room has a mini fridge as well. All around awesome retreat!! Looking forward to returning to Mar y Posa soon.…
I spent 5 nights at Casita Mar y Posa over the Christmas period and my stay was just perfect. Chan and Christelle were the hosts and were extremely helpful in giving me advice on how to get a transfer from San Jose to their B&B which I appreciated very much. The property consists of 4 rooms which are very clean and comfortable with the best bed and air conditioning ever. There was a pool to help cool you off in the heat of the day. The breakfast provided was fantastic with homemade bread and the most delicious jams you’ll ever taste (my personal favourite being the mango jam). The property is close to Potrero beach but do venture further and explore the area - I highly recommend Playa Penca....beautiful and secluded. I very much enjoyed my stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. …
My husband and I started our trip with five nights at Mar Y Posa. It was a great place to stay. Our room was spacious and so clean and the fridge was very welcome. Christelle and Chan are the perfect hosts, always ready to help and they offer a delicious breakfast. The pool offers a welcome relief from the heat. We had a car so we were able to get around and enjoy the area. Good restaurants are nearby. We loved our stay here and would come back in a heart beat.
I stayed here for 4 nights while I completed my scuba dive training close by. Chan and Christele are very warm and hospitable. All our communication prior to arriving was prompt and clear. The room was as expected and very clean. Everything was in good working condition. Christele went out of her way to make a special vegan breakfast for me early each morning before I left for my diving lessons. They also gave me good tips on places to dine nearby. It was a pleasant, enjoyable and relaxing stay. I would recommend their place without hesitation. Thank you Chan and Christele!
