We had booked this through agoda at the start of January, 6 days before our stay in February I get an email to say they cannot accommodate us because they've overbooked! Was a big inconvenience and really disappointing to be told this so close to our stay.
If you’re looking for something peaceful, rustic and off-the-beaten-path, then this is your place. The food is great and the service is attentive. The cabins have what you need but remember you’re off the grid and on a generator so hot water, electricity, and fans have limited hours. The beach isn’t really great for swimming or snorkeling but the view is great. There’s also a kayak so you can paddle to nearby beaches and a waterfall. By all means, take advantage of the tours to the islands offered by the hotel!
We had a great stay here! Despite rainy days, we enjoyed the beach and kubos. And the island hopping tours they organized for us was very fun! The staff definitely makes the atmosphere friendly and familiar - such a big part of our positive experience here. Recommendable for those who don't need the town nearby and want a quiet island experience. Thanks, we will be back!
We had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights. A plain but clean and quint hotel on an almost private beach. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Luiz was a perfect host and Maria cooks some of the most delicious food in the Philippines. We arranged for an island hopping tour with Sunset Colors, and no effort was spared even though it was only the 2 of us. They packed and made a great fresh lunch for us, with food enough for 4, and accommodated my dietary requirement with no hassle. They are generator operated and thus only has power 6 hours of a day, and no hot water - luckily it is so hot, that a cold shower is welcome. We found the limited electricity adds to a magical relaxed stay. Do yourself a favor and stay here for a nigh or 3, you will not regret it!!
Absolutely amazing If you want 24 hour electricity, wifi, air con, hot water and an ATM, then this isn't for you If you want a Robinson Crusoe experience with sun beds, flush toilets and staff do come We recommend you also go to El Nido or Sabang - we didn't- had a fantastic two weeks here but gather from other travellers we missed out on those Beach is stunning at high tide and I sometimes had the beach to myself! Yes sadly there are rocks at low tide. Shallow warm water. Watch out for jellyfish, especially if you kayak. Brilliant eggs, bacon and brownies- best in the world! Island hopping and snorkelling trip was brilliant- great value as it included lunch (take cash - there's a bar on German island) waterfalls also good but path branch to hotel is easy to miss on return…
