Overrated on booking.com, I would not recommend this accomodation Like: terrace, breakfast, fan in the room, beachfront Dislike: bad smell in the room, cockroaches in the shower, old towels, uncomfortable mattress

Ausan Beach Front Cottages are definitely an acquired taste. The room is bold and colourful, it wasn’t necessarily to my taste, but I loved how unusual it was, I think the colours of the walls and bathroom were quirky, the bedding choice didn’t compliment that but again – that’s my opinion (and it’s just bedding, the bed itself was comfy). The actual only downside of the room was that we chose to have a “fan only room” and it just didn’t cool us down at all and it’s quite dark inside. However, aside from the rooms, the place itself we couldn’t fault. The location was a 15/10! The surroundings of the hotel rooms and the restaurant area are all beautifully themed together as this treehouse paradise. The beach area is part of the hotel and it’s so beautiful with fantastic access to Port Barton (literally is Port Barton) for any boat trips you’d like to take. The food was lovely too, there is so much choice! If you do stay here, make sure you love dogs as there as 4 of them in the restaurant, they did beg for food a little, but the staff moved them away. My favourite part of our stay here was just sitting on our room veranda with a cocktail listening to the sea and looking at that view. When you think it couldn’t get any better, the sun sets, that view is worth putting up with the unappealing bedding! :D

Room Tip: Perhaps pick a room not so close to the restaurant and the music can be loud at night.

Absolutely amazing location. Waking up to the view of the ocean was breathtaking. Sunset views, smell of the ocean. All in all a great hotel. We had breakfast included and that was a nice start to the day. Defiantly recommend this is a must.

We were so happy we chose Ausan for our stay at Port Barton - the location, rooms, views over the ocean and the restaurant on the beach was the perfect choice. We even organised our day tour A through the resort and were lucky to only have 5 others on our boat. Dinner time this was the busiest restaurant in the area. Great location to visit if you are travelling to Palawan

This is our favorite place in Port Barton. Everything is still perfect from swift check in, dinner and breakfast. We wanted to try other restaurants there too but we always crave for Ausan's food, the serving is generous and the price is very affordable. The people are so friendly and attentive. Rooms are always clean with the hot shower that will give you the best feeling after your cold swim from the sea. Will definitely come back.

Relaxing place compared to others in El Nido and Coron. Basic rooms without TV or WiFi. Waves lapping outside will lull you to sleep. Massage, general store, restaurants and kayak hire nearby. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Regret not staying there longer.

The entire personnel was so friendly. We have a three-night stay at this property in the superior room. Funny during check-in, the girl asked how many people are we? I said, just the two of us, and she looks at me like what? Lol Their superior room was pricey and can accommodate three people. But I believe they have only two for this type of room. Thus reserve in advance is recommended. I book the room seven months before our trip. They have 24 hours of electricity, but the free wifi is very weak, only available in the restaurant. It is best to buy a local sim card if you want a stable internet. Our room is upstairs, with a balcony facing the ocean. It's precisely the same as in the photo. The wall painted in a jungle design but turned the room into darkness. Beautiful place a lot of space, it was worth the price. The housekeeping is available on request. And during the room cleaning, the beddings were also refreshed. The bathroom is less: I'm not too fond of the rock stone floor in the bathroom. They cleaned daily, but I can feel the sand still in there. The hot water is not to regulate (too hot). We turn off one of the buttons, and we only get cold water. The concrete stairs have a weird layout, too wide apart. My partner fell while going down.

Great location with a nice breakfast (good except that they don't serve brewed coffee, just instant, so we had to make our own). The wifi was only passable in the lobby/restaurant at odd (ie. late) hours when others weren't using it. Friendly, helpful staff and a variety of room types. Second most affordable "real" restaurant in town.

Ausan is a great spot on a vibrant beach. Food and drinks are cheap and staff are pleasant and helpful. Be careful of those selling tours on the beach though...some will take advantage of kind and generous tourists while others are extremely genuine!
