I did not expect much because I know the area is quite far, little did I know that I would really enjoy the holy week because the 4-hr travel from puerto is very worth it.. The Besaga is very cozy, clean, quiet, and the food is great. AFFORDABLE and the staff are approachable and warm. I really recommend the place. Best Holy Week so far.

We enjoyed Besaga, very nice stuff , good food, close to the beach. We stayed in non air co room, just air fan and it was fine!
Fit to family, couples, and also for people who travel alone.
The only thing is that there isn’t hot water in shower but is somehow ok because it’s hot outside.

We had several dishes here, and all were very good indeed. The veggy curry amd calamari were excellent. Service was ok. Very nice views overlooking the sea. Shame they don't take credit cards, as we would have spent more money here.

Don't come here if you expect a warm shower or even a shower at all. No water hot or cold expected to use a large bucket and jug to wash yourself. Told there was low water pressure due to lack of rain. Why advertise hot shower if there isn't any ? Not refund or free drinks offered in lieu of no water
Expected to us to this to wash !! See picture

Very disappointed, we went for a first to know the schedules for dinner, we were told until 8pm. we came back 4 days later and we arrived at 7.20pm, the waitress (the same person as the previous time) arrived at 7.30pm to inform us that the kitchen is closed, it closes at 7.30pm.
It would have been nice to let us know first.

We love Besaga and went back over Christmas and new year for our second visit. We stayed in the beachfront rooms which are clean and neat. The staff are lovely and we hope to go back for a third and fourth and fifth time......and beyond. Lovely food in the cafe and a really delicious range of fresh seafood to grill on the BBQ. Thank you Cyndy, Emily Besaga and all the staff. We hope to see you soon!

Port Barton's best accommodations. Amazing food for breakfast and dinner, quiet location, and friendly staff who will go out of their way to help. Beachfront location and low prices that you can't beat. Will definitely be back!

Our experience here was great. It’s right on the water and I slept and woke up to the sound of crashing waves. There is no a/c but there is a fan in the room that kept us plenty cool and sleeping at night was quite comfortable. During the day when during their “brown outs” can be dreadful when it’s super hot outside but we didn’t mind it much because we were outdoors most of the time. The hammocks were a nice touch.

The food at the restaurant right by the cottages is so yummy! Definitely recommend their pancakes especially the blueberry one. Best fluffy pancakes I ever had! Their coffee mugs are massive. There is only wifi in their restaurant area as well.

I love all the dogs on the property too. Nice well behaved dogs. It might not be the cleanest place but we appreciated the true island feel that this cottage had. Would love to go back someday!

I found Besaga's on the beachfront while I was relaxing and taking in the morning. My friend and I decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was very beautiful and the breakfast was amazing! We had 2 pancakes with eggs, bacon, ham, homemade Hungarian sausage, and potatoes. The coffee was not as good, but that's ok. The wait staff was very friendly and courteous. I would definitely go there again.

We stayed here for one night. The service was excellent and the room was lovely. It was clean and cool. It was right on the beach, with a lovely view. The beach in front of the accommodation is clean and there are enough places to shelter in the shade. Stay here if you visit Port Barton!
