To begin, it must be said the actual property is nice, basic but does the job and is in a great location as the beach is only a 1 minute walk away. When we first arrived, we were made to read rules of the property, fair enough however this felt quite aggressive and forced into our faces. I first got a glimpse of Yoskes real character when, before starting to read the rules, I bent down to say hello to his dog, and he made a rude comment about how I should be reading the rules. Our stay was absolutely wonderful but had been tainted by our experience at Yoskes Garden of Eden. There was a strange feeling of discomfort that was created by him from the first day by doing things such as shouting at local children, making rude comments about how we had a lie in on one day and by speaking obnoxiously loud outside our room early in the mornings, however we got on with our stay there and ignored it. On our last night, we got home from dinner and were just going to sleep when we were shaken by the sound of someone trying to open our door and then our window at around 9.30 PM. Luckily we had locked all of these. As two young girls, we were a bit taken aback and didn’t react quickly enough to see anyone. One of us went and asked Yoske, who was sat in the restaurant nearby chatting, if he had seen anyone trying to get in, our door is visible from the restaurant. He then came over and told us we must be wrong and making it up in our heads. However we BOTH heard the exact same noise, we were absolutely certain someone tried to open the door and then the window, it was perfectly obvious. Unfortunately Yoske made us feel stupid and even more scared, and we certainly knew that, despite being the owner of the place, he was not someone we could go to for help if anything else happened. He even tried to say it might have been his dog, a small shitzu?! We know for sure that this dog couldn’t open the window or the door as it doesn’t have opposable thumbs, and also couldn’t reach. HA. We tried to settle down and hope that the person had just left as everything was locked. However about half an hour later we heard a massive thud come from the ceiling, followed by some rattling that sounded like something was dropped above us. Our room has a slight loft that is accessible from outside the room. This freaked us out and we left to walk around the outside of our room to see what was going on and if it could have been a staff member next door. However, we couldn’t see that there was anyone around. Foe the next few hours our eyes were glued to the latch that was linked to our room and the loft above. The room had no signal or WIFI so we were feeling extremely trapped, no thanks to Yoskes treatment of us. After a few hours passed and we started to doze off, we heard again the same big thud from above us, this startled and woke us at around 2AM and we jumped to our feet. This was shortly followed by the sound of something hitting the window as though someone was climbing past the window of the bathroom at the back. We then turned on all the lights, including the outside porch so we could see. This left us feeling incredibly scared and vulnerable, we were thankful that our doors and windows were locked securely and luckily there were no more disturbances. It could have gone a lot worse. As we checked out in the morning, Yoske barely looked at us or asked how we were after last nights scare, we hadn’t told him about the rest of what happened as he made it clear to us he wasn’t interested and didn’t believe us. We left the keys and he muttered bye. His treatment to us was disgusting. Reading the reviews, it seems he picks and chooses who he wants to be nice to. And you can tell by his replies to people’s bad reviews on booking.com the kind of person he is, wish we had read the bad reviews before booking. This experience has effected us massively.

My family consists of members who either would love to try other dishes or those who would never eat something foreign to them. Yosek recommended specific dishes for each one's personality. Surprisingly, everyone gives a thumbs up after enjoying their meal. Could they give a review of the clean and safe rooms we had, the neatly maintained dining area with a garden nearby, what would top most is the welcoming and friendly conversation time spent with Yosek. Hoping to bring friends next time convinced that my family enjoyed not just our island hopping at Port Barton but they found his place a home to go back to our next family holiday. See you again Yosek. :-)

Good value for money. If you love Jewis Fridays and you do not mind a morning orchestra of cocks, this is your place to stay. See instagram for pictures or youtube for video of Philippines - Palawan - Port Barton.

Good location, about 10 minutes by foot from the van station and 2 minutes from the beach. Very cute dogs living there. Can't complain about anything, Yoske was very flexible when we wanted to extend our stay for one night. It's cheaper of you go there and pay cash compared to booking.com

The host is pretty rude, with every encounter he will belittle you and overheard him yell at guests. The food doesn’t have the highest of prices, but is really reflected in the sizes of the plates. Which is pretty cheap, and you really notice how he will try to suck every peso he can from you

This place transformer the experience from a way point along the way, to one of the places we enjoyed the most. We stopped at Port Barton to split the ride from El Nido to Puerto Princesa, and only for a day. Yossi had our best interest, from making sure we get on time to see the sunset, to tailored fit a trip that will get the most with the time we have. He juggled to make sure our experience would be the best, and whatever it takes.

We arrived to yoske's place at late evening time and he took good care of us. He gave us very good room. Clean and comfortable with the best shower I have ever had in the Philippines. The food in the restaurant was amazing. I'm really recommend you to come and enjoy the place. Good location. Good food and very good people.

The rooms were okay, the situation is not bad, I probably wouldn’t be so negativ about my stay there if there wouldn’t be the owner. At first he seems friendly « doing everything for his clients » but after 2 seconds he indirectly complaints about the fact of getting up at 10 in the evening to welcome new guests plus made rude and irrespectful comments which you don’t do in front of your clients..
