Our times at Charity Homestay was one we won't remember. We were in Port Barton April 2020, when the Corona crisis just started. We had just booked a room when the total lockdown of the village was announced. It was all quite stressful and we were totally absorbed by what was happening. From the moment we were guest at Charity homestay, she and her whole family mad us feel welcome and taken care off. This only intensified when the Corona lockdown started. She made sure we had enough food, that we were doing well and stayed in contact with us. They also arranged and prepared a lovely dinner for all the guests so we could get to know them and each other more. I can't thank them enough for the care they gave us.

Other than that: I loved the Homestay. The little kitchen is also great and the fact they have a little shop where you can get a lot of stuff is very convenient.

Hi there,

This message is mostly aimed to the owners of this guesthouse. Me and my friend stayed here in March and corona was getting pretty intense. We ended up getting stuck in Port barton with a lot of uncertainty if we would make it home. You guys cooked for us, got us groceries and treated us like family. Being in the right spot as we where the comfort you gave us kept us going. I can't begin to describe what this meant for us and just want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We made it home safe in the end and wish you all the best.

Much love from the Netherlands,

Ischa and Edmee

Had a fabulous time at Charity's place and loved Port Barton. We were a group of 4 friends so had the cottage to ourselves. Cottage was clean, bright and cool. The fans were excellent and the windows had very good mosquito covering so you could keep the windows open. Charity and her husband were an absolute delight and couldn't do enough for us. We booked a private boat tour with them which was fantastic and very reasonable along with the bus to our next destination which was El Nido. We booked for 3 days and extended for another 1, just wish we'd had more time and would have stayed longer. The cottage is a 5 minute walk to the bus station and 5-7 mins to the beach/bars and restaurants. We enjoyed the authenticity of Charity's place and the fact that it had no wifi didn't bother us at all. Great value and highly recommend.

We were a group of 4 friends so we could enjoy a little cottage for ourselves which was provided with a bathroom , small kitchen, a hammock , 2 bedrooms and a courtyard with two tables with chairs.
The house was clean and the they gave us towels.
The host was kind and helpful even if they tried every time to sell us tours, ferries and activities of port Barton.
The homestay is in the whereabouts of port Barton but the internet signal is worse than in the center of the village .
