The location is great, only 700 meters from the beach. Run by a Frenchman and his Filipino wife, this place is quite ideal if you don’t spend much time indoors (which is expected for a visit to Port Barton), because the rooms are small. Made of bamboo (pleasant), with a mattress on the floor and a mosquito net suspended from the ceiling (if you wish to drop it down), the room has a modern bathroom attached. There is a nice open eating place on the front where breakfast and meals are served. Food is good, the staff are very courteous and the owners personally oversee your needs. Mention must be made of the water shortage in Port Barton (for that matter in all of Palawan) and the taps were often dry. A big drum of water in the bathroom for such an emergency would really help matters. The owners and staff were very helpful in arranging for transportation, be it a Trishaw for local Commute or a rental car for transit to Puerto Princesa. I would recommend a stay there…

Our family rented two bungalows from Angels Hautz for three nights. We were generally happy with the place and would use it again. The rooms are small and simple, but clean. The place is not directly on the beach, which makes it quite inexpensive.

Me and my friend booked two nights here at Angels Hautz Resort and ended up staying for four. The rooms are simple but the whole place has a very relaxing vibe to it. And hey, you will not spend much time in your room anyway when you are in this beautiful city! Check out the pictures!!!! Some from the beach only a five minutes walk away, some from a nearby waterfall and some from boat trip number A, which the staff helped us book and arrange. The staff here is amazing! So welcoming and attentive to us and very helpfull. Me and my friend unfortunately lost our money on our last day in Port Barton, and there is no ATM in this city, but the staff were kind enough to make sure we had some food and arranged for the van to El Nido to make a stop at an ATM on our way there. Thank you so much for a lovely stay! I will return here sometime for sure😊 Oh. And also.. the breakfast is amazing! And they serve real coffee not only nescafé! …

The family (Filipino&French) that manages this small hotel with few cabins and a great restaurant can't be more charming. They made us feel at home, always smiling and attentive to whatever we needed. It is a quiet, simple place like 90% of the accommodations in Port Barton and with the deficiencies common to all of them (power outages, bad Wi-Fi, or no hot water). Never expect 5 stars in this small village that precisely attracts visitors because it has not yet suffered the huge tourist development that has destroyed the charm of other places such as El Nido. Dare to try the genuinely Filipino food of its restaurant, delicious. A very nice place to even have a few beers at a good price. Highly recommended.
