My daughter and sister stayed here in February 2020. My daughter had a medical emergency . The owner and staff went out of their way to help them. They made sure my daughter and sister got to the hospital in the main island in a timely manner. Thanks much owner and staff of Mermaid Paradise Resort. We appreciate your help and superb customer service.

Stayed here for 3 nights and loved the beach, some of the best sunsets you will see anywhere. So quiet and you can have the beach pretty much to yourself. Yes the location isn’t close to Port Barton itself and is either a boat ride or bike ride away but as long as you are aware of that and happy to pay extra for the transport in and out then this is a good place for a quiet, peaceful few days in Port Barton. Would suggest 2-3 days here is enough. The ladies who run the place are very helpful and welcoming and rooms are spacious and clean. They also have paddle board and kayaks available to use. Would recommend if you are looking for somewhere away from the crowds and just want a few days to chill out.

It was our first time to visit Philippines. Started low, means no much expectations and having a peaceful days. Yes, Mermaid is perfect for that. But! The rooms are not that they show. After arriving we had a room with twinbead. ok. But the washroom floor was totally wet from leaking waterpipe. Argued to have another room next day (so did others we heard). But had it! Islandhopping is the main issue. The boss (Jeffrey?) was not interested in arranging anything. So we had to make and arrange our trips by ourselves (asking other guests). Also the bosses wife told us, when asking hopping, that he was too drunk to do anything🙄. Luckily we got other guests to go. The place is nice and peacefull (allthough roosters startimg their 'singing' at 3.30am!). Electricity worked 24/7, but water did not. We had water (shower, toilete etc ) only occasionally Use only botled water for drinking. Transport is an issue too! Afterall, a nice place, but....
