We stayed for 4 nights and everything was perfect. The owners (Tracy and Kyle), really made things easy and well organized for us. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. Cabanas are perfect for couples and always clean. We really enjoyed our stay. We can’t wait to go back to Siargao and stay again at SOULTRIBE.
This resort has plenty to offer- a quiet white sand beach, great accommodations and hosts, friendly staff, and tasty meals. It’s a few minutes away from General Luna but it’s the distance that makes the world of difference. Tracy and Kyle are fantastic! Hope to be sooner than later.
We stayed here for a week. We requested to stay at cabana 1 because of the sea view. However, it was booked for three days so they checked us in at cabana 4 and transferred us to cabana 1 for the rest of the week. We had a relaxing stay at Soultribe for a week but here are the things that we think should get fixed/improved. - Foul odor of the water from the faucet and shower - Shower - low water pressure and showerhead needs to be replaced - Old pillow covers - We find it uncomfortable to sleep bec the foams used are for single bed and they just put it together to make it look like it’s king sized. Sometimes we end up sleeping in the middle of two foam beds. - Bed sheets with holes and stains - Black ants on the toilet bowl EVERYDAY. (Cabana 1 &4) - AC is not working properly. It’s hot at night even when it’s already at 16 deg - Price is too much considering that it is not in General Luna - No breakfast included. (They have breakfast menu with few options.) - Wifi signal is limited. ***Also, we felt a vibe that the owner doesn’t treat or entertain guests equally. There was a time when she was talking to a group of foreigners (btw she’s not a Filipino) and we tried to mingle but the way she talked to us was different. After a few minutes, she acted like we weren’t there and continued talking to the other guests. She doesn’t even smile when you bump into her anywhere at Soultribe. Anyway, I would still recommend this place if you are looking for a place to gather your thoughts and keep your mind at peace. They have courteous staff that would attend to your needs. Thank you to Nicole who checked us in smoothly. They clean the rooms daily. Paddle boards are free to use. Since we stayed there for a week, they charged us for the rent of a motor bike for 350/day which was supposed to be 400php/day. They conduct community dinners twice a week and you could also invite friends but it’s 750php per pax.…
We booked SoulTribe Retreat for its good reviews. And actually when we arrived there we are overwhelmed by the beautiful ambiance. It feels like we are in the middle of the jungle doing camping. Our glamping tent is amazing 😉. Toilets and shower rooms are for sharing and its okey since its clean. You can see drinking water dispenser everywhere in the resort. There are some concerns that i need to share for those who are planning to book in the resort. Anyway, thank you for accommodating us for 3 nights. Pos: Glamping tent is good Cozy ambiance Daily make up room Cons: 1. Water from the faucet smells like mud/canal and it stays with your body for a long period of time 2. Community Dinner service we avail is incomplete. And we didn’t hear any explanation from the staff the reason. If its about the weather, i believe the weather is good enough to have a bonfire. -no bonfire -no marshmallow 3. Our outdoor chair suddenly disappear. If the staff use it then they should ask permission from us. The next morning i asked the staff to have it back to us and she did. 4. Misinformation- why? When we arrived at the resort the staff in charge in the reception area said that they don’t have a shower heater, and for the past 2 days of our stay no heater at all and on our 3rd day after the tour we took shower and we are surprised that the shower actually has a heater 🤔 Overall its okey to stay in this resort. …
We loved the location of SoulTribe - just out of the centre of General Luna and away from the hustle and bustle. The beach is pretty and the addition of SUP boards to use for free at high tide is a nice touch. Our Cabana was lovely, the bed was comfortable and the view onto the sea was lovely. The resort is light up like a Christmas tree at night so don't expect the rooms to be pitch black. I'd be pretty annoyed having Cabana 3/4 as they a closer to the road which might disturb people. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed the menu. Breakfast was fresh and delicious (it would be better if it was included in the room price) and lunch was fantastic. The veg curry was excellent, Adobo chicken very impressive, the hummus very good indeed! The staff in the kitchen brilliant, housekeeping brilliant and the majority of the front of house staff were lovely too. That said one lady who wore a bucket hat wasn't the most friendly and needs to be a bit more approachable! The most irritating thing was the noise from road works and the constant repetitive must from a local building site. It was horrible. The music started at 0530 and finished at 2300. It was always the same songs on repeat and was really disruptive....I was considering giving our stay 3 stars because of that but its not the venues fault! Overall it was a nice stay, a bit pricey but lovely for a few nights.…
