This Motel was easy to find, well maintained with modern amenities, a pub with good food next door. The bathroom was very generous as was the shower with plenty of hot water. What else would someone like to have when just staying overnight?
A microwave oven would be good, however can understand that manager probably doesn't want guests to cook in rooms. Coffee mugs are very small and there are no knives to cut cheese (or plates) etc. The motel is a great place to stay, large room, good lighting and good desk (which I use for my computer and printer).
Stayed at the Hunter Gateway for a return visit, the rooms were spacious, clean and well presented. The servicing of the room was outstanding. Check in and check out very easy and we are certain to return for another visit.
Check in was super easy and we were welcomed by a friendly staff member. Plenty of onsite parking. We booked the deluxe king rooms. Not all rooms have the terrace looking out to the grass. (In fact our ‘view from room’ isn’t pictured on their site) Our room had its little courtyard looking onto a brick wall, which was fine, but when first opening up the room and sliding door I was a little disappointed. It was however great to get some fresh air into the room; although I didn’t consider the mozzies and shut the door when the first two made an entrance. The room was spotless. The bed was beautifully made. I did find the mattress sagged and so I didn’t sleep well, waking with a sore back and sat in the bathroom watching Netflix on my laptop at 3am. My husband found the pillows…
Clean, neat, tidy and affordable. Only stayed for one night but would gladly rebook and stay longer if needed again. Staff members were extremely friendly. Room was certainly affordable and close to all local shops and food :)
