My family stayed here for a weekend getaway to DC. The hotel is located in Woodmore Towne Center. Many shops, restaurants, Wegmans and Costco, made it very convenient for our family! We arrived in the late evening and warmly greeted by Robin who checked us in and gifted us bottled water. Our room was very spacious, which is was great for our kids. Breakfast was your standard Hampton Inn breakfast. Our only small complaint was the sausage patties tasted like there were boiled in water and refill was a bit slow. Fitness center and pool are directly across from each other. My kids enjoyed and loved splashing around. We were always greeted when we left and returned back to the hotel. Overall, we had a great stay and would return here in the future!

Our only negative complaint was the young adults/children running wild in the hallway, slamming their room doors and being loud after quiet hours on our first night. We did let the front desk know the next morning and they did apologize and let us know that group had checked out that morning. While it’s not necessarily the hotel’s fault, i just feel if my kids learn to respect that quiet hours are from 11pm-6am, whoever was responsible for those young adults/kids should have enforced that with their group. We came in late on our first night and just wanted to sleep.

We stayed at this hotel with family for a visit to Washington D.C. of 3 days.
Located 30 minutes from the National Mall and the Museum area, it was a good choice highlighting the relationship between price and quality that the place offers. The hotel is very neat and clean, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast that is included is very good and quite varied. It has free parking and is surrounded by several supermarkets, restaurants, clothing and technology stores such as Best Buy. The hotel also offers a fitness center, laundry room and internal swimming pool. I recommend it for a short stay in the city.

Me and my family have business in the area, so have stayed here 4 different times within the last 6 months, and this has been our experience, and feel that despite its prime location to where we need to go, we may just have to find somewhere else and drive a little extra because it has become more of a pain than it is worth. Here is out experience

The Good: Prime location, and the rooms have been clean with some extras such as a mini fridge, and a microwave. Sheets are clean, and beds comfortable.

The So-So: The door to the bathroom is literally just a slider that doesn't latch shut. It is not a huge problem, but can make people uncomfortable because there is no way to lock it. TV is fine with a basic cable package, good enough to catch the news or watch a game.

The Bad: Have had a bad experience with one staff member in particular. You will know who it is when you check in because he has always been unfriendly, even before we had a small mishap. On one occasion we ran late checking out, so were charged a $20 fee, which is not a big deal, and paid it. We weren't thrilled about it, but understood that yes it was our fault, and went about our day. But what struck us as rude was the response from the man working at the desk. We were simply told that we had to pay it and that was that. Normally I would think that a more tactful approach would be appropriate, but whatever, not the end of the world and moved on. Coming back 2 or 3 weeks later that same man is checking us in, but this time he has a surprise in store. An automatic hold of $50 that is only refunded 5-7 days after check out. Wait what, this was our 4th time staying at the hotel and now all of a sudden there is a hold, suspicious to say the least. When asking if they have to take a hold and why it can't be returned when we checked out, or perhaps the day after. No explanation just the quote "If you don't pay it I can't check you in." So begrudgingly we did. I am not saying this one particular employee is out to get us, and is sitting in the back room wringing his hands, glad to stick it to us because of some perceived slight, but it sure seems convenient that this charge is now in place. I don't know if they would charge us again because we will not be returning for a 5th time.

One other very annoying trend is their room keys not working. Out of the 4 times we have stayed we have received 8 room keys (2 per stay) and out of those 8 an astounding 5 of them have just not worked at all. Including both keys we received the day of our final check in with the surprise $50 hold. Once again, not saying it was necessarily on purpose, but it was just the final straw on an already tenuous arrangement.

As a solopreneur, I needed a quiet workspace for a week to complete a project. Although the holiday weekend was bustling with activity, it was overall a great option and cheaper than an airbnb. Breakfast is included. Healthy food options next door at Wegmans. Plus many eateries and shopping within the Woodmore plaza. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, modern, super clean. Comfortable desk and chair. The staff were friendly and professional. I would recommend it for families as well due to the pool and close distance to sightseeing in Washington, DC/Annapolis. Near Metro stations and Amtrak.

Staff was not welcoming. I travel a lot and I often stay at Hampton Inn when I can. Usually staff recognizes me as a gold member and offers me water, etc. all I got was a gruff, “Keep your mask on when you are in the lobby!” More staff is needed in the breakfast area. Tables were not wiped off and the coffee bar had a lot of trash. I was told to put dirty towels outside my door so housekeeping will know I need more. I have NEVER been told that from hotel staff! And it didn’t work-I did not get fresh towels. My room, however, seemed very clean and comfortable. I liked the four pillows with different firmness.

Stayed here in May and chose it again for November clearly it’s a newer or updated hotel so it’s nice and bright and clean. I mostly use the app and don’t interact with the staff but find them pleasant when I do. Complimentary breakfast was a little different each day and there were several things to choose from. Hotel was within easy walking distance to Wegmans/Costco and lots of other stores. There is a pool but we never checked it out. This time we slept on the back side of the hotel so we were able to hear cars from the highway because we come from a more rural area we are not accustomed to traffic but it certainly didn’t keep us awake.

There are a lot of foods places to walk to. The hotel is modern and clean. The hotel is conveniently located near a couple major roads even though the traffic isn’t heard from the room. And the free parking is a great amenity.

My wife and I planned this trip months ago having never been to the area. We could not have picked a better place to stay. The Hampton in Glenarden was perfect for location and accommodations. It was very close to Fedex Field and DC with anything you wanted eat within walking distance.
It helped to make our trip fantastic!

From the time I was headed in and could not find my way the representative at the front desk was quite helpful in guiding me to the facility for which I am extremely thankful. Both representatives were warm and hospitable to all who entered and all who they were assisting. It was a welcoming and convivial environment. You will truly feel comfortable here!
