The hotel manager was very accommodating to our needs with our vehicles. The hotel staff overall was super friendly. The rooms were clean and the accommodations within walking distance of the hotel were great! By far Brooke was the most helpful and kind in our stay for several weeks!
First hotel stay since COVID pandemic started. We came for three days. Hampton Inn is our go to hotel chain. We stayed in room 228 with two queens. Not much of a view. Comfortable room. Breakfast is a cold box of food. Not too crazy about that. The location is really great. We did a bunch of day trips to see historical sights and water views. TJ Maxx is across the main road from the hotel, also Aldi, Walmart, Starbucks. Our favorite place to eat was a few minutes down the road in the old historical part of Gloucester, called Olivia in the Village.
I highly recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites in Gloucester, VA. Location is great for shopping, restaurants, etc. Staff are friendly, helpful, and interested in the service they are providing. The breakfast is outstanding - clean dining area, food service area, and the food is great. We spent nine wonderful days and nights in this Hotel. Highly recommended.
We arrived in Gloucester for a family visit. The staff was excellent from ease of check in, directions, and check out. The little things were noted. A staff member even left the front desk to hold the back door open on departure (6am). Lobby, hall, and room smelled CLEAN.
A bit disappointing. Upon checking in I was not offered the complimentary water for being a member....had to ask for it. When we arrived at our room I had to ask the cleaning staff for towels...there was only one bath towel. The shower is horrible: only one very small shelf to accommodate all shower essentials...no shelves to put shampoo, conditioner, etc...; water pressure is horrible; no ventilation in the bathroom. Room is just "ok." A bit outdated. Breakfast was the standard eggs and waffles. Fresh fruit and oatmeal. Staff was pleasant. Hotel was clean. For a Hilton chain I would expect better. Probably will not return.
Great customer service. They always have a smile on their face to welcome you back. They make you feel like you’re at home. If you are unsatisfied woth anything they go above and beyond to unmake sure it’s fixed
We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Gloucester, VA Hampton Inn. The room was clean and spacious. The location of our room made it very easy to come and go as we needed. The breakfast was simple yet very appreciated. The star was friendly and very accommodating. We plan to visit again!
Friendly staff, clean room, WiFi, breakfast was great. The room was set up nicely. Large bathroom with walk-in shower was great. Room was a little pricey but I was well pleased after seeing the room. I’ll come back.
Have stayed here for many years. Property not as good after rehab except for microwave and refrigerators in all the room. No hot water both mornings and no milk for breakfast one morning. Plan to stay across the river next time.
The staff were pleasant and friendly. The place was clean and quiet. Most guest were not wearing masks. Buffet style Breakfast was the standard fair at aT a Hampton Inn. Everything was good how expected it to be. Why I picked a Hampton in further away from our destination rather than an unknown closer to our destination.
