It really is a warm, friendly hotel with comfortable rooms and great ambience. We enjoyed sitting in the bar lounge downstairs in the evenings. The outside pool was also great to swim in and the cliff top walk nearby well worth the effort!
Lovely hotel over looking the beach,we stayed in a delux balcany room which was lovely clean and comfy, great bed and telly ,perfect room for a weeks stay.breakfast staff and food were lovely,a fab choice was on offer.
We stayed at the hotel on a weeks road trip this was the best hotel we stayed in on the trip friendly staff fabulous breakfast lovely room views across the beach and the hotel grounds wonderful warm pool so relaxing would highly recommend
Thankyou for having us. The hotel itself is very good, the pool lovely and warm, the breakfast excellent, and beds comfortable. The staff run the show though, the housekeeping are so friendly, energetic and generous with their hot chocolate! Restaurant staff attentive and generous in portions also. The reception were accommodating when I asked to add a night on to our stay, and sorted everything else. Special mention to Rachel on the desk, she warmly greeted us first thing in the morning (as a receptionist I know how tired you must be at that time and it's hard to get up to speed quickly). You are a credit to the company and the little small talk is the difference in this job. Two small negatives-please update swimming times on your website, and we would have paid for dinner if it was available - but I understand why it's presently not. Adam…
Great room, good breakfast, helpful staff. Immaculately clean and tidy. I always worry a little bit about booking a Best Western branded hotel as they can be so variable, but this is an excellent one.
Good location but advice on the rooms up the steep stairs would have been useful. Hotel needs to reopen its Resturant which previously had a good rep but has been closed. Needs to be open as there aren’t many good options near by.
We stayed for a week at the Porth Velor villa overlong the gardens and with great views of the surrounding areas plus distant Porth beach we were high above. The villa had everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Dish washer, microwave, oven. Modern decor very clean. Ours was one bedroom plus a sofa Bed in lounge, two TV sets. Downstairs toilet and walk in shower plus toilet upstairs. Parking slot for villa a walk up a slope to house. Can use bar and small pool which was very sheltered (used twice) as heated which with the mixed weather we had one needed. These were at the hotel you could have breakfast at hotel but not dine in the eve, which was a shame. Nice helpful staff. I would recommend to couples and also I think there are two bedrooms villas as well plus apartments and accommodation around the small pool. We liked the views sitting on our terrance weather conditions permitting.…
Where do I start, Absolutely brilliant hotel, the staff are super efficient and very friendly the room was spotless with a stunning view, shower very good, plenty of tea coffee biscuits, the bed linen was very good quality and the bed was lovely .The pool was probably the nicest part after a long days work and driving,to be able to get in the warm ,quiet, pool,I was the only one in there, was the best stress buster you could get!! Anybody in Cornwall on business who normally stays in a premier inn, book this instead, it wins hands down and is worth the 15 mins off the A30, the breakfast was of the highest quality served in the nicest surroundings you could wish for with lovely sea views. 11 out of 10, a magical hotel that I'm lucky to have found, and will definitely be returning with the family…
Third time we have stayed at Porth Veor, last two being in the hotel itself rather than the self catering accommodation. Once again we were treated exceptionally well by all members of staff, who really go the extra mile to ensure a pleasurable stay. We will return.
Well positioned for trips out around Cornwall. Helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Lovely area, great for exploring and walking. Beach is around the corner. Can walk over the cliffs to either Newquay, or Watergate Bay, both easily reachable. Will stay again.
