We were booked into our accomodation for 6 nights and after 3 left the accommodation after a horrible experience (without refund for the final 3 nights) Firstly the photos are old - the place is run down and the outdoor climbing course is in bits - our children couldn’t go near it. The maid went through our things - Claudia even told us they had been through our stuff to check on what we had been up to. We booked a suite. After using the cooking facilities in the suite, we were slipped a letter by the cleaner stating that now we had to pay for cooking facilities and a cleaning fee for the kitchen in our suite. When I went to speak to Claudia I was abused, screamed at, threatened and We decided to leave as we felt unsafe, uncomfortable and shaken. No where on the confirmation or booking did it state that we had to pay to use the cooking facilities in the room. There were no cleaning fees mentioned anywhere so this was a shock! When we checked in Roberto even showed us the kitchen to use. We were charged €24 for using the utensils and a €40 fee for cleaning. I paid this as I felt threatened as Claudia started taking photos of me and threatening me. Then they started listing that we would be charged for tea bags, toilet paper, towels etc! We are horrified at the way Claudia spoke to myself and then my husband. She then proceeded to check other guests in as we were leaving telling them all about how we were disgusting guests adding to the stress and fear of this hostile environment. Our two small children were terrified! We were told that we HAD to eat in their restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Again another shock as this was not anywhere on the booking! We had spent two of the three nights in the restaurant, the one night we cooked it was closed!!! Long story short - as I’ve read in other reviews they are nice as pie when you check in and then start adding charges to your credit card and turn nasty once you’re there. Please stay somewhere else or your Italian trip will be completely ruined like ours was.…
We stayed here on the first night of a cycling holiday. Parco Fiorito is an agriturismo hotel. We had a nice room with a huge bed a cool terracotta tiled floor. There’s also a large swimming pool with recliners and a spa (neither of which we used). It’s set in a pretty valley just south of Cortona. But the best part is the food and the welcome from the owner, Claudia. We had an antipasti of meats, cheeses and jam. The meat and jam was their own and it was excellent, the sausage and ham melting in our mouths. We then had pasta dishes, rigatoni and ravioli, both absolutely delicious. And the local wine was good too. For breakfast next morning, the croissants were very good (I’ve often been disappointed by Italian croissants), Claudia’s home made cakes and jams excellent, as was the grape juice. So overall highly recommended. …
Roberto, his daughter and staff make everyone feel welcome. The food and wine is all grown on premises and meals are homemade and delicious. Roberto takes a personal interest in all his guests. The pool and spa is refreshing, the massages heavenly. After the crowds of Rome, Florence & Pisa, this is the place to relax and recharge your batteries.
Wonderful agri hotel deep in the Tuscan countryside. Roberto and Claudia do a fantastic job. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The whole family are so warm and friendly, they make you feel part of their home. The food is stunningly good. Excellent pool and fitness facilities.
Absolutely not a 4 stars hotel; impolite and unprofessional service, from welcome to departure; at arrival, before even showing the rooms, the host “introduced” himself by claiming an extra of 14 euros per day for the air conditioning (booking.com kindly offered to pay the amount and to settle the dispute as air conditioning was included already in the contract). The apartment was very dusty, the couch dirty, unpaired and old clattery, fridge not working properly (the freezer could not even keep cold an ice-cream), overall leaving an unpleasant decadent feeling. We also had a dinner there and absolutely not worth the price (38 euro for 4 courses); a part from the own produced “organic” ingredients, courses are very cheaply cooked and served in small quantity dishes with a large dose of “funny comments” close to arrogance. Last but not least a regular payment bill for the dinner was printed only after formal complain: iwhat he provided at a first instance against payment was a piece of paper stabbed in a brochure of the hotel with no legal value. In summary, booking.com rating is strongly misleading for this hotel as the quality of the service offered is far below the average of the other hotels proposed. Anyway if you really want to live the surreal experience, I would suggest to check at least that taxes are paid “controllare regolare emissione di scontrino fiscale”…
