It's good that Mohale Oa Masite Lodge is as great as it is because, well, it's the only accommodation in Thaba-Tseka--at least to my knowledge. The staff was super friendly, the room was clean and comfortable (and equipped with a mini fridge and heater), breakfast is included (and features eggs, sausage, fruit, toast, beans, and more), and it's walking distance from a few little shops and a pizza restaurant. The only slightly lame aspect--but also understandable considering we're talking about Lesotho--is that Wifi doesn't work in the rooms. It does, however, work just fine in the lobby/restaurant.
I would HIGHLY recommend this B & B to anyone. The staff & management are amazing & accommodating. We got stranded in the snow & the town was without electricity but they made it work. Food was good, the rooms clean. We arrived late but we where helped promptly & without a reservation due to the snow storm. This is one place I would not mind getting snowed in again.
This is the place to be when visiting Thaba Tseka./ I stayed here for a seven week period between February and end of March 2018 and was able to 'test' the hotel in all its moods. It passed with flying colours! What made it special were the two ingredients that make any hotel special: a friendly courteous staff; and comfortable, well appointed bedrooms. This was very much a home from home.
I stayed here for 5 nights while working in Thaba Tseke. The room was clean, comfortable and a good size. It even had its own fridge. There was quite a lot of noise created mainly by the staff who seemed to like watering the plants at 5am so it wasn’t the most restful stay. The breakfast was of but it did feel as thought the staff were worried about you stealing the cutlery as they kept a constant watch which was a little unnerving at times.
We booked Mohale Oa Masite Lodge for just one night. We arrived quite late. However, everything was fine. The ladies in the kitchen prepared a delicious dinner for us. The breakfast was good and everything was working. 10 years ago Thaba Tseka was an almost empty place. It developed so fast it is just crazy... thank you to the staff! Everything was fine!
