Perfect. Prima. Puik.

If you are in Montenegro, you must book with Explore Skadar Lake - staying here is like you happen to have a Montenegrin best friend to stay with, who also decided to spend all of his time showing you everything he loves about his country and catering to your every whim. Agritourism is a common concept in Italy and this is really the only one we could find in Montenegro! Marko, who runs Explore Skadar Lake, was our personal tour guide, historian, sommelier, driver, translator and everything else for the three days we stayed with him. He drove us all around the perimeter of Skadar Lake, stopping to see the most break taking views as well as hikes to ancient villages that dot the "goras" (something between a mountain and a hill!) that carpet the country. We also took a leisurely cruise around the lake in a boat skippered by Marko, where he explained all of the local wildlife and plants, as well as historical spots like monasteries, a prison, and fishing villages. He's also a skilled photographer so you'll have lots of gorgeous shots to bring home. Your apartment has a private terrace to eat your meals m, which were cooked by Marko's mom and were by far the best meals we had in the country. You're also ensconced in his family's grapevines and other fruit trees. It's spectacular. Your friends will be jealous Also of note, Marko's English is flawless (even if he doesn't think so) so you will have no trouble communicating.
