Calico Jack's is a jungle lodge located in the small and remote farming village of El Progresso, in the vicinity of the Mt. Pine Ridge area of Cayo District in Belize, Central America. We have a full service restaurant and bar also offering internet and cable TV. Guests praise our excellent and relatively affordable meals featuring local, vegetarian and vegan cuisine. We also offer cozy villas for families and couples with 2 -3 bedroom units with 2-3 bathrooms including kitchenettes, A/C and cable TV and loft rooms for couples and singles. My family of four (boys ages 10 and 13) stayed here for five nights and it was incredible. From the minute we arrived we were warmly greeted and the amazing hospitality continued our entire trip. Maria set up all our excursions, which were unbelievable, and cooked the most delicious food. Rigoberto and Julio were so friendly and helpful and really took time to get to know our family and share their knowledge about their beautiful country. Our accommodations in the villa we’re comfortable and clean and we had plenty of space to relax. I loved listening to the birds in the morning and relaxing in the hammock. My boys enjoyed swimming, playing games (they have soccer balls, “good mitten” large jenga, etc) and looking for jungle creatures. We made the trip to Calico Jack's for a day of adventure and zip-lining from Teakettle. Our family of 5 did the the biggest adventure package they offered with zip-lines and can't wait to go back again soon. Our guides took incredible care of us and always felt safe and secure. It was an unforgettable day and the highlight of our Spring Break.

The staff at Calico Jack's go our of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable! The food was excellent as was the Sun Villa we stayed in for 4 nights. Julio who took us to the caves had great knowledge on the birds/plants in the area and took the time to answer any questions we had.

This place really blew us away. We can't think of enough words to describe how amazing it was. The facilities are amazing, the villas are beautiful, the grounds are naturally stunning, the restaurant is amazing. You feel like you are in nature but also feel in luxury. By far the most amazing part is the staff, who are incredible. From Maria, the manager who does everything to make sure you are comfortable and happy to Rigo who was extra special to us. He genuinely wants to make you happy and feels like a friend straight away. This is what makes the place so magical. Our advice, don't just stay 1 or 2 nights. This place is best if you stay for longer. There is just so much to see, do and enjoy

The resort is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the Moon Temple, and it was everything that we needed, and more than comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our stay, had meals that accommodated our dietary restrictions, and made pick ups for our different tours so incredibly easy. The menu at the onsite restaurant had a large variety of options that were very reasonably priced, and everything we ordered was delicious. They grow much of their produce on property, everything was made fresh, and the staff walked around with us talking about the different plants/veggies/spices they were growing. We could not have been any happier! Loved this resort and the entire staff, and we would definitely stay there again.

This was our first time to Belize; we began our trip with a 4 day stay at Calico Jacks. Our stay was fantastic! Very comfortable, peaceful, and relaxing, with excellent food and the entire staff are simply amazing, everyone was so friendly! We spent a lot of time with Julio and he was very informative on tours, professional, and so fun to be around. :) If you like to see birds, there were plenty to see and photograph right on-site. Could not have been happier with our stay, thanks very much to the staff at Calico Jacks for a very memorable experience! :)

The CJV Extreme Ziplining experience is incredible! Rigo and Dennis were our guides and not only amazing guides, but also gave us a ton of great knowledge on the trees, plants and berries that could help in certain situations. The entire crew at this resort is REALLY GREAT! We will most definitely be bringing more of our friends and family here. And again, the Extreme ziplining was 100% worth every minute!! Do it!!!

Cannot say enough great things about Calico Jacks! Hospitality and service was amazing!! Maria had our days planned according to what we wanted to do including meals. Even the day we were going to be out for lunch, they sent delicious Belizean burritos with Julio who drove us on our expeditions.

We came expecting to have a great time. We didn't expect to be spoiled. This place is the perfect combination of flawless service and friendly local charm. From the welcoming flowers in our villa, to the delightful local fresh food. The rooms were always clean with fresh towels. Julio had games and marshmallows for us in the evening. The surprise anniversary party they thew for us, compete with cake, was over the top. We really can't say enough good things about this place. You need to come here.

you can stay almost anywhere and have a good time - what makes Calico Jack's so special is the exceptional staff Mama Maria, Elias and the rest of the team could not have been any more friendly, accommodating and helpful very cool location a bit off the beaten track, but that's what we were looking for - still close enough for all Cayo activities my only suggestion would be to rent a vehicle with 4-wheel drive, our minivan struggled a bit at times
