We stayed at Aporo this past weekend as a base for the Wearable Art show. The units are very comfortable and thoughtfully furnished and equiped. Cooked breakfasts were delivered to our unit and were delicious and generous. The hosts are charming yet respected our privacy and they know the region intimately. We were pleased to be staying in this quiet area yet close to Flax restaurant at Mapua and artists' studios and galleries in the area. The girls enjoyed rowing on the pond amongst the ducks. Very highly recommended.

We arrived at Aporo Ponsiders after a very long journey and from the moment we arrived, we knew we were someplace special. Apart from the lovely, quiet setting, what really makes this place amazing is the hospitality of the owner Marion. She was totally prepared for our young children's arrival, providing sand pails, lifejackets, and excellent suggestions to keep them occupied.
Our cottage was just the right size, with a living room/kitchen area and a separate bedroom. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast fixings are provided - eggs, yoghurt, cereal, milk, pastries, fruit, cheese, salami- and you can make your own at your leisure in the morning.
Location wise, it's an easy drive to Kaiteriteri beach (20 mins), Abel Tasman park, and other restaraunts & shopping- although the b&b itself is not within walking distance to anything- but that's why it's so quiet and peaceful!
Definitely 5 stars!

We thought that we'd landed in heaven when we looked out of the large picture window and saw a mirror pond. We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our 3 week trip in New Zealand (3 nights out of a 3 week hol seems to be the norm!).

Marian (one of the owners) was very welcoming and brought us a plate of snacks when we'd arrived upon hearing that we'd had a long journey from Rotorua. She also phoned a local restaurant to make sure that they were open before we made a special trip out.

The bed and breakfast accommodation is in an apartment/cottage style place overlooking the mirror pond. There are three of them and the one that we were in had one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen area had a microwave and a small hob, which was ideal for cooking a very basic meal on one of the nights that we were there.

There was also a fridge which was stocked with fresh milk and a complimentary bottle of wine, a lovely touch! There were other, local, wines for sale at a very reasonable price.

A very large continental style breakfast was brought to our cottage every morning at the time that we requested. The french pastries were divine, as was the fresh fruit salad. There was also yoghurt, wheat biscuits and granola - not forgetting the yummy fruit juices. There was an option of having cooked breakfast too, but for once we were trying to "be good"!

We spent 3 nights of our 3 week vacation at this unique B&B situated over a pond. The 3 room B&B is very quiet and located in a secluded spot. Lots of natural beauty right off your deck. The innkeeper is very friendly, helpful and serves a great breakfast. Would recommend it to anyone staying near Nelson.

We booked this lodge at short notice when our original booking elsewhere had to be cancelled courtesy of typhoon damage. We were so lucky to find it! The welcome from Margaret was smashing but the accommodation superseded all expectations: the location, view, facilities and room were all outstanding - the best of our 4 week trip. They had thought of everything: bath robes, fruit bowl, interesting art pieces. A wonderful eye for detail and immaculately done. All just stunning!! Thank you so much.

A really delightful property, consisting of three cottages on stilts over a very pretty large pond. Well equipped small kitchen area, lounge with large balcony, comfortable bed and good bathroom with underfloor heating. All very clean, with some nice additional touches such as fruit bowl, cookies and milk left in the fridge.
The owners were very friendly and helpful.
Convenient for Abel Tasman Park, we were delighted to have found this accommodation. We really enjoyed our peaceful stay.

Aporo Pondsiders is Pastoralic. Quiet and isolated. 10 minutes from city. 25 minutes to Abel Tasman NP. Big room very convenient with all what you might dream. Sitting in the balcony or waking up to hear the birds is magnificent. Very well equipped kitchen. Isolated bedroom. Simply perfect. The best place we found in New Zealand
