To warn other potential visitors, the owner of this hotel is most unpleasant. On arrival there is a notice on the door indicating that to check in, you must phone a number. No problem with that at all. I phoned the number, and no answer. A short while later I had a phone call back, from the owner, an American lady, which was about as rude and aggressive a phone call as I’ve had. A member of staff subsequently advised us that the owner had “issues”. She certainly does.
A beautifully restored village. Good restaurants and a charming hotel : l'Ancienne Auberge. The owner welcomed us warmly and even provided a special meal though it was Monday and no restaurant service. A lovely winter break in an unspoilt part of the Tarn.
Beautiful house/hotel/guest house. Such a location! So quiet and unique (and clean and everything else, ...) just opposite of the church. Also great trails to run in the beautiful Gresigne forest a few steps from the hotel. As someone said earlier, one of the best village to stay, for an intimate, romantic and magical stay in Occitanie.
L'Ancienne Auberge is an amazing medieval inn lovingly restored. The interior is stunning--contemporary yet retaining the ancient feel. The work and thoughtfulness that have have been poured into this place--obvious. Views are exceptional. Dorothee goes all in for guests. This was a fantastic first stop on my trip through south of France.
I went through Puycelci and loved it so much I went back and spent the night in this lovely hotel. Nice large well appointed hotel. Friendly Australian owners. Comfortable bed and nice decor in the room. I would go out way of my way to visit this gorgeous little village and this auberge. It's across the square from the church, so you will always know what time it is.
