On our first night we were awoken at 3am by a rat in our room. It was all over the table and chairs and climbed up the curtains. It almost jumped on the bed when we switched on the light! We called the front desk and we were told that they would send housekeeping to check. We waited for around 20 minutes but no one came. While waiting for the staff to arrive, I then noticed a big "tuko" (tokay gecko) crawling across the bathroom door! I then demanded to be transferred to another room. No apologies whatsoever from the front desk regarding the inconvenience. We waited outside at the veranda at 4am in the rain. No one came until they arrived to collect our luggage to transfer to another cottage. Poor customer service! We went to Bohol to see the marine life not the rats and the geckos.. LOL! …
Along with 2 friends, I stayed at Mithi Resort and Spa last June 5th to June 7th in one of their Deluxe Villas. Generally we had a great time thanks to the comfortable rooms, good food options and very friendly and assistive staff. The only but important negative aspect is a potential safety hazard. Mithi's private beach has seaweeds covering most of the seabed. While doing stand-up paddling, one of my friends saw an anchor and another large metal object in the water. The objects are almost covered by seaweeds so they may be easy to miss but if someone accidentally steps on them or falls on (from paddling, kayaking or even just simple swimming), they may conceivably cause very serious injuries or even death. We raised this concern to Mithi by emailing several of their addesses (info@mithiresort.com and sales@mithiresort.com). After initially replying that they will forward our concern to the appropriate team, they never replied again to our inquiry of whether the dangerous objects have been removed for the safety of their guests. We also sent messages about this hazard to their Instagram page. We know that they have read our messages (as evidenced by the "Seen" indicator) but they did not reply. It's just surprising that they havent acknowledged the seriousness of the situation given that it would also damage the resort's reputation if someone gets hurt.…
Mithi was the reception of our Wedding last June 25, 2022 and where we spent most our days before the wedding and all I can say is, Mithi was awesome! Super peaceful and serene! Gave us a very relaxing stay despite our hectic schedules, and our guests had an easy time with their reservations! Their FOOD is amazing! we ordered different food choices every meal and it never disappoint! The staff were also very friendly, helpful and courteous! Will definitely be back sooN! :)
We flew from Rizal to Bohol to experience the private beach. lt was a dismay that it was low tide. According to the Mithi staff, there would be water the following day, not sure though if it would be at 10 am to 12:00. We immediately requested for cancelation because our flight the next day is at 4pm. We were rejected despite our fervent request. Even a 50% refund was not granted despite the fact that we did not use the two rooms that we reserved. We had to talk to different people only to find out that all was futile. We left the place and were not accorded any consideration. To think that the room where we dropped our things was not that cozy it looked old and the door was squeaking. Until now we are waiting for their change of heart and will realize that they were not fair. There was no disclaimer in their ads about low tide. The third party, Agoda, said that they understand but it was the decision of Mithi that prevailed. Such a waste of time, money and effort. There was no warmth whatsoever. Thanks to the next hotel we booked in though it was already late. And it was not low tide in Alona.…
To be fair, the Sky Room Villa looks great. Unfortunately, the beauty of the place did not compensate for the bad experience we had with the staff. The check in process was the worst. Front desk was clueless. Flies were inside the room. The beach was filled with plastic wastes. Housekeeping took ages. The front desk personel was inattentive. The SPA does not offer all services in the menu. The service van was delayed. We came and we left Bohol with bad experience. I really don't know what happened since I have been in Bohol a few times before. In my past travels, the BOHOLANOS I know were really hospitable and friendly. So what happened to THIS resort? Mind you, the other resorts i've stayed before were less pricey but they delivered exquisite service. Based on my experience, I will never recommend this resort, sorry.…
BEST!!!!! I dont know about the bad reviews bad this hotel is divine!!!! Very relaxing ambiance! Super love the vibe! Don’t waste your money on Hennan resort. Go here! I tried both of them, i had bad experience with hennan check in pa lang stress na!
1 star service for a 4 star resort. We just wanted to have our rooms cleaned. I personally told the front desk around 2pm (other hotels start room cleaning in the morning) that we want our room s to be tidied up. Nobody came. My husband called the front desk at 6pm for room cleaning before we went out for dinner. When we arrived back to our rooms around 10pm, they were never cleaned. I called up the front desk so frustrated. Their excuse was (manager: ROJA) we never pressed the room cleaning services button in our room. BUT we’ve been telling the front desk to clean our rooms since 2pm!!!. My family and I frequently stay in resorts in Panglao. This incident never happened to us. Even without pressing the cleaning button/ or hanging the cleaning sign at the door, we always came back to a neat and tidy room. Is this your policy that WE SHOULD PRESS THE CLEANING SERVICE BUtton just to have our room cleaned EVEN we’ve informed the front desk over and over???? Another lame excuse they came up was, some guests never wanted their rooms to be cleaned without their consent. BUT we voluntarily informed (gave consent) that we want our rooms to be cleaned. I believe the hotel was not even at full capacity coz most of the cottages where very dark… We’re not coming back.…
The resort itself was beautiful. They have a private beach and the pools were big and had a nice view. Rooms were comfy and spacious. But overall service can be improved, considering their rates are a bit higher compared to other resorts in Panglao. Some things that can be improved: 1. Make sure rooms are ready upon check-in. We booked a total of 4 rooms. We arrived around 2:30pm and even ate first but one room was not ready by the time we finished eating which was 4:30pm. 2. Remind housekeeping to clean rooms. For the 4 days we stayed, we had to call several times to request for our rooms to be cleaned. Our rooms were cleaned at 6pm and sometimes they were not even cleaned at all. 3. Add more staff. It felt like the whole resort was understaffed. We had to call staff whenever we wanted to order at the bar and some thing we requested didn't even arrive. Overall, we enjoyed our stay because of the facilities. We felt that the resort was not prepared for the influx of guests during Holy Week. Will not stay at this resort again since there are other better resorts with lower rates.…
If you are looking for a quiet place for your mental health, peace of mind, and amaze again with the beauty of nature, I highly recommend Mithi Resort and Spa. We really enjoyed our 5-day stay here. The staff are very kind, helpful, and always smiling which also adds comfort and beauty to the place. The food they serve for breakfast is delicious as well as in their restaurant. Internet connection was not stable in the resort but it was okay for me because I'd rather more like to stay with nature than be in the toxicity and cancel culture we have now in social media.
I booked a room, specifying that we are the family with 2 children (3 and 5 years old) and we need a room with 2 beds., then I asked the time of check-in at the hotel. I had a reply that the booking was confirmed and that we can have early check -in at 12:30 am. We came around 1:45 pm (more one hour later than our suggested check-in time) and first we had to wait around 10 -15 min outside at the guards station because they couldn't find us on the guest list and they needed plenty of time to connect with reception. Finally we got in, I filled out all the forms, paid for the room and the security deposit also. After that receptionist told me to wait until 3pm when it be check-in time. I asked her why we have to wait until 3 pm if we were confirmed to check-in at 12:30 pm and now it's 2pm. She said that she would try to solve the problem, asked to wait and started calling. We waited around 30-40 minutes, kids got tired, started complaining and nagging. I asked the reception girl again what the problem was. She started calling again and after 5 minutes answered that the room we had confirmed booking was not available and the hotel can provide a room with 1 bed only. I explained for her that it is impossible for us to share 1 bed because we have 2 kids and the room with 2 beds was my main request. All she could say was sorry. No one offered to upgrade the room, reschedule the booking to other dates, discount on a room, a discount on dinner or complimentary dessert…. NOTHING!!!! This is the way how 5stars hotel treats guests!!!! After we had to wait again for the accountant to make money refund. At the end we wasted more than 2 hours of our day-off, made our small kids exhausted and got the bad mood from 5 stars hotel 🙈🙈 I chatted with them later and they promised they investigate what’s happened, but they were just words. Until now I don’t have any information. So if you looking for nice hotel at Panglao, choose any other EXCEPT Mithi resort. If you have a confirmed booking it doesn't mean Mithi resort will accommodate you. Even if you have already paid for it. And be ready to spend a couple of hours of your time to find that out.…
